Heyy under registered users online, it lists “Bing (bot)” and “Google (bot)”

That’s kind of creepy, no? What’s that about?

Since I don't know how to word it myself

"they are just spider bots which search engines send out to index the data on the web for listing in the search results of the search engine. When you search for something on google and it returns results, well those results can only be provides as Google has information on the sites listed in the results which is collected via bots. Even without the account the bots would spider the site/board but would show up as guests. Depending on permissions all they can do is index and cache your content for listing on search engines.they are just spider bots which search engines send out to index the data on the web for listing in the search results of the search engine. To kind of summarize what herbalhippie said, essentially the bots are there to take an image of all of the current content of the forums and send that metadata to Google so that when someone searches for "[insert vendor here] Kratom review [strain name]" DoubleM will show up in the search results with a link to a related forum post. :)

Google doesn't natively scan every web page on the internet because that would be hell on their servers, so the responsibility falls to the web page owners to send that information to Google in the form of "metadata".
