Hey ya'll, I wanted to see if anyone was interested in having another section in 'Other Herbal Products' dedicated to discussion about legal hemp flower/concentrates? I know hemp/cbd has been a real godsend in helping me relax and get better sleep. I am sure there are others in this forum that feel the same??

I would definitely be into that! I have just recently discovered hemp flowers and am totally in love with 'em. After years of smoking traditional thc oriented cannabis, and enjoying being 'stoned' less and less, I feel like the affects from hemp are what I have actually been desiring. I've never tried CBD, and know next to nothing about it. Id love to learn more about it though. I used to be a chronic weed smoker but quit years ago, so I don't know if I'd be into smoking the flower itself, but I'd be interested in getting the bottom line from those that are into it, and their experiences with it, without getting too "in the weeds" as they say. It just feels a little overwhelming as a total newb.
But I mean, it is sold over the counter in gummies and such, I feel like I should educate myself, since it's gone mainstream. I know I could just Google it, but I value information from those who have first hand experience with it and what good vendors are. And hearing about through a kratomites perspective would be valuable. As we all know, google and wikipedia aren't exactly kratom's ally when it comes to finding the right unbiased source to read up on it, I can only assume there are some anti-CBD bad actors that treat it in a similar way.

So count me interested. If not a subform, a topic in off topic would be cool. But it seems like the kava forum doesn't get much traffic so a CBD sub might make sense, as a trial anyway, and I could see a CBD subforum bringing in some fresh blood that may be interested in learning about kratom as the same time.
(Or if any of you know of a good, informative, and unbiased site that has an FAQ-like section about it and the differences between real THC weed and hempflower and isolated CBD, I sure would appreciate that! )

Fieldofhemp .com is where I buy hemp flower. Found them looking at the cfbflower/reddit forum. Lots of advice there. Me and my parents have had great success using hemp cbd flower to sleep, and also excellent for pain that is knots and tension of the muscles (basically great for the minor annoying aches and pains, it doesn't come close to kratom for the real pain relief).

I'd also love a place on here to discuss this. I'm still new this hemp flower. Would love to vape hempcbd flower. It is harsh, at least to me. I've heard vaping produces better taste and less harshness. Don't know where or what kind of dry bud vape to buy though

Great to hear of everyones interest! Sorry i am just now replying, its tough that i am not able to get notifications of when someone replies to my post here. Wish it was more like reddit, that i could get real time post notifications.

I have found the best way for me to consume CBD is with raw hemp flower buds. Vaping is ok and it does help me sleep, but effects are so-so for me. the most profound effects i have gotten are from decarbing hemp flower and putting it into capsules with some MCT oil. I feel a whole range of intense effects then--sedation, relaxation, pain relief, digestion ease, peace and wellbeing...the list goes on! Plus the oral consumption lasts forever! Like all day/night! Only downside is that it takes around 2 hours for onset. And best taken on an empty stomach, just like Kratom.

Anyway, My main use is as a sleep aid and anxiety crusher. I have struggled with falling to sleep for most of my adult life and this is the only natural remedy that really works. Ashwagahnda does help with sleep too.

From what i can tell, Hemp flower or CBD buds are usually a cross between a hemp strain and marajuana, but the thc has to come out below 0.3%. It is federally legal because of the Farm Bill in 2018.

There's no risk to ordering it. However, I wouldn't drive around with it once you've opened the shipping packaging. Cops definitely might think it is marijuana. And if they do, there is no telling whether or not the courts will distinguish between delta 9 and total thc when testing the thc %. They should, but lets be honest, some of these courts are behind the times.

But yeah, if you can stick to just using it at home and don't need to pass a drug test, I'd say order some. I recently got some from Project Hemp Flower. Their Alpen Gleaux is impressive.

The benefits are calming relaxation? Some have suggested for RLS as well as anxiety.

We don't have legalized recreational mj here yet, I'd be worried about getting a ticket, provoking anxiety tbh.

Mileage may vary, but for me, it just makes me sleepy and a bit spacey. For that reason, I only use it at bedtime. I'm naturally an anxious person and at low doses it has had a slightly positive effect on anxiety. However, high doses tend to increase my anxiety levels.

MJ is still illegal in my state as well. So long as you have it shipped to your residence and don't take it in public, you won't have any legal troubles.

I've become a big fan of CBD flower, especially for sleep and relaxation. About shipping, most vendors ship paperwork with your order for postal inspectors/law enforcement.

