7oh potentially elevated heart chemical levels and got docs worrying about a heart attack
long story short - 2 hospital stays - the first for walking pneumonia, the second cause my breath got short then turned into heart worries...7oh potentially raised heart-related chemical levels and had the Drs test and monitor me. After a few days, CAT, ekg, blood, pee, all went back dramatically normal. Heard similar stories online.
Also, as I reported before, some blood and urine showed use of PCP, some did not, (they believed I did not use it and I did not).

Glad you’re okay. Was this from one use or multiple? I fear 7oh is going to give kratom a bad name. Yes I’m aware after reading up on it on another post that they’re technically NOT the same but it’s still derived from the same leaf.

And WHERE was this bought from?
I'm going to guess that the problem with 7oh, like it was with kratom, is you can get it from a WIDE variety of places some of which are undoubtably sketchy and/or not very well regulated.
Doesn't bother me - the stuff I have is just fine and I will continue to use (well, after my surgery. I'm on a two week break that will be a month by the time of my surgery).

Oh wow, that must've been really scary for you! I've used 7oh sporadically for migraines but really low doses. Now I'm worried. Do you know what in 7oh raised the chemical levels? Can you tell us the vendor you used? Hope you're feeling better!IndelibleDotInk wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 1:28 am long story short - 2 hospital stays - the first for walking pneumonia, the second cause my breath got short then turned into heart worries...7oh potentially raised heart-related chemical levels and had the Drs test and monitor me. I know I had a really weird chest pain that occurred shortly after taking 7-oh, only happened once though. Heart palpitations definitely seem to be really common though https://www.reddit.com/r/7_hydroxymitra ... ens_batch/

What did it feel like? Yeah there’s a ton of alkaloids that are getting potentiated 30x and we barely know how they effect our body’s at their Normal, natural strength, pretty sketchy. Did you have this pain while withdrawing or like literally shortly after taking a dose?anonk wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 12:06 pm I know I had a really weird chest pain that occurred shortly after taking 7-oh, only happened once though. It was directly after 30 - 45 mins of taking it, like a tightness/pain on the left side.oftheshire wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 12:20 pmWhat did it feel like? I really hate 7oh even though I've previously posted that it was fine if used sparely. Especially if you are using the stuff from Omega. Even their lowest dose messes me up and not in a good way. After using plain leaf kratom for over a decade and never having a problem with tolerance, I now do. Kratom isn't working any more because of using the 7oh crap from Omega. I had used the ones from 7ohmz.com and never had a problem but they are a much lower does. I also hate the way the ones from Omega makes me feel. I will also add, I started using Kratom for depression not for opioid dependence. I have hardly ever used them in my life. If you haven't tried it, I would advise you fine people to stay from away from this. I'm having to start all over and take a break. I will never use 7oh again!

I only took a quarter of a tab at night for sleep. I would wake up sweating like crazy. My hair would be soaking wet and it was awful. I would feel terrible the next day. I did it a few more times thinking I just would quit doing it but I just don’t react well at all to the ones from Omega. The few days of using it also blew my tolerance for kratom which to me is the worst side effect. I threw the rest of the Omega tabs away.oftheshire wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 3:18 pmHow’d it mess you up? yeah it's called ... FUD. Fear Uncertainty Doubt ... You are "Spreading FUD"... great. Thanks - Do you know ? Or Remember ? Spreading FUD was a BIG Issue on Kratom forums like 5= 7 YEARS ago... Re: 7oh potentially elevated heart chemical levels and got docs worrying about a heart attack
Once again... "Reddit to the Rescue" when it comes to INFO - the 7OH sub has 1 dude, One... who claims its given tachycardia, etc.... However Reddit Search the WEED sub r/trees... you find MANY many reports of Heart Attack etc. from using WEED.
I also see an opinion that 7OH somehow "potentiates" Weed ?? Hmmm... well I had to Quit smoking Weed - due to proven Elevated Heart Rate. It's FROM an actual N.I.H. Study - associating smoking Pot, with Heart problems. = https://old.reddit.com/r/trees/comments ... ased_risk/
Just Sayin'... there are RISKS to anything. You take a RISK going down the street... Kratom ??
Has a PROVEN RISK of things like... Salmonella, and... H. Pylori (Kratom users frequently complain about "Stomach Ache" or Ulcers ? Google H. Pylori. ) and ALSO... Metals. Heavy Metals like Lead or Arsenic... and All of those Risks - are totally eliminated in the Extract process. Yes. Extracts like 7OH, Do Not have bacteria or metals because the "DIRT" in Kratom has been removed.
So, Pro's and Con's I guess.... Maybe we should just Do NOTHING - sing "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-dah, Life goes on, brah!!" and chant "Nam Yoho Renge Kyo!" and... Be Happy

