Delta-8: Recommendations for best / most affordable online vendors request

Today's cannabis is simply too strong for me, and I don't live in a state where recreational is legal so I can go to a dispensary and try an assortment of low THC / high CBD strains.

I've been reading about Delta-8 in the news, and recently stopped in a few local head shops to see if they sold it, how much they charged, etc.. The first two shops said that they normally have they were sold out, said it flies off the shelf as soon as they get it in. The 3rd shop had a small selection of different brands. They were charging $35 for 3.5 grams of flower, but never having used it before I opted for a $12 pre-roll.

I was pleasantly surprised by the "high", it was just a slight buzz comparable perhaps to drinking a few beers, but none of the corresponding anxiety and overall "social discomfort" I feel when I smoke high % THC flower. Yes, I realize I could only take a puff or two of the stronger stuff, but I like to smoke and enjoy smoking an entire joint.

I'm not familiar with the Delta 8 market (even less so Delta 9 and 10 whatever that is), if anyone has recommendations for online vendors who sell quality Delta-8 flower for less than the above please let me know. Also, are there any negatives to Delta-8 that I should be aware of? Obviously it's not healthy to inhale smoke of any kind, but is it any better or worse for you than normal cannabis?

I read a thread a while ago that this site was considering creating a separate Delta-8 forum, I guess that idea was nixed?

Our long term plans do include site expansions into other natural herbal products. One of those plans is a CBD section. I have no timeline for this, but yes, it's still under discussion. It's a very grey area legally, so some things need to be worked out.

I have used 3Chi a few times and am very impressed. I had too much paranoia and anxiety with Delta 9, so was hesitant to give D8 a shot. I have a few cartridges and some gummies and pretty much only microdose compared to some users. But it takes the edge off and is subtle, but pleasant!

My peeps have an organic family farm in Oregon and they gave me a sample of some Delta-8 infused CBD bud. I ordered some small CBG buds that were on sale and they included it at my request. Both are very good, as is the small buds Elektra CBD hemp I ordered. Their CBG has a significant, imo, amount of CBC in it as well. I saved a lot of money by ordering the machine trimmed small buds.

I'm not sure if it's exactly the same hemp as my review on the link I'll post is about, but they have a crazy sale on some older, stored away, small Elektra buds. It says 89 bucks a pound (shipping is extra), though it's now listed as Grade B. Ah, maybe because it oxidized a bit in storage. I paid more for what I reviewed (as Babel-17).

SO I'M A BIT OF A DELTA-8 EXPERT

I've been using it since basically it became legal.

Here is a list of the best places to buy bulk distillate at good prices:

Rogue river labs

Star Thistle Ranch (my favorite)

Cannaclear

Bulkdisty

3chi

They all have good labs and are highly regarded in the d8 community. Avoid sprayed flower which is prone to residual solvents and very VERY rarely tested for exactly this reason. Delta8 is THICC in its pure form and hard to shoot out of a spray gun without solvents. This is why I avoid "delta-8 flower". There is no natural delta-8 flower because it occurs in different amounts. CBG flower is different as it's basically just 'young and immature' kind of like white vein kratom or green peppers. CBG is the granddaddy of cannabinoids and eventually converts into other cannabinoids as the plants age. But delta-8 flower, I would not smoke at all personally.

A good price for delta8 distillate is about 2.50-4/gram for 70%-96% potency.

It seems like the Delta-8 business is BOOMING, so I'm bumping this thread in hopes of some of you will update w/ info regarding preferred suppliers, etc.. I've been reading that due to the fact that Delta-8 is totally unregulated there's little quality control w/ regards to solvents, pesticides, or other potentially harmful ingredients, so I'm a little concerned about that. It's also my understanding that more than a few suppliers fake (or copy) lab reports (from other reputable companies).

Several months ago I placed a small sample order for some Delta-8 flower from Kraydo, and overall was pleased with what I received. It wasn't as strong as "normal" THC weed (Delta-9??)--which for me was a good thing--and I didn't experience any of the social anxiety-issues that I get from smoking regular weed. However, I've read that there are some negatives related to smoking hemp and/or CBD flower that is sprayed with Delta-8 (negatives beyond just smoking, as smoking anything is obviously not great for your lungs), so I'm interested in trying Delta-8 in some other form.

It appears that Delta-8 distillate is what most of users are into, but I don't know if that will be a good choice for me. For one I'm guessing it will be stronger than I want, and secondly as a very occasional user, I don't want to have to buy extra paraphernalia in order to smoke it. Is there a form of Delta-8 that I could buy that I could spray or soak onto a cigar or cigarette?

I checked out the websites of all the companies that StringThing recommended and was going to order from one of them, but then I checked out Triangle Trading / Highest Elevation recommended by MycatTimmy, and their prices seemed the best, so I'm going to place a sample order and will report back.

Hope to hear back from some of you w/ new info. & recommendations.

And to the owners / mods of doublemherbals, what's the status regarding your plans to add a CBD (and/or Delta-8) section to this site???

Hey Timmy...I ended up placing an order with Delta Alternatives (retail site of Rogue River Labs) because they had a 50% OFF coupon offer, plus they have a pretty good diversity of product offerings and afaik have a good reputation. I should receive it in a few days and will report back.

My family has been using Delta-8 for some time now, and it has made a huge difference in falling and staying asleep. I've only just started using it at night time so my experience is only a week or so, but my mom and dad both have had a significant difference in quality of sleep.

