Pour very warm, almost hot water into the toilet. Repeat until clog goes away.

Or run up to the hardware store and get a snake.

Sometimes I dream about overflowing toilets... nightmares, really.

We lived in a trailer house years ago, that the ‘outgoing’ pipes froze in. No amount of plunging was going to help in this scenario. We ended up pouring copious amounts of salt and some hot water down the toilet bowl until it finally thawed out.

Oddly enough the water pipes were very well insulated, and never froze in the 7 years we lived there. But the ‘outgoing’ pipes were never thought of, I guess.