Or - like I always say - nobody gets out of here alive.
Hell, even water is unsafe. You pays your money, you takes your chances. I am SO glad I discovered 7oh, particularly the Omega brand. And I will keep ordering (even though I have enough to last my lifetime) until it's banned here. But one thing I NEVER do is spread FUD. Because, honestly, if I wanted to I could convince most of you to never do a whole lot of things (which I survived :>).

Oh, and I'd like to address another completely faulty narrative - that 7oh somehow makes kratom not work anymore.
I call totaly bullshit on that - and I speak from LONG experience. Again, I was taking 7oh daily for months. Stopped for a week and kratom is hitting just fine. In fact, IT'S HITTING HARDER (mostly because, I assume, I stopped using kratom for a month or two). I took some this morning and it was like kratom was brand new to me all over again (and it was fairly mediocre stuff I rated a 3 out of 5 previous).
ALL we can do here is relate our personal stories, but when we start saying something IS then we had damn well better back it up with studies and scientific evidence - which you will find NONE when it comes to kratom. Because there's no money in doing the hard research needed (UoF here in my home state is probably the only one doing ANYTHING).
So - no absolutes.

So far you're the only one that I ever known that has that experience, 7-oh absolutely blows my tolerance away just like extracts do. The amounts of threads in r/kratom of people saying I tried 7-oh and kratom isn't working for me anymore is a lot.Kelleytoons wrote: ↑Sun Apr 06, 2025 12:53 pm Oh, and I'd like to address another completely faulty narrative - that 7oh somehow makes kratom not work anymore.

LONG experience? I've been using Kratom many more years than you so I'm not sure what you mean. I was only telling MY experience and in the over a decade of using kratom daily but never having a tolerance problem before, 7oh messed up my tolerance for kratom. Now after a couple of days of not using the 7oh and throwing away the ones I got from Omega, my kratom is working great again. If you want to use it, go for it. I just know it's not for me. I'd like to add that maybe it could be that you were a user of opioids before you found kratom, as I remember your post when you first came here, I didn't so maybe that why the 7oh is something I don't care for and will never use again.Kelleytoons wrote: ↑Sun Apr 06, 2025 12:53 pm Oh, and I'd like to address another completely faulty narrative - that 7oh somehow makes kratom not work anymore.

