I've been stocking up a lot over the last year and I've realized like 70 percent of my storage is one vendor. I decided to look around and try some new vendors to add into my rotation and storage. I've never heard of High Sierra but they were doing a double m discount and decided what the hell. I got 2 kilos/4 batches. The GMD was the best leaf I've had... like ever. I was blown away. Freshness, flavor, effects, everything. I was honestly shocked because I wasn't expecting or even looking for anything special. I use for chronic pain, so I dose 3-4 times a day, every single day (roughly 10-13 grams per day and trying to go a little lower), and although half the time I still get some decent effects outside of pain relief, it never works to the level of being awesome. It's 1000 percent a daytime strain with loooong legs. The GMD is one of those lighter colored, fresher tasting batches, that you can redose a bunch, and although less is still more, you won't get wobbles if that makes any sense. I made a HUGE reorder the very next day and got it all earlier today. Jeff was great with questions and communicating via email.
The Red MD, and Red Dragon, were solid. Definitely what you want if you're looking for a heavy, warm night time dose. The Green Malay was great when I mixed it with the GMD. Was a little slower. I need to mess around with smaller doses to give a full review on that. I only got it a few days ago. One huge difference I've noticed is the taste of the Reds... so different. For those who have had Bents, you know how much different the taste can be, so maybe they're fermented?? The Green Malay was a little darker too. All super fresh. Whatever it is that they're doing it's working.
A side note on my review: The last 8 months I've been strictly using Smiley (90percent) and TFH. You all know how legit both vendors are and how great their leaf is. I saw fused flora (I think) had a post about strain rotation and how it's more important to rotate vendors than the batches. So maybe I was burnt out on a certain region's alkaloid profile? That might be playing a part, but either way this is the first true 10/10 rating I can give for a specific batch, and overall I'd rank High Sierra Herbals among my favorite vendors. Anyway, wanted to spread the good word!

I decided to be adventurous and take a chance on High Sierra after reading this review. I picked up the free ounce along with buying an ounce for $9.99 so it ended up landing around $5 per oz plus $3 for shipping.
The GMD is ok. It is no where near the quality of Smiley Time's PMD, BB PMD 12, Lucky's GMD or Okie's GMD. I had to take a higher dose (5g) to get it to kick in which is more than I usually dose (4g). It was clean and smooth. A little bit of energy and some moodlift but that's about it. I give it a 6 out of 10
The WMD was a little better in my opinion but again no where near the quality of Treasure House's Modern WMD, Okie's WMD, or TFH's Wild White Kali MD. It hit nicely at first with some slight energy and moodlift but it faded in about an hour and a half. I give it a 6.5 out of 10.
Just my opinion. I do plan on taking it a few more times and I will update my review if things change but for now, I am underwhelmed.

It's so funny how it works. The GMD freakin blew me away. First time like 80 percent without pain in a while. So unexpected too. I literally ordered 8 kilos the next day for storage.
I used a little more than I do with smiley's leaf. 4 grams instead of 2.5- 3 grams. Difference for me is smiley's is usually a little heavier and becomes too sedating and unpleasant if I even take an extra gram. TFH I can't seem to put my finger on honestly. I can't seem to nail down a dose with 3/4 of them. Have some more from the recent doublem sale and going to keep trying once or twice a day.
I never order anything white, so like I said, I might be a little more sensitive to certain alkaloids/regions from sticking with the same vendor, but I've never experienced such a stark difference, which is crazy for a chronic pain user. There's so much at play. Every time I think I have Kratom understood it throws something new at me.

I got a free oz of the green Malay months ago, and I thought it was average... more relaxing which was not what I was looking for. However after reading the review of the GMD I thought I would give them a second try and boy I'm glad u did!!! It was absolute fire!!! 10/10 that review was quite accurate!