I've done some research but there is so much info (and dis-info) out there that it's hard to know where to look for unbiased truth. I feel like I now know what to direction to go and where to look for the different options! I'm currently on the Horn Creek Hemp and Vivimu websites now and will be checking out the other sites you mentioned too!! CBDv/THCv I have seen pop up a lot recently either in different products or discussions, so I'll be sure to keep an eye on those. What is the most energetic Cannabinoids/terp, in your opinion/experience? If I remember correctly, CBG is energetic/daytime (I think). My father loves the uppity 'sativa' weed, and he's always so tired as he's getting older, so I've been looking for something that, in his words, makes his teeth grind . Some delta-8 edibles have worked real well for giving him the ability to stay awake/alert, but he prefers smoking (both my parents are huge lifelong, daily potheads and I've only recently started to partake with them ).

Most energetic cannabinoid IMO is THCv, by a mile. It's like caffeine-weed. Might be my favorite cannabinoid overall actually. CBG is nice but I wouldn't call it energetic necessarily.

I never delved too much into terpenes. IME their effect is overstated and you can get better results just buying essential oils high in myrcene or limonene or pinene or linalool or whatever you're looking for. I really like lavender oil (linalool) for bed time. Limonene based terpenes would be good for energy. Personally I don't feel like terpenes are safe to vape in the amounts some of these products have.

I would trust 3chi to sell you a high purity product, but I wouldn't necessarily trust any of their products to be 'safe'. Inhaling sticky, non water soluble goo is not good for your lungs and I think anyone who dabs can feel that lol. As for THCo, I don't know. They're a good company, but we're basically guinea pigs. There's also a massive lack of chromatographs with these noids so you also need to remember some of these products have undisclosed isomers that are probably relatively safe, but still unresearched.

I ordered from those places thanks to your suggestions and very happy thus far, not to mention the sites themselves were extremely helpful with the information and knowledge they provide to customers. So far my mother and I tried a hemp CBG flower about 1 hour ago and very impressed with the early results! We got nice muscle relaxing effects without being sedating. It was a Sour G CBG pre-roll that we smoked half a joint of from Horn Creek Hemp. Not harsh at all, and actually it was surprising how smooth it was. Hemp in the past was too harsh for but this was nice (though it didn't taste very good, but we didn't cough at all, so that's a huge plus). Thanks again for the suggestion. Both me and my mom got noticeable pain relief (muscle relaxation type relief) and calming of the mind, which is perfect for my mother after work. I have been able to hold off taking my next kratom dose because the pain relief I got from the little bit I smoked, and I feel nice and mellow in a very subtle way (my mind's not racing).

I have some CBDv and THCv flower from both vendors I got in my orders also! Will let you know how they are, but my initial impression is the quality has greatly improved from the last time I bought hemp flower. And I have some edibles to try as well with my order arriving Monday.

I also took your advice and have stayed away from vaping these newer cannabinoids (or any oils/concentrates), and will stick to flower and edibles (cheaper that way anyway). Would a good vape for bud/flower be a healthier option than smoking joints/bowls?

Appreciate you spending the time to find me good links and suggestions! I actually just got an order from Horn Creek Hemp today, and have an order from Fern Valley Farms coming Monday. I ordered from those places thanks to your suggestions and very happy thus far, not to mention the sites themselves were extremely helpful with the information and knowledge they provide to customers. I learned a lot from Fern Valley Farms website in particular

So far my mother and I tried a hemp CBG flower about 1 hour ago and very impressed with the early results! We got nice muscle relaxing effects without being sedating. It was a Sour G CBG pre-roll that we smoked half a joint of from Horn Creek Hemp. Not harsh at all, and actually it was surprising how smooth it was. Hemp in the past was too harsh for but this was nice (though it didn't taste very good, but we didn't cough at all, so that's a huge plus). Thanks again for the suggestion. Both me and my mom got noticeable pain relief (muscle relaxation type relief) and calming of the mind, which is perfect for my mother after work. I have been able to hold off taking my next kratom dose because the pain relief I got from the little bit I smoked, and I feel nice and mellow in a very subtle way (my mind's not racing).

I have some CBDv and THCv flower from both vendors I got in my orders also! Will let you know how they are, but my initial impression is the quality has greatly improved from the last time I bought hemp flower. And I have some edibles to try as well with my order arriving Monday.

I also took your advice and have stayed away from vaping these newer cannabinoids (or any oils/concentrates), and will stick to flower and edibles (cheaper that way anyway). Would a good vape for bud/flower be a healthier option than smoking joints/bowls?

