My kava picks for the beginner
Edit 7/29/20 - Find Lab Rat on MeWe and try his superior instant kava for a fantastic price. I haven't yet tried his micronized, but it should be good; I will pick some up when he restocks.
Cha ching, gonna have to spend some dough, and it'll cost ya much more than kratom, but quite enjoyable, getting kavafied is kinda like being drunk, a not subtle mood booster, relaxing and social.
Dehydrated juice from Bula Kava House is an easy number one choice. It's not dried ground root and it only takes 1/4 teaspoon (as opposed to multiple Tablespoons of ground root) per serving. Ultra potent, way less liquid to drink, and the drink when you use this is nice and watery, not chunky like when you are using the dried root and try to get away with less water for more Tablespoons. Taste is on point, not too muddy and spicy, more mild, easy to drink, pound some out with your buddies and shout "Bula!"

Second is Gourmet Hawaiian Kava, straight from my home state, GHK has 4 strains of instant kava: http://gourmethawaiiankava.com/product- ... stant-kava. These awas (awa, pronounced "ah vah," is Hawaiian for "kava"). They vary in potency and flavor, I would ask which is a strong batch, and they have a milder taste which is actually enjoyable chugged (traditional way is chugging, no frills here).
Back to Bula House, their micronized root is similar to GHK, but not as tasty. Again several varieties to try.
Lastly is Kalm with Kava, micronized root available in 8 types. I tried Borongoru, Loa Waka, and Melo melo. The kavas described as stronger were stronger in potency.