anouk, I totally agree with you! As I've said, as someone who has used kratom daily for over a decade and many times since the late 1990's, I've never had a tolerance problem until I used 7oh. Besides the night sweats I experienced, I also had terrible dizziness the next day. So badly, that I fell. While some may love them, like Kelleytoons for example, they are just not for me and I feel it's important to tell EVERYONE'S experience, not just the experience of people that are singing 7oh's praises.anonk wrote: ↑Sun Apr 06, 2025 1:51 pmSo far you're the only one that I ever known that has that experience, 7-oh absolutely blows my tolerance away just like extracts do. BallzDeep, I'm sorry you think I'm spreading anything. I've always been such a fan of yours since I came to this forum. I was just telling my experience. I'm not saying kratom causes heart attacks but why would you try to make people like me or IndelibleDotInk feel badly for sharing their experience with 7oh along with anyone else who hasn't had a good experience with 7oh? Kratom has saved my life after years of debilitating depression and after losing my brother to suicide, along with my Dad. Please don't think for a minute I'm trying to scare people away from the leaf that has saved my life because I'm NOT! Surely you can see, it's nothing scientific - you have no studies or proof of anything - So just Negative FUD - which is now, very common on all Kratom groups... All social media... ANTI- Kratom, whining & complaining, ON and on and on... I just respond with a gentle "Reminder" here to, this Bandwagon of Negativity - that (1)- 7OH is a Kratom product. 7OH is made FROM kratom... and (2) there IS a very much Anti- Kratom TREND of these FUD posts/ opinions/ comments... happening all over "The Internet" - Facebook/ Reddit/ Tik-Tok everywhere...terposton wrote: ↑Sun Apr 06, 2025 5:04 pm BallzDeep, I'm sorry you think I'm spreading anything. How about that Old Saying - "If you can’t say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all." ... DO you think that's, OK here ? Should a Kratom Forum, Welcome the ANTI- Kratom Haters ?? OR.... should We do, like Reddit r/Kratom FORUM did, many years ago - say, Negative FUD is not appreciated, and NOT allowed ? ... OR is that "Censorship" and so the ANTI-s should be allowed to Brigade here ? What is "Brigading" ?? -- is when a group of users, generally outsiders to the targeted sub or community, "invade" a specific subreddit or larger community and flood it with downvotes in order to damage or destroy the targeted sub.

Re: 7oh potentially elevated heart chemical levels and got docs worrying about a heart attack
Okay, for full disclosure - I was on opioids (a LOT) prior to kratom and while that's been quite a few years now (um, it was before the plandemic so I'm guessing I've been using kratom at least five or six years regularly) I got off of them.
And, as Mr. B says, these are kratom extracts - so defaming them just brings MORE problems to our favorite leaf. I'm not saying everyone should use 7oh (although I think it would be smart to at least have it in your arsenal) but I also don't think spreading horror stories that have NO basis in fact, only personal experience, helps anyone. And, yes, they are using 7oh to ban kratom here in Florida (but not just 7oh - ANY extracts are being used to that end).
But - do what you want. I just know that, FOR ME, stopping 7oh for a week brought my appreciate for raw kratom up to a whole other level. But (and this is a big BUTT :>) I do not have an addictive personality. I can (and have) just stopped cold turkey on a whole lot of things (alcohol, opioids, kratom, 7oh, coffee, bread, etc. etc. I just often go and say "I'm not going to do that anymore" and even if I've done it for DECADES I can just not, for as long as I want). I understand this is unique and that *most* people have a tough time not doing something that they do regularly for even a few weeks.
So adjust yourself accordingly. If you have troubles getting addicted to things then by all means stay away from 7oh (and, I'd even argue, kratom). No one needs to live with addiction.

Bad name? oh for sure it already has and the result is: like adding another layer of activated scrutiny, which inspires current ban attempts in major states. This is while other adversaries are once again in a position to do something for the pharma people and against the will of stake holders (in kratom). That's not saying they have but given history under existing leadership at least at this time, it's once again high risk.GreenAnimal wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 8:19 am Glad you’re okay. Was this from one use or multiple? I fear 7oh is going to give kratom a bad name. Yes I’m aware after reading up on it on another post that they’re technically NOT the same but it’s still derived from the same leaf.
I consider Scott Gotleib, the FDA commissioner appointed 8 years ago- the one that started the propaganda campaign against kratom in support of pharma industry profits once kratom was out of their way. The FDA under him built a closed loop of authoritative dialogue around kratom. All references were actually from the exact same source that distributed the same message all over. Feds at the time authored all of it. Gottleib = major conflicts of interest. Came directly from a pharma Co board of directors which is a blatant dis-qualifier / conflict of interest which sure was consequential. And you can't put the wrecking ball back into the box once you set it loose. His appointer- behaves the same way now, disregarding most every important expectation and legal requirement.
To be able At This Time to participate in supporting continued legal access ANYWHERE, possibly prevent criminalization because it was not banned earlier is really an unlikely oppty to keep it available so I hope those that say "All will be ok" will be sure to add a bit of their personal power to that by taking oppty to put a word in in support of keeping it.

