Maybe I'll put a sale post up when things settle down at work. I make 10 jars at a time and if I can sell most of them here, then I'll do it.
Very late response but just happened to see this. I have read about your salve many times in different posts. I think it would be great for my mother, and probably I could use it too. It's for pain right? (sorry if I am confusing this for something else). My mother turns 61 this year. I moved to Raleigh a few years ago to take care of my parents. I'm always looking for something good for pain to help my parents deal with aches and pains. My mom has Fibromyalgia and a Pain cream that she could rub on I think could be very helpful, esp to rub on joints and lower back/neck. Weed is still not legal in any way here in NC :x But if you ever make a salve I'd love to buy one from you sometime :) Either way, its awesome of you to make something that helps yourself and others.

But to add a random thought: Hemp CBD Bud that is smoked/vaped is excellent for minor muscle aches or tension/knots in the neck or upper shoulder area. Pain relief from smoked cbd hemp flower is almost instant. Doesn't last long, and not near relief of kratom (more like relief for dull aches/tension). But it is great for sleeping! Actually excellent for sleep!! I buy from fieldofhemp and it really is useful (not the oils or gummies or all the other hemp cbd stuff on the market that to me does nothing but rip people off). Every strain I have tried has been sedating/relaxing, but wish I could find an upper energetic hemp flower like a good Sativa. But North Carolina doesn't seem like it will do anything about medical or rec weed anytime soon, which just sucks!! Hemp cbd is legal (has to be under certain limit of thc which means it basically has no thc) but recently there has been a push in NC by law enforcement to make hemp cbd bud illegal because it looks exactly like regular weed and cops can't tell the difference or something. Insane it is even a debate to make it illegal. It is kind of harsh to smoke so thinking of switching to a vape that can vape hemp bud. Anyone know a good vape to use for dry hemp bud? Prefer something simple and easy to use for my parents, and not too too expensive of course... something they could just dropped some bud into a chamber and push a button and then vape. I checked out the vaping sub reddits but my mind was overwhelmed with too many choices/information/lists/etc (guess I know how Kratom noobs feel now  )

My random thoughts turned into random page length thoughts. Maybe I'll go smoke now and relax myself ;)

I may have some jars of balm available soon and I'll get back to you if I do. It helps my aches and pains from age and arthritis very much and would probably help your mom too. We are pretty close in age.

I am a huge Random Introspective Person...

I sense this thread will become B!G from here on out.

Here's mine:
I'm irritated right now becuz I started talking to a cute girl and we have each others cell #'s but she doesnt even get back to me.
What is the damn point of having my number if you dont even get back to me??
She makes no sense.
I try to be and am patient. Idk why she acts liek this. Is she ghosting me? Is she just busy with her life.
:x
I'm not going to analyze this BS and or am not going to blow up her phone. But for goodness sake have some respect and respond to me. We're both adults and after a week if you don't get back to me, I honestly should just move on. I care too much apparently.

She acts like she cares and yet doesnt even get back to me? WTF yeah okay that makes sense.

This generation is fkn ridiculous.
Bro you're probably going to get a lot of different advice. People now a days take very serious views on dating, sometimes we all forget that everyone are just people with different things going on. She could be busy, maybe she did ghost you, or maybe she just isnt good with her phone; but I'm going to tell you in the end none of that matters.

When you get in a relationship, that is when you take it to a serious and exclusive level where it's just you and the person you are with. But I've noticed that a lot of people want to do that when they are just dating and not even in a relationship. I've been married for 10 years now, so admittedly I have been out of the game for a long time. But when I first started dating Mianna, I was also dating six other girls. Now I wasn't in a relationship with any of them, but we were dating meaning we would talk on the phone, hang out and go out on dates. We were getting to know each other and life is too short to put all of your attention at one person at a time. After about 6 months of dating Mianna I realized she was the one I wanted to be in a committed relationship with, I broke it off with everyone else and asked her to be my girlfriend.

