NEW KRATOM REGULATION IN INDONESIA, ONLY GMP CERTIFIED CAN EXPORT?
Have you seen the new Kratom Regulation in Indonesia?
https://jdih.kemendag.go.id/peraturan/detail/3084/2
(Kratom page 458)
It says that only GMP producers and exporters who are partners with GMP certified producers are allowed to export kratom.
What do you think about this?

Here's the motivation and where $$$$ comes in. This is the endgame.
Hopefully there will be little change, it isn't like Indonesia is a bastion of cleanliness and regulation as far as it appears to me.

Looks like the AKAs attempts to monopolize and control the industry finally paid off. Get ready to see $100+ kilos in the US

Wait, what?
This confirms what I already have found out. Kratom laced blood is poisonous to blood-eating insects. The mosquitoes and ticks always leave me alone when we work in the woods. I KNEW IT!
If they DO bite you, it's their ass.
If you wanna see how this relates to what's going on, check out what Gatesie is doing with mosquitoes and what's happening in the places his GMO mosquitoes have been released It's NUTS but if my theory is correct, we are safe(r.)
(ie EEE, look that up on Google if you don't know. It's the next "Lyme Disease" but carried by mosquitoes instead of ticks. They have figured this out for real. It's terrifying but true. They say that the mosquitoes are "little needles" "vaccinating people" when they bite. This is all COMPLETELY TRUE. I have read this quote in two different spots.)
Just because we don't know the big reason for this push for YEARS to illegalize the stuff doesn't mean there isn't one.
I don't think it's just Suboxone sales anymore. It's bigger than that.
Call me crazy but let's just see...it's a wild spitball theory, I know that. Just a little tiny connection in the giant switchboard of life, if you will.

**EXPLANATION**
In the event that the exporter already has a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certificate for the processing facility/factory issued by a certification body, the Self-Declaration Statement (SPM) with a legal stamp, as listed in the requirements column, must be completed with the certificate number.
For the issuance of ETPK and ETNPK recommendations, the agency will conduct field verification.
An exporter can only hold one Registered Exporter license.
The validity period of ETPK and ETNPK lasts as long as the company in question is still conducting export business activities for Kratom.
The issuance of the Export Approval is based on:
a. Commodity Balance, if determined; or
b. Provisions and available data, if the Commodity Balance has not been determined.
The issuance of Export Approval is based on the calculation of the maximum capacity of the milling machine multiplied by the export rights percentage.
The export rights percentage is based on the calculation of the average export price of kratom, stock availability in warehouses, and the demand for kratom from the importing country.
The export rights percentage is determined every six (6) months for the periods January to June and July to December through coordination meetings or at any time based on the proposal of Ministries/Agencies.
The Coordination Meeting is an inter-ministerial/agency meeting organized by the ministry responsible for trade, held in June and December before the implementation period.
The determination of the Kratom Export Rights Percentage is based on data and information from Ministries/Agencies, provincial-level trade authorities, and/or cooperative and/or registered Kratom exporter associations, taking into account:
a. Information on Kratom supply, such as the current Kratom stock data in the warehouse;
b. Information on Kratom import demand from destination countries in the form of unfulfilled purchase order data; and
c. Information on international market prices in the form of a recap of prices in invoices and purchase orders from the past month.
An exporter can only hold one Export Approval.
Kratom Export Approval is valid for one or more submissions of Export Customs Declarations (non-transactional).
The validity of the Kratom Export Approval is a maximum of six (6) months, from January to June or July to December.
The validity period for Kratom Export Approval amendments lasts for the remaining validity period of the original Kratom Export Approval.
Other data in Export Business Licensing in the form of Export Approval can be modified as stipulated in Article 8 paragraph (4), specifically the destination country.
The Surveyor Report must meet the following technical criteria:
1. Free from the mixture of other leaves, as proven by a mitragynine content of ≥ 1.2% for green and white kratom, and ≥ 0.8% for red kratom;
2. Free from heavy metals, as proven by a lead (Pb) content of ≤ 1 mg/kg, mercury (Hg) ≤ 0.5 mg/kg, cadmium (Cd) ≤ 0.3 mg/kg, arsenic (As) ≤ 1.5 mg/kg;
3. Free from bacterial contamination, as proven by a negative result (-) for *Salmonella sp.* and ≤ 10 AM/gram for *Escherichia coli*; and
4. The water content in kratom powder should be ≤ 10%.
The Verification or Technical Tracing request by the exporter is submitted electronically to the Surveyor.
Data elements and/or additional information, other than those regulated in the main body, which are subject to research in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations, as included in the Export Surveyor Report and the Export Customs Declaration, include:
a. Destination port; and
b. Destination country.