Re: 7oh potentially elevated heart chemical levels and got docs worrying about a heart attack
Thanks BD9, I am back and feeling great except for parents bitching at me for drinking more than a cup of coffee, and getting set with my new dog, Sihaya. She won't walk far because she is scared of other dogs and can get aggressive, and she is (my guess) embarasssed about pooping and peeing anywhere except our home, and only once a day. And she has some type of allergies. But it is too late, I am in love with her, she is a lot like Mei, my firsst dog, just with more puppy-like problemss, even though she is a year or two old. And she stinks more than Mei, who, once on the right foods, actually smelled good. I'm sure Sihaya's stinkiness is allergy-related, though, so for all these negatives, I am positive.BallzDeep9 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 06, 2025 8:33 pmHope your feelin' back to normal Dot Ink!IndelibleDotInk wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 1:28 am long story short - 2 hospital stays - the first for walking pneumonia, the second cause my breath got short then turned into heart worries...7oh potentially raised heart-related chemical levels and had the Drs test and monitor me. Sihaya shows in interest in my kratom, but I haven't let her have any yet, if at all.

Very scary. I’ve never messed with 7oh but it looks like it’s on the chopping block in a few places. Glad you’re okay, man.

Warning: All stream of consciousness thoughts expressed in this post are just my personal opinion. I am sure all of you that read this are intelligent enough to know that, but just putting it out there. Enjoy the verbose stream of thought!
This thread was a pretty entertaining read. Kratom enjoyers like most "enthusiasts" can respond strongly to remarks that seem to defame whatever they are enthusiastic about. Mix that with tone being lost in text makes this read for me personally kind of like a short spanish telenovella.
I do think the "FUD" label should be used in sparing way. One persons FUD could be anothers Fact. One of the biggest reason Message boards like this even though much slower than they used to be are still alive is to get "reviews" or someones experience with certain vendors or strains.
Personally I think true "FUD" has to come with an intention behind it. Not just someone commenting or discussing an experience. Without other peoples experiences how would we know what vendors may be better than others before investing hard earned money with them. All responses can't be positive otherwise it would eliminate the need for reviews all together if everything is great or the negative are hidden. Now if someone is saying scary bad thing with the intent to scare off others from something they truly have no experience with that I would agree would be FUD. Or if say Omega 7oh made me have health problems try 7ohblack instead, or kratom in general is the devil we should all be completely sober all the time because I think a thing. Those I would actually consider "FUD".
"I only took a quarter of a tab at night for sleep. I threw the rest of the Omega tabs away."
from a user that has been on the board since 2018 with over 206 posts I don't know that I would jump to "FUD" spreading right away. Definitely possible it could be "FUD" if the history of posts show something similar, or if the member is actually a vendor trying to sway people towards one company over another.
There is also the possibility its someone with a real experience, that has enjoyed kratom for a long time. That may have some underlying fear of the explosion of 7oh on the market and infection of all kratom communities. Because it could work out to give kratom leaf a very bad name publicly and have an affect on our ability to get regular kratom.
I also had a similar experience with Omega products. For me though I chalk it up as, was going a little too hard for too extended of a time and it felt like WDs. If someone started kratom as a non opiate addicted person I can see where that sensation would make you freak out. As a former homeless, devil banging, rig stashing lunatic its just a familiar old friend. Need a dose and back to bed I go.
I know one of the main reasons I found Doublem and stuck around was for information. Like Ballz vendor list, or Gumby dark side of kratom production posts. One could look at some of that information and think FUD because "ahhhh they walking on the stuff you drink before you get it in your bag gross, you gonna get a disease." When in reality its just open and honest information about some of the things that happen in the kratom industry.
I am glad to hear Indelible you are doing better. That can be scary. Glad to hear Anonk is doing alright chest pain and palpitations definitely can make you think hard about things. Glad to hear Terpo is doing good and everyone else.
I really appreciate this community even if I pop in once every 6 months to comment on a thing. Everyone here brings value to the community. Kelley disappears and the board goes out of its way to try and make sure everything is alright and track him down. Disagree about something or agree about something all points of view when coming from sincere places are appreciated.
I just got love for all of you strangers I have never met and haven't had much conversations with. We all have something in common the fact that we are "ENTHUSIASTS" about kratom, and that we all have some struggle that this beautiful plant helps with. Whichever form one chooses to take it in.
In regards to 7oh not affecting tolerance that one is new to me. Everyone's body is different so who is to say anything about ones own tolerance except for the person taking the kratom. In general typically using something regularly tends to create a tolerance using that thing 100x stronger regularly one would think that will increase tolerance also or more so.
There is definitely differences between 7oh and regular kratom. When I go from 7oh for a while back to leaf I def can feel an affect probably because of the other alkaloids im getting from the regular leaf, but still have some left over anxiety, achy, yucky feeling because I haven't hit the necessary threshold of my given tolerance at the time for the 7oh.
This seems to have gone on an awful long time. Can tell I just took my after work dose. Rambles McGee! I saw this thread while I was working and felt like chiming in for no good reason really. I have been meaning to post my thoughts about 7oh on here because I do worry about people that are similar to myself. So maybe Ill do that next.
Ok ByeEeEe! Love you all!