I use the brand 3CHI, and mainly use gummies as method of consumption. Like others have mentioned, you may fail a drug test from using delta-8. But if you don't have to worry about drug tests, Delta-8 is another tool to use for health (though to what extent will vary and some people may not find much in way of effects. Finding right dosing spot was hardest thing to get down, not unlike kratom in that regard)

I buy from an online shop that sells a HUGE variety of delta-8 and cbd, different brands and types, like a one-stop shop for some of the best brands and products on the market. For Vaping, I also use 3chi as I found their quality to just be overall superior than other brands, and I've tried 6 or 7 brands for vaping delta-8. Another thing that made a difference is switicing my vape device to Yocan Uni Pro, which I have found reduces harshness and provides smoother hits (you can adjust the heat setting to as low as 2.0 I believe, and the lower the temp for me the less harsh vaping is)

But overall, using delta-8 gummies has been a game changer for falling and staying asleep for my parents, and in the one week I've been using gummies to sleep, I've been sleeping GREAT! I have noticed the past few days I wake up so much easier and not nearly as groggy. Here's an interesting personal experience that I have no idea if delta-8 is the cause or not: I snore, very loud, according to my family. It started when I was prescribed xanax which I have used at nighttime for years (and struggling to get off of those hellish pills lol). Since using Delta-8 gummies to sleep, my parents say I barely snore anymore. Very odd but interesting thing I thought I'd mention. Again, not saying delta-8 is the reason as I'm only 1 full week into using delta-8 for sleep, but according to my parents I sleep very quiet and with little snoring that they hear (whereas before I was a BAD and LOUD snorer haha

)

You might want to reconsider vaping, it is really unhealthy, though better than cigarettes. I personally like vaping, tried it, and would probably take a few hits a day if my parents weren't all over me for that. I appreciate their concern and it's for the betterment of my health. The vape juice is made from glycol, which is approved as safe to eat, but not for inhaling into the lungs.

They had a crazy deal where you could stack a 50% and a 25% coupon. Not sure if intentional. A few users got a liter for like ~350 or something like that. Incredible deal.

Another user mentioned Highest Elevation/Triangle Trading Co. I've tried them since making that last post and their diamonds in sauce are really good! Fantastic mix of cannabinoids which includes CBN, CBD, and CBG in the diamonds. I got an oz and I think I'm going to get another when this runs out. I prefer this to the Delta Alternatives/Rogue River Labs I was using before. I think its a little smoother to vape and has more well rounded effects. It is like double the price per oz, but still very cheap for a whole oz of it.

Reefers Bay is also really good. Owned by 3chi. Cheapest 100g jar around, only 150.

ZPE has the best price on CBD isolate I've found anywhere on the internet. 1/g at regular price. 0.80/g if you can catch the 100g jar on sale.

Hemp companies are making ridiculous money right now selling like 5000mg edible tinctures for $50. You can make the same with MCT oil in a tincture bottle for like $15-20.

I've been using their CBD to give to my elderly dog and it's been great.

Bumping this thread 'cause no one has posted anything in over 6 months, which is like infinity in the Delta 8/9/10 world...so many new suppliers, strains, chemical formulations...to be honest I can't even keep up w/ all the new stuff on the market. All I know is that here in FL (where we have medical but not recreational), CBD/Delta-8 stores are popping up all over the place. Anyway, if anyone has any new supplier recommendations I'd love to read about them!

I'll give a bump for Cannaclear. I've ordered from them several times. Top quality, reasonably priced and pretty quick shipping considering where its coming from.
The distillate is good but harder to use.

The chocolate bars and gummies are awesome and easy to dose. The consistency is good.

The forbidden fruit is off the charts. A little goes a looong way.

But this was TEST marketed.

. People are SO fuckin' stupid these days - they'll fall for ANY product "new" in a snazzy colorful bag. Or a fancy website with Cute Animals.

- It's just PROVEN that, people have NO clue as to Value of anything... Oh, $40 for 1 ounce of Kratom ? OK then. "Looks really Cute" lol...

I had to check because my last order was shipped in March of this year. But I just went to CannaClear and picked up some more candy bars. I believe the 20% off sale is still valid. Code 7/10 at checkout.

As long as you live a state where it is still legal, its still available.

Prices have gone up since March/2022 but the selection has vastly improved. They have always lab tested their batches but now they post the lab results for all their products when you make a selection.

I'm not sure I would trust storefront shops either.

My job was recently sent to Mexico so I stopped using Delta products in November of last year because I'm pretty sure my next job will require a drug test.

Up to that point though I can say its plenty potent. You have to be careful with it. Also, I would not vape any products advertised for vaping. That's just me, I've been an enthusiast vaper for 10 years and I make my own.

Also, because I'm new to this forum I will state that I'm not a shill and have no skin in the game or any vested interest. Just a happy customer.

Friggity-frack, I just learned that my state, NY, made Delta-8 illegal.

I could post snark about what is legal, or defacto legal because the police have been directed to let it slide, but I'll let it go.

This being New York, which gave the world Tammany Hall, I'll just assume our legislature is waiting for more scratching of their back before allowing vendors to sell it, and we residents to use it.

I took the first gummy at 7pm, thinking they'd take a few hours to hit, which is usually the case for me. An hour later I was asleep on the couch. The second time I took a gummy I did it at 9pm and I barely made it to 10. But then I had something from a different sample pack yesterday and as far as I can tell, it did nothing at all.

Who knows why.

I put in an order for some Delta 8 gummies and the shipping was, indeed, $4.99. I hope that they satisfy because weed gummies are putting me further into the poorhouse, lol. Although 3chi seems to have raised their prices too. I think they're sending a free bag of gummies, so that's appreciated.