Thanks again!! I think these products will be very helpful for my parents and myself. I don't like the typical "high" feelings anyways so this is pretty much what I was looking for. Hey man! I'm so glad this helped you and your mom out. Hemp is awesome and I'm honestly completely in love with it. I can't believe I used to think CBD was snake oil or a scam lol. My first hemp purchase was only because my weed dealer stopped responding to me.

I definitely recommend a vape over smoking. That's the healthiest way to use cannabis flower besides taking edibles or topicals or sticking it up your butt. I personally use a dynavap which is a manual vape that you can use either with an induction heater (which you can build yourself with a step by step guide easily/OR buy one online) or you can use a torch type lighter. It takes some technique to get down, but it's really nice. If you like joints or blunts, you'll like the feel of a dynavap. And with vapes you can use a lot less flower too. I do 1 cap for THC flower and 2-4 for CBD flower. Dynavap vapcaps are relatively cheap ($75ish for the M) for how durable and well-engineered they are. I've been using mine since 2018.

If you'd rather have a big hitter, the best I can recommend is something from Storz & Bickel which created the Volcano, if you've heard of it. Expensive but wow, do they hit. More like a power tool than a joint. I haven't ever owned one (I've tried them all) but I want to buy the Plenty, which plugs into the wall. The Mighty has a non-removable battery that can die, so its lifespan is not quite as long as their plug-in models. I think they do have a good replacement policy on it but I'm not sure.

I like vaping because you avoid the carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons that form from an organic combustion reaction/smoking. Lots of stoners like to deny that smoking weed is linked to cancer because weed isn't carcinogenic, but burning almost anything natural is carcinogenic.

I also run my vapcap through a bong (sometimes with ice) to cool the vapor and its super duper smooth and delicious. I think the vapcap is the most tasty of all vapes I've ever tried if you keep it clean. But there are lots of other great vapes out there that people swear by. This is just my opinion :p If you smoke/vape with your mom you might like something from Storz and Bickel or another good vendor with a larger bowl.

There are quite a few vapes out there that are really outdated as far as the tech goes, so its important to look for reviews and make sure the product isn't ancient. Don't buy the magic flight launch box lol or the PAX 1 or 2 or tbh the PAX in general lol. Only ancient model you should consider IMO is the Volcano (which has had some updates in any case). I'm waiting to see what's on sale for 4/20 but I'll be buying some new equipment soon too Looking at that Plenty.

After reading this thread it appears that virtually everyone here would like to see a dedicated CBD Hemp flower section added, yet it hasn't been done.

It would be great to hear from mods / owners of this site if/when they will add a CBD / hemp section, or if not, why they decided against adding one.

A few years ago I spent some time on this site researching kratom and ordered quite a bit from a forum member here; I hated the taste & I'm not big on opioids / downers, so turns out kratom isn't for me.

However, CBD, hemp, delta-8/9/10 I'm very interested in & would love to get better better / cheaper / more consistent sources for.

I got myself set up to vape CBD flower a while ago and did a little research on vapes because I know nothing about them and ended up with the Fury Edge from Healthy Rips, after trying a cheaper $80 pen type from a smoke shop. I love the Fury and got the flower from Beleafer, tried several different ones, only one had obviously too much THC because it got me high which I don't like and I read all descriptions and look for indica strains for relaxation and anxiety. I did try one other source but wasn't as good. Anyway I'm happy with the Fury. I put it away for several months and took it out recently and the battery was still 3/4 charged. I'm just glad I'm happy with it and it is simple enough to learn how to use but I still had to check out the manual for how to clean and what are the dose caps for and I have a part I'm not sure what it is. There's so much to learn my mind shuts off, it doesn't process that much information or doesn't want to but maybe in time, Happy enough for now.

I wanted to add before that I tried full spectrum and some others like THC-free and a different isolate like CBC, can't remember off the top of my head oils/tinctures, but they would leave me feeling woozy in the AM and one got me way too high, had to leave work and take a xan to sleep it off! So I took too much full spectrum. The skin balms and oils are nice but not effective IMO especially for the cost.

When I was young I smoked pot for many years until I had an incident at a concert where I felt trapped and I think it caused a great deal of anxiety verging on panic attack so I quit. After many years I tried it a few times after that, only a little was very effective but it was too unpredictable. The next time I had a very paranoid reaction from it that was terrible and decided no more. My son has been for many years and he lives with me but I have no desire to try it again, and he has no interest in kratom but he doesn't have chronic pain like I have. He tried CBD flower but prefers his weed.