Sadly I don't think we'll ever come to a consensus, if their was one thing I wish we could all agree on it's that 7-oh binds to one thing and one thing only: the opioid receptor (not that theres anything wrong with that), with affinity as strong as prescription opioids. I've been using kratom for 13 years now and even back then it was well understood that 7-oh was an opioid, everyone wished they could get their hands on some but it was never commercially available. I'm always shocked by how pinpoint my pupil's get on it along with the itching and nodding.

I’ve decided I’m not touching 7oh with a 10 foot pole. After I started really looking into it, I didn’t like what I was seeing. I’ll stick to regular safe kratom powder. I’ve been taking it for many years and my yearly blood work is always perfect.

I, for one, greatly appreciate you sharing your personal experience. Some people around here like to act like experts and bully others. I find it particularly disturbing when it's someone who is constantly pushing extracts and telling everyone that all plain leaf kratom is exactly the same. As if most of us haven't already had the experience of great differences between strains, vendors and assorted batches. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't share your personal experience with something that not only ruined your tolerance, but is potentially a health risk. People can sus out the facts for themselves without one person telling them what they are allowed to hear. Again, I thank you for speaking up and appreciate your input!terposton wrote: ↑Sun Apr 06, 2025 4:56 pmanouk, I totally agree with you! Besides the night sweats I experienced, I also had terrible dizziness the next day. So badly, that I fell.

I guess my Concern, would be... from observing "Current News" about Kratom,
The Bloomberg Video "The Growing Toll of America’s $1 Billion Kratom Industry" calling it "the controversial herbal extract" and described Kratom products as "addictive" and "dangerous"... This short video is well done, slick, with scenes from Indonesia and short interview clips. It's worth watching! and out there on YouTube or Bloomberg's website. To read articles, use Javascript toggle to bypass Paywall, & depending on your platform (PC, Apple, Phone, etc) it's very much out there & available & millions of people Read and consume this... FUD.
So, Media reports about Kratom suggest it's controversial, addictive, and dangerous... Is this ONLY "MSM" Mainstream media ? No, these negatives are ALL over the place. Facebook groups. YouTube channels. Podcasts... everywhere. So I guess we can't be surprised that, Members here are picking up on this general FUD - and adding to, or promoting, the negatives. And it ALL is framed by the general, overall, Fear and Uncertainty and Doubt about our Economy!! EXAMPLE - graphic

Just a quick Reply, I guess you and me both posted like the same exact MINUTE ?? I worked on my Post above, for maybe 20+ min & then after a Preview noticed you'd also posted. OK so.... here's my Reply, I've been hanging here for the past 6+ years and probably spent way too much time & over 3500 Posts, (We all hoped that Double MM would grow and prosper!) and... Thanks so much Saints. I appreciate you. Thankfully, after throwing away that junk and going back to my regular powder for a few days, I'm feeling great again. Glad you're ok.. but it was from being sick, I'll health, tainted or shitty quality product at best. Imo.
Heck many use it without issue, even abused in huge amounts (highly DON'T recommend doing that tho) .
Heck I use it 3-4x a day for half yr. Healthier than ever.
Don't buy into the fearmongering being spread and worry self (or parrot the fearmongering) .
Do be careful on what you buy/use, your general health overall, diet, good hydration, and highly rec a daily magnesium supplement and multi.
Dose cap dose control important too imo
Cheers

