Dad could've had a stroke ---> now surgery for defibrillator
Dad still recovering from his heart attack last year via meds and mild exercise.
Yesterday at a Dr appt. some tests indicated a blood clot. If it wasn't detected, it coulda led to a stroke. As it is, a few meds and monitoring is the treatment plan. No vitamin K.
It is comforting to be able to look into his eyes and see no fear, see how he took life, and with the proper spirituality, hit it outta the park.
---------------------------------------
So although everything looked ok three months ago, almost 100%, part of his heart has now only 30% at full power and they put in a defibrillator right away. So everything is going well. He's on limited mobility til this March, can't raise his left hand at the moment. Can't golf, so I know he will be going nuts. I predict he'll be dragging me to the movies.
Thanks for all your support!

Re: Dad could've had a stroke
One of the meds they gave him was an injectable he had to stick into his stomach. Only for a few days, but it was interesting to see him stab himself with a 2" needle. Partial heebies n jeebies. I get a blood test each month, but it's administered by the phlebotomist and not in my stomach. Now he's fine with a few other meds, but taking it a little easy since the heart attack.
He's also transferring being the head rector at his church. He's only a deacon, but the church was w/out a head minister, so he volunteered to do whatever head of churches do for a year. As a volunteer. Finally they got a head minister so my dad can still do important stuff like teaching people how to grow the church and set younger people on the path to leadership, but it's good he can still have a leadership role but not be in charge of everything.