What I'm trying to say in all of this man, is try not to get hung up on this one girl. Spread yourself out, just be honest with the girls you date that it's not exclusive yet, you're just trying to get to know each other and it will work out fine. In my experience it makes you look more appealing because other girls see you as more desirable. And you never know, this girl might actually end up being the one that's extra special to you, you just got to give it the space and time to see. But definitely don't waste your time on any one girl until you know they are the one you want to be with, life is too shirt for that kind of stress man

This Quarantine has me mixing up night with day so I've been up all night lately. I also had a tiny bit of weed at 3 a.m. All which is to say that my "senses" are having fun with me.
So I was on youtube, listening to Trump shouting his bizzarro stories to his rally-fans. I noticed that if I close my eyes and partially cover my ears, he sounds like a furious duck: "quack quack ...... quackquackquack!!"

That's pretty random, yeah?

Finally got approved for unemployment yesterday, and hopefully the debit card will arrive in the mail this week. So my random thoughts are: Unemployment is a nightmare and appears designed to make as many people as possible not get benefits :x

And then I thought I'm going to buy another Kilo from TFH before the open event ends! ;)

How long ago did you file?

I'm still waiting and I found out yesterday why I and two of my co-workers ended up in adjudication. The manager waited over a week to send back our paperwork and she must have put some information on them that contradicted what we said in our claims because we were all three popped into adjudication on the same day which would have been a couple days after she finally sent in the paper work.

I am FURIOUS to say the least.

Yes, unemployment is a nightmare, these days at least.

I filed my first application for unemployment benefits on March 16. I was deemed "Ineligible" but had no idea why. Could not get ahold of anyone on phone or email. I called everyday. Yesterday I filed a new application that was set up specifically for self employed and gig workers and others who were ineligible for whatever reason. I don't know how its done in other states but this was added to North Carolina unemployment site yesterday: "What is PUA? Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, or PUA, is a federal program for people who are unable to work as a direct result of COVID-19 and are not eligible for regular state unemployment benefits, such as independent contractors or self-employed workers."

So I filed for that and got a pending status right away. A few hours later and I was approved. I still don't know why I got denied regular benefits, but this PUA has the same benefits. I am getting back pay from the week of March 15. So I'll get $600 a week from the federal payment bill passed on top of the weekly PUA benefits which for me is only $110 a week  I don't no why my weekly is so low when other co-workers who work less then me and make less are getting anywhere from 250-350$ a week, but hey, I'm just happy I finally got approved. I am waiting on the debit card they send because I don't have a bank account at the moment so hopefully I'll get it this week.

My homepage says I've been paid out $550 dollars, so 5 weeks I've been eligible (110 per week). With the added 600$ per week when I get my debit card it should have $2350 (for 5 weeks at $110 per week back pay plus 3 weeks of the $600 federal money added per week). Thats what is says on my homepage, that I've been given $2350. I've been out of work since March 14 which was my last shift. This isn't 100% of lost income but it will make up most of what I have lost. North Carolina has one of the worst unemployment systems in the country and one of the least weekly benefits ($110 for me a week, seriously  ). The updated states in NC is around 750,000 people have applied for benefits in the past 5 weeks and over 200,000 have received benefit money. So basically 1 out of 3 people who apply get lucky while the other 2 still wait. It's a nightmare indeed.

HH, have you been approved and just have a "pending" status? Can you see any monetary determination on how much you get a week? A lot of my co-workers got denied for reasons like yours, or other stupid reasons. One friend got denied because they answered one confusing question wrong, even though that question has been waived to be approved. The computer system just auto-denies people here for one wrong answer.

Hopefully your's gets fixed soon! People around here are getting desperate. When did you initial file yours? I made sure to do all the weekly certifications. At least they are giving back pay for any weeks missed from the time of your initial application filing.

I am Pending and will be getting $188/week, which is our minimum. Although a news station in Seattle reported that the minimum was $235/week, I don't know where they got that.

March 21st was my last day and I filed on 3/22. Was immediately approved for standby and given my monetary determination. Then it's been Pending every week ever since. Says I'm in Adjudication as of 4/3.

So freaking frustrated.

Hope your situation gets fixed and you get your benefits soon. It was such a weight off my soldiers just knowing the money is coming. I had credit space available and a decent safety net so I was not worried about food and bills, but I was burning through my savings which took me years to even get savings. My benefits will make up most of that.

