Any TFH suggestions for the new year?
Hey guys, been awhile since i've been on here. i have noticed theres not a lot of recent reviews for TFH. The last batch i got was in october and had the good red hangat indo irck-a1s. Has anybody got any suggestions for good TFH

Re: Any TFH suggestions for the new year?
There's a lot of good ones on the menu right now, and I totally agree with some of the choices above.
I don't try too many reds, so am not familiar with most of those, but there's a couple here.
For mid+/faster strains, I totally love the Afterburner Bali (a Top Five all-time TFH fave for me), Get 'Er Done Green, Green Dayak, Opal Indo, and the Old Fashioned White River Harvest. The Great "Bali" of Fire is really nice too; one of the few reds that hits for me every time; feels more like a just-above mid green.
For squarely mid or just under, I loved the brand-new Deep Jungle Sula Green (potent, just below mid and full of good feels), Old School Green Horn, Top Shelf Red MD, and Deep Jungle Green PMD (nice pain relief for a green). The Deep Jungle MD (oxidized) is also really nice, potent, mid- but def not sedating, helps me focus when I'm anxious about getting paperwork done.
For something a little more relaxing, I love the Blonde Borneo and the 24K Bali Especial. Both really unique in that way that many TFH batches are. I haven't tried the Mellow Yellow Indo, but I know that some people love it.
Happy shopping!!

30 Year Wild TFH is probably one of my favorite reds period. Wild Red Traditional Indo, top shelf red md, mellow yellow Indo, and wild harvest magic md are great as well.Itake2much wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 9:32 am Hey guys, been awhile since i've been on here. i have noticed theres not a lot of recent reviews for TFH. I found this version to be pretty heavy actually, but maybe at a low dose it could work. It really is an amazing batch though.Supersonic75 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 10:04 amHey, ADA; what’s the spec like on that Red Elephant Kali?

Also, if you’re looking for an EXTREMELY long lasting (12+ hours) white that provides energy, mood boost, and focus… TFH Afterburner Bali… it’s almost too potent and long lasting lol. Idk if I’m going to sleep tonight.

Re: Any TFH suggestions for the new year?
Hey guys! thanks for all the suggestions.I decided on ordering 500g red elephant kali, 500g old school green horn, 500g deep jungle white, 500g green forest borneo,250g slow it down suma, 250g afterburner bali, and 500g deep jungle sula. I already have some afterburner from around March last year and its fantastic. I will probably try and place a big order when i get my income tax back in a month or so. i also agree that the red tula kalimantan KARH-1C is fire, im pissed that i only got a split kilo of it and the red hangat indo back when chris had plenty of both. Anyway, i do appreciate the prompt replies to my post, i forgot what a great community this is.

I have keeping my serving really low and this Red seems to respond to that (at least for me)
Normally I have a hard time getting Reds to work and have to mix them with a White or Green, but the Tua just works on its own - at least with my chemistry

No not yet, but it'll for sure be in my next purchase, seeing some good feedback on it. Yeah that Sula is incredibly potent, wonderful feel good and happy effects as well. Did you happen to try the Putussibau Reserve? It seemed kinda weak and flat to me my first time trying it. Probably just need to try it a couple more times, but just curious if anyone else had a similar first experience.Supersonic75 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 6:21 pmTotally agree.....the Deep Jungle Sula it was my favorite of all the brand-new batches, and for me, definitely the most potent of all the newest greens. Ok I have a question. Deep Jungle Sula Green is your favorite of all the new batches? How do a lot of you guys test all the new batches? Do you have the $$$ do just buy everything as it comes out or are you requesting some sort of sample package deal? I gotta know!Supersonic75 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 6:21 pmTotally agree.....the Deep Jungle Sula it was my favorite of all the brand-new batches, and for me, definitely the most potent of all the newest greens. Also what is the deal with Deep Jungle MD (oxidized)? Sorry if it's a dumb question, I tried googling but all I could find is info on the process and that it could make it more potent. Also I think it is sold out too.

Re: Any TFH suggestions for the new year?
So, yes. I do buy most of the green, white and yellow batches as they are added to the menu. With reds, I usually buy after reading a review on MM or sometimes ask Chris about them and some of the samples they enclose are reds so I can find out about a few of them that way…..many reds just don’t hit for me from any vendor. I used to be a lot more selective about what I bought from TFH, but after purchasing frequently from them over the past 1.5 years, the quality is so consistent that I just order, even though I def like some batches way better than others. I also order mostly 100g bags, which is surely not so cost-effective but allows for a lot of variety. I’m a pretty low-doser and burn out on batches fairly easily even with rotating really frequently.kwest13 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 4:56 amOk I have a question. Have you tried the Green Forest Borneo? Can you explain what makes Deep Jungle Sula Green your new favorite? Because now I want to try it on my order. What about Deep Jungle Green PMD or Top Shelf Green PMD?
Also what is the deal with Deep Jungle MD (oxidized)? Sorry if it's a dumb question, I tried googling but all I could find is info on the process and that it could make it more potent. Also I think it is sold out too.
For me, the Deep Jungle Sula was squarely mid-spec, very potent and lots of good feels. The Top Shelf Green MD is just a wonderful, upbeat green. I love that Deep Jungle oxidized MD; for me it was just a little on the upper side of mid (at 1.75g) but also kind of relaxing; I really like it for paperwork and getting through various work stuff where I have to sit and focus. I really don’t know much about the science of oxidation, though! Enter the word into the MM search bar and you’ll def find info. I don’t remember what the Deep Jungle Green PMD is like and don’t have my bags with notes on them nearby, but remember liking it.
I’m not wealthy but can afford plenty of Kratom and tend to give a fair amount of it away to friends. I definitely started buying more of during the pandemic; it became this very welcome treat (somewhat of a guilty pleasure) that I looked forward to as I was working and doing nearly everything from home.
For me, TFH still has the greatest range of effects from batch to batch of any vendor that I’ve tried, so trying so many of them continues to be worth it. You can’t go wrong with any of the batches you were asking about