How does this affect the quality of the kratom we purchase? I mean, you want your kratom to be free of salmonella, heavy metals, dirt. What does this mean for our vendors and us?

Good questions. I really need to keep up on this news but I’ve been slacking lately. Now that it’s been a few weeks, I’m going to see if there’s any new news.

Have any small batch vendors been able to import yet? From what I’ve seen, none of the exporters have the necessary license aside from the biggest exporters in the business. Anyone know what’s going on?

Yeah most are still importing. Maybe not the absolute smallest vendors, but most are able to. The great news is that Thailand is very quickly getting into the kratom industry so there will be opportunities there as well. For both vendors and consumers.

I think Thailand getting in the game and taking some business away from Indonesia might get them to loosen their restrictions as well, essentially foiling the AKA’s grand scheme lol. That is until the AKA starts scheming with Thailand.GreenAnimal wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 4:58 amYeah most are still importing. Maybe not the absolute smallest vendors, but most are able to. Re: NEW KRATOM REGULATION IN INDONESIA, ONLY GMP CERTIFIED CAN EXPORT?
Per my suppliers: No one has been able to (legally) export. The Ministry of Trade was holding things up on finalizing the paperwork and licenses (read below for more details). However, as of yesterday, they now have the green light to legally export.
So, expect a significant increase in U.S. inventory levels over the next 1-2 months.
As for Thailand, their supply has increased significantly, thanks to proactive tree planting by numerous farms that began several years ago in anticipation of market demand and legalization. These plantations are now reaching optimal production levels. Additionally, we're seeing new farming operations emerge in other regions, such as Uganda.
Indonesian Kratom Exporters Struggle as Government Delays Export Permits
____
Thousands of tons of Indonesian kratom remain stuck in warehouses due to the government's failure to issue export permits, leaving businesses frustrated and farmers facing financial hardship. The ongoing regulatory deadlock threatens Indonesia’s position as a key supplier in the global kratom market, impacting major buyers in the United States, Europe, and Australia.
Exporters Sound the Alarm
Indonesian kratom exporters have raised serious concerns over the prolonged bureaucratic delays preventing shipments from reaching international markets. The stalled exports have caused significant financial losses, not only for exporters but also for thousands of farmers in West Kalimantan who depend on kratom cultivation as their primary source of income.
One leading kratom exporter expressed frustration, stating, “We have been waiting for months, yet there is no clear response from the government. If this continues, we risk losing our buyers, who may turn to other countries for their kratom supply.”
Regulatory Uncertainty Hurts Farmers and Businesses
The uncertainty surrounding Indonesia’s kratom export policy has led to plummeting farm-gate prices, leaving farmers struggling to make ends meet. Many fear that without immediate government action, Indonesia’s dominance in the global kratom trade could be compromised.
Market analysts warn that if the government does not resolve the permit issue soon, international buyers may shift to alternative sources, such as Thailand or Myanmar, disrupting Indonesia’s kratom industry in the long run.
Urgent Call for Government Action
Exporters and farmer associations are urging the Indonesian government to expedite the permit approval process and establish clear regulations to ensure sustainable kratom trade. Industry stakeholders believe that transparent policies and efficient export mechanisms will strengthen Indonesia’s competitive advantage in the growing global kratom market.
With demand for kratom surging in the United States, Europe, and Australia, Indonesia must act swiftly to maintain its position as the world’s leading supplier. Delays not only hurt local farmers and businesses but also impact global kratom users who rely on Indonesian kratom for medicinal and wellness purposes.
The international kratom community is now closely watching how the Indonesian government will address this pressing issue.

I'm definitely buying some African kratom when it comes to market. As well as the stuff from the farms in Florida
Thailand was smart to prepare themselves for some of that juicy American kratom consumer market.