To add to this re 7oh is Kratom product, couple posts I share regularly pasted below:

7oh is Kratom!
it's a simple one step conversion from Kratom extract. of which our bodies do as it is in regards to MIT and where most of the benefits come from as is... aging, UV/sun etc converts it aswell..
Proper labeling and testing should be the focus, NOT fear mongering!
And there's no deaths and it's literally safer than caffeine! a fist full of caffeine pills could kill someone (and has) obviously i don't recommend anyone abuse or mega dose either of them ofcourse.
7oh could be the saviour to the opioid deaths, along with Kratom leaf.
Focus should be:
Proper labeling and testing.
Personal accountability, dose cap dose control.
I've been using Kratom leaf (and extracts in the later decade) since 07, almost 20 years now, and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-oh, 7-ohmg etc) for over half a year.
At first I was like many , a leaf/Kratom purist.. but eventually I kept an open mind and did all the research I could (much more new research and alkaloids to be understood and/or discovered to cone I'm sure).
I then went ahead and got 1g of a 90% 7-oh powder, and over the month played around with its dosing (btw I recommend starting low, as in 5-7mg).
7oh has been a godsend to me for over half yr now.
For best effects; I recommend and use it with a little bit of leaf powder (1-2g) and/or full spec MIT extract powder.
I'm happy I kept an open mind and didn't stay on the 7oh hating fearmongering train, fueled mainly by fear of leaf being banned instead of facts or understanding.
dose cap dose control and PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY is key as with most things.****
thank you

Re: 7oh potentially elevated heart chemical levels and got docs worrying about a heart attack
Good for you - excellent analysis.
Honestly, I cannot live without 7oh - I may not take much now that most of my pain has been addressed, but having it around knowing it can handle any pain I come up with in my latter years in life is a lifesaver.
I suspect it WILL be banned here in Florida (which is why I have stocked up - clearly I won't live 20 years more but I have enough to last me until then :>).

Those I would actually consider "FUD".Thanks for posting your thoughts, stream of consciousness rambles are Welcome!, and needed -VS- those maybe too shy about sharing an opinion... or Lurkers who Read but rarely or never Post... Yes we're supposedly "enthusiasts" here! right ?? We are "positive" about Kratom. I mean that's a generally accepted, Mission Statement or whatever... Now of course, ANY open Forum online there are different opinions, disagreements, arguments even... Goes with the territory! Please let's discuss!
I guess my Concern, would be... from observing "Current News" about Kratom,"Whats Happening" out there & of course this Forum is gonna reflect that. With anything, we're gonna have some controversy. Is Kratom "controversial" ?? Maybe the recent articles & video on Bloomberg, is a good example... "How Kratom Became Such a Polarizing $1 Billion Industry" - https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... n-industry
FUD.![]()

Gotta love msm! Lol find all the fud ya can and print the hell out of it and make sure TRUMP gets blamed bwaahahaaaaa!

Long time no speak, friendo! I'm super late on this but omg, I'm glad to hear you're alright! I had no idea about any of this 7oh stuff until I started checking into Double M again this past week. And ouch, walking pneumonia on top of all that. Hope you're still doing well.IndelibleDotInk wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 1:28 am long story short - 2 hospital stays - the first for walking pneumonia, the second cause my breath got short then turned into heart worries...7oh potentially raised heart-related chemical levels and had the Drs test and monitor me. After a few days, CAT, ekg, blood, pee, all went back dramatically normal. Heard similar stories online.
Also, as I reported before, some blood and urine showed use of PCP, some did not, (they believed I did not use it and I did not).