I had the same experience with the Putussibau. It just didn’t do much for me; tried it twice. That one and the Wild Prem G Bunut we’re very mild for me but I wanted to try them again for sure. Also not sure what I thought of the Wild W Vietnam XB.Adrumaddict wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 11:01 pmNo not yet, but it'll for sure be in my next purchase, seeing some good feedback on it. You seem to be pretty experienced with kratom, but also dose pretty low at 1.75g? I've always been skeptical of the "less is more" approach that a lot swear by. I've never really tried it though.

"Squarely mid spec" for me is neither sedating nor energizing, but in the example I was writing about there, just present and potent. That Sula, for me also has a bit of a mood boost to it, just good "feels" as they say.
"Upbeat" in my language is more like "upper mid-spec""......some energy, a "bright", "up" feel to it, but not "fast" like one might use to describe a "fast white".
Does that make some sense?
As far as dosing low goes, it's not an affectation (and btw, I've been using Kratom for 2.5 years and know a little about it, but there are lots of folks here at MM who are waaaaay more experienced/knowledgeable than I am). When I first started using, I found that a little under 2g is where it hit best for me (I like the more energizing qualities of kratom). That being said, like a lot of us I kept raising my dose, or took too many doses per day and really felt the diminishing returns...I'd feel sluggish and sometimes nauseous. I took some tolerance breaks and when I came back to it, I actually found that 1.5 was perfect for me. But over time, my "sweet spot' became somewhere between 1.5-2.25g, depending on the batch. Sometimes I go a little higher if my pain is really bad, but for everyday use, 1.75 or so is usually pretty solid for me. I'm sometimes envious of people that dose higher, because it sounds like they get a wider range of effects from their burns, but usually if i take more than, oh 2.25g I get.....almost nothing. It just does not work for me, or barely, with no improvement over my usual lower doses.
What's your usual dose?

It just does not work for me, or barely, with no improvement over my usual lower doses.
What's your usual dose?
Hehe good reply. Ok well I get the upper-mid-low spec now. Low-spec im assuming is full on "relaxing" and "sedating" type effect. What's a good example of a really low-spec strain/batch? I'm not sure I get what a "fast-spec" is though. Is a fast white like it just comes on real quick and leaves real quick type deal?
As for my dose. I dose a lot more but am still trying to figure out what works best for me. I'll also start by saying I haven't even dosed with what double M would call "top shelf kratom" yet. I started with local smoke shop brands and most brands did next to nothing as expected. I found only one shop brand that was actually good and stuck with that for awhile (a green MD). Then I got some samples sent out from some different double M vendors that I am still working on so that's where i'm at now. I haven't even gotten around to TFH/denette/STH type brands yet but I can't wait.
If I am coming off of a break I will start with 3g. And then it slowly goes up and then hovers between 5-6g depending on batch/vendor and other factors like time of day and empty stomach. Actually today I had a small lunch and then an hour later, because I had eaten, I upped a dose to around 6.5-7g to test it. It hit me like a freight train I felt high for the first 20-30min and then on and off waves of pretty bad nausea for the next 30-40mins. And then back to a normal kratom "feel" as it wore off. So even with food there is a fine line I gotta watch out for going too much.
I also just got this ordered that i'm gonna work with: Turmeric Curcumin with BioPerine 1500mg - Natural Joint & Healthy Inflammatory Support with 95% Standardized Curcuminoids for Potency & Absorption - Non-GMO, Gluten Free Capsules with Black Pepper.. Supposed to help with tolerance ect. Everyone doses kratom for different reasons. You said you use it for pain I think? Yeah I use it more for calm, focus, and mood lift.

Re: Any TFH suggestions for the new year?
Same here with the G Bunut. The Jade Hulu was fairly decent for me though. Sounds like you and I might have similar reactions to leaf.Supersonic75 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 10:11 amI had the same experience with the Putussibau. Yeah that Sula is incredibly potent, wonderful feel good and happy effects as well. Did you happen to try the Putussibau Reserve? It seemed kinda weak and flat to me my first time trying it. Probably just need to try it a couple more times, but just curious if anyone else had a similar first experience.Supersonic75 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 6:21 pm
Totally agree.....the Deep Jungle Sula it was my favorite of all the brand-new batches, and for me, definitely the most potent of all the newest greens. Loved it. Gonna check out the Red Hangat as well.
Have you tried the Green Forest Borneo?
I have the Forest G Borneo and a few others arriving in a couple of days; I’m psyched to try them!
