Has anyone ever experienced acute liver injury possibly caused my heavy kratom use?
In the beginning I was consuming the powder capsules but eventually switched over to the extract shots. Wondering how hard these are on the liver. The solvents used to extract the alkaloids is the main culprit I imagine.

Re: Kratom and effects on the liver
In rare cases, some people's livers are unable to process kratom. Usually the symptoms in acute injury show up extremely quickly. So if you've been taking it for an extended period of time, it's highly unlikely to be the cause of acute liver injury. Not saying it can't happen, but if your liver is unable to process it, you'd have known when you started taking it. I'm not a doctor and this is all just speculation based on what I've read. I really wish we had more studies available for things like this, because all we can really go on is personal experiences.wolfman5874 wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 9:07 pm Has anyone ever experienced acute liver injury possibly caused my heavy kratom use?

For what it's worth, I've been taking kratom for many years. My liver enzymes are always fine (I do full blood panels about every 6 months).
