UH Manoa Warriors college and NFL FOOTBALL!

Post by IndelibleDotInk »

University of Hawaii @ Manoa football fan! Go (Rainbow) Warriors! RIP Colt Brennan.

Also have a liking for the Green Bay Packers, and follow Hawaii-born Marcus Mariota (currently with Vegas Raiders).

GAH! We lost to San Jose State University. A totally winnable game, both sides dropped the ball 5x and seemed anemic.

I think it's cool that the Packers are owned by their fans!

Packers over Steelers, echoes of UH vs Fresno State, also exciting til the end. NFL gamepass is where it's at, love the condensed games. Free trial.

UH lost to University of Nevada, formerly UN Reno, a totally winnable game starting off with two rushing touchdowns by UH's Dae Dae Hunter, 187 yards.

We were intercepted frequently.

Hopefully we get our 1st string qb Cordeiro back next game.

On the plus side, we have started following the ESPN Sports Animals guys to the various Big City Diners locations to watch the games and become familiar with them, they take entries from patrons and we get tons of shirts, hats, etc. Last game I got a neat 2020 olympics collector set of framed coins. We do miss watching the game on the big screen, a theater near our old home would show the games, but is still closed, and i guess they can only do 50% capacity which would not be profitable. Sure was nice, though, and comfy.

Hawaii lost to UNLV (27-13), won a high scoring game against Colorado State (50-45) last week, and today they won (38-14) at Wyoming.

Last two games, Beau Graham (offensive coach) has been calling plays from the review booth upstairs instead of from the sidelines, and it's helped a bunch. Also Cordeiro ran the ball for several first down gains, his receivers didn't drop any balls, few penalties, a hail mary at the end of the first half had Mardner in the endzone with three Wyoming would be tacklers trying to intercept the ball as well as try to make him fumble, but this was a beautiful photograph of what the team could do if everything clicked like these past two games.

Hopefully we get to play in a bowl game, but that'd take at least two teams pulling out.

Pretty disastrous end of the year shakeup of the UH coaching staff. Todd Graham resigned after most of the talent left the next year's team and a lot of others claimed he at least verbally abused players and caused them to blame each other for poor results. This led to June Jones, UH's most winningest football coach being wooed back, but his terms were not met, so Timmy Chang, a former star quarterback under Jones, to be signed as head coach. Major weirdness.

My Packers lost, so I guess I will root for the Bengals and Burroughs.
