OG Botanicals Review

Review for OG Botanicals. Hunter was kind enough to send me 2 1 oz samples to try out and review. I have burned both twice at varying doses and am ready to report back on them. Customer service was excellent as to be expected from our top level vendors. He reached out to me, and helped me pick out what he thought would be ideal for me. As you'll see from the review, he nailed it on one of the options. While these were sent for free, this in no way affected my review. Good leaf is good leaf, bad leaf is bad leaf, and I want to prevent others from making mistakes on vendors as I have. I have nothing but good things to say about my interaction with this vendor, and the leaf is on par with many of the other great vendors.

First up, OG Cambo

Pain Relief-7.5/10. On par for what I would expect from a green type of leaf. Did the job for me, no complaints.

Fast or Slow? Mid-Slow (I asked specifically for slower varieties, so no surprise here)

Moodlift-8/10. I felt really good on this. It provided a bit of the body warmth of a red, but it was light. This one was much more smiling than anything. It lifted my spirits both times I used it. Would definitely recommend for a depression sort of situation if you are not interested in energy.

Anxiety Relief-7.5/10. Pretty good here. 7.5 is my benchmark for decent leaf in this regard, so it nailed what I would like to see.

Legs-7/10. This hung on right around the 2 hour mark for me, which is as much as I can ask for with my tolerance (happened with a 6g dose as well as a 5g dose).

Versatility-7/10. This one will slow down anything you mix it with, so proceed with caution if mixing with reds. Would blend well with white for the day time, but I wouldn't blend with a red unless you want sleep. It loses a few points for me on this one due to the fact that I like to blend green/red during the day, but this would make for a slow combo. I have blended with a white and a green and enjoyed it, but red put me down. lol

Overall-7.5/10. This is good quality leaf. If you're looking for a slow green with a nice smile to it and a dash of that red warmth, this is a great option. If you are looking for a more classic mid green, I would probably look towards the second strain I am reviewing for him and skip this one. Personally, I would buy this. I think it is excellent for what it is, but lacks just a bit of the versatility of a mid green.

For the second "strain", we'll be discussing his OG Indo

Pain Relief-8/10. I got a bit more pain relief here than the last one, which is welcomed as I get back into training (bodybuilding) after a shoulder injury that is still nagging me.

Fast or Slow? Mid, maybe even mid-fast

Moodlift-7/10. This one was much less moodlift for me, but that's not to say it didn't hit the spot. This one was more of the creative energy moodlift versus the couch lock mood lift (I prefer in the middle of these two, which is the only reason this looses a point). If you are into a more mid-fast green type of lift, this is a great option. I felt great, but it just wasn't the particular feeling I look for in leaf (I'm incredibly picky! I don't hand out above a 7.5 on this category unless it REALLY gets me).

Anxiety Relief-7.5. No complaints. I was impressed with it being slightly on the faster side that it helped with anxiety as much as the previously mentioned option did. Well done here.

Legs-6.5/10. As most fast strains with me, I only saw about an hour and a half with this one (both on a 5g burn and 6g burn). Please keep in mind, strains that normally last 4-6 hours for people only last about 2 or so for me, so this is solely MY rating. YMMV. I believe if my tolerance was lower this could last the normal kratom time for most.

Versatility-8/10. This brought this one back in for me. Makes a lovely blend with a red to give it that slower warmth. I blended with a red as well as a white and it blends well with both depending on what you are looking for. I actually prefer this one in blends. Try this out, I think you'll be happy with it.

Overall-7. I like this, it just didn't tickle me quite as much as the previously mentioned leaf. 7 may seem low, but keep in mind for me, 5 is average leaf. This is still above average quality. I felt great on it, but it lost points for the faster moodlift (I use kratom for depression), as well as the slightly shorter legs. If you like mid-fast greens, give this a go, and I bet your personal rating will be high!