I have been so unproductive even with all the time off and free time on my hands. The stress of dealing with the uncertainty of unemployment basically took up all my mental energy. I was constantly calling, emailing, checking the site, reading up what to do or what I may have done wrong. I was on the North Carolina reddit everyday, more then I was on here. The whole process I feel like I was just in a fog and can't believe its been since 6 weeks since I last worked. I have got nothing done really. But now that I have confirmation I can breath a sigh of relief. And I'm already planning a giant list of chores and things to do. Spring Cleaning is first up!

There's a big wildfire across the river and over the hill. This afternoon they have the water tanker planes that fly along the water and fill up their reservoirs. There are four of these planes, they must have got here this afternoon while I was taking a nap.

I talked to one of the pilots years ago and he told me how they work. He said you only need a straight stretch of about a quarter mile to fill up. He was telling me stories about boats trying to race him and flights he'd made. I told him "You have to be kinda crazy to be flying like this!" He nodded his head vigorously and said Yep!

Damn! I'm sorry. I broke my Big toe four weeks ago. You can always "buddy-tape" it and walk in a hard bottomed shoe. I also found a good pain-killing red strain VERY helpful.

I've been soaking in epsom salts (I don't understand why that stuff works so well) and I have an oil blend that are all the base oils for a pain balm I make, I've been putting that on and it helps. I've come so close yesterday and today to bashing that toe again. lol

Re: Random thoughts

I'm going to resurrect an old thread. Except I forgot what I was going to post. It must have been REALLY random.

Oh yeah, not I remember.

So I had a 3 year subscription to a foodie magazine called Saveur. They cut their editions down from 9/year to 4/year right after I paid and then they quit publishing period. I should have questioned it sooner but the thought didn't pop into my head until last week. Hey, I should have a refund coming! I only got like 4 editions after I paid for 3 years!

So I sent them an email with my name and address. I get a big long email back, they can't find me. They want to know this and they want to know that and they had a list about 6 or 7 items long of info they wanted.

Seriously, if you can't find me in your computer system by my name and address, then you have a problem.

So I went down to the basement and dug around until I could get out the two milk crates full of their magazines, found one with a mailing label on it and emailed them back. And then I got kind of snarky. "Surely you have all this information in your computer system."

Want to bet they still can't find me so they can't give me a refund, oh so sorry.

Long ago I bought a subscription to Tattoo Savage from Amazon, forgot about it, and never got any issues (magazine issues, I have a whole subscription to problem issues, lol). Three years later, I was like 'hey, I never got my tattoo mags!' and used Amazon's contact chat (it's hard to find on the website, but the best way to get in touch with them) and told them I never got any issues. Guess what - they refunded me! So their customer service workers have a lot of leeway to keep us clients happy, don't be afraid to ask.

It's funny, I can sit at the computer and read stuff and do forums and Reddit all day long but I cannot just sit and watch movies. A 30 minute Youtube video is pushing it. I used to love to watch TV and movies when I was younger. Hit my 50s and no more.

Ever seen the 1963 black and white version of The Haunting? It's one of my favorite movies (and books). Maybe I'll take the book on my trip and read myself to sleep with it out in the woods. In the night. In the dark.

I just put it in the queue based on your recommendation. I saw it the other day and skipped over it because we watched the Netflix version a couple of months ago and I figured I already new the story. I remember "The Yellow Wallpaper" from school , one of those stories that gets in your head and won't leave.

This movie is the classic of all classics! I think you'll like it. Read the book if you like reading, it's also a classic.

The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson

<3

edit: Almost forgot.

In the night. In the dark.

The opening paragraph of "The Haunting": "No live organism can continue for long to exist sanely under conditions of absolute reality; even larks and katydids are supposed, by some, to dream. Hill House, not sane, stood by itself against its hills, holding darkness within; it had stood so for 80 years and might stand for 80 more. Within, walls continued upright, bricks met neatly, floors were firm, and doors were sensibly shut; silence lay steadily against the wood and stone of Hill House, and whatever walked there, walked alone." (from "The Haunting of Hill House," novel by Shirley Jackson, published in 1959)

read some poe and lovecraft in the dark, lol. 'cask of amontillado' still freaks me out, he's got some good detective stuff, and lovecraft's space god monstrosity horror are nuts.
