acv, yerba mate, and kombucha

Post by IndelibleDotInk »

Does anyone drink these funky teas?

I've tried apple cider vinegar drinks, did not like much.

Yerba mate seemed to be ok, the once i tried it.

kombucha seems kinda gross, but will try.

I wanna ramp up my guts and find a brand that is mmmmmmmmmmmm and healthy.

Kombucha is the best, of those imo... In my neighborhood the supermarkets have an entire section FULL of Kombucha.. I enjoy maybe 1 per week. Yerba Mate has 85 mg of caffeine per cup, contains less caffeine than coffee but more than a cup of tea. I already drink coffee, so not switching to YM! ACV drinks ? No thanks but I use a Tsp of ACV, in my kratom red bubble Tea daily.

Probiotics are good. Kombucha doesn't have enough really.. I'm doing the Goodbelly yogurt and juice, better than probiotics caps. :geek:

I've been meaning to get some yerba mate to try, just been shopping less these days and trying to get in & out with the quickness and forgot to grab. I should grab another can of that fancy chicory coffee while I'm at it, just for some variety. :)

Apple cider vinegar is pretty bitter by itself, it makes grapefruit juice seem like kool-aid in comparison ha-ha. I used to mix some acv in with my orange juice, but I never really noticed any 'health benefits' or anything, so I never got a 2nd bottle of it.

I usually take a shot of acv every day. I dilute it in water though and chase it with even more water. I don't mind the taste that much anymore but it still hits you kinda weird with the acidity. Overall I feel a lot better when I take it. Its really good when you've got a stomach issue, whether sick or even anxious. It really alkalizes your body.

Kombucha is ok but kinda expensive. However, I started making water kefir. Its really easy to make (you can buy yogurt kefir but I don't do dairy) and its a really good way to get probiotics. Honesty its probably good to have something like this for those who take kratom and the related constipation issue. I'm overall more regular and the drink honestly is quite refreshing.

i had a ginger kombocha today, not bad, like a super light vinegar flavor. i wouldn't want to drink it all the time, but 's ok.

My brother drinks kombucha every day and swears by it. I've tried it a few times, but obviously not often enough to get any benefit from it. He loves the stuff though. He mixes his kratom with it sometimes lol.

I used to do a shot of ACV every day when the doctors thought my abdominal problems might be gallbladder related. I heard it's great for gallbladder problems. However, it turns out my problems weren't gallbladder related after tests, so I stopped doing it. It gave me a stomach ache a few times. To be honest, I probably wasn't doing it right. I didn't even dilute it. Thankfully I didn't do it long term.

Yeah you definitely wanna dilute it. Else if you have an ulcer or other issues it can make it worse. ACV is too acidic.

Ginger kombucha is good for the stomach too. Or you can be crazy like me and just eat ginger straight. Its not bad. I'll cut slivers off of it and chew on those a few times a day. Its great for digestion and its anti-inflammatory so it works for pain too. Its also antibacterial and it works on your lungs if you've got congestion from a cold.

I have a bottle of these ginger & turmeric capsules, I keep wondering how awful the tea would taste if I broke open 4-5 of them and stirred them in some hot water.
