When we adopted Mei in 2008, the lady in charge of the rescue brought her over to our place so we could meet each other and they could check out our living circumstances and see if we could support a dog. I had seen her profile online and had to get to know the dog with a floppy ear. She was friendly but a lil shy and reserved, so cute.

Oh sounds like the places around me. I guess it is smart and does work out best for the dog to ensure they are in the best environment. The past 2 dogs I got me and my brother rescued from shelters- we just went to the shelter and picked out the dog we liked.IndelibleDotInk wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 1:25 am When we adopted Mei in 2008, the lady in charge of the rescue brought her over to our place so we could meet each other and they could check out our living circumstances and see if we could support a dog. When I got Roxy she was pregnant at the rescue shelter. And they were going to put her down because they couldn't handle the added puppies. So sad! So they told me that if I didn't adopt Roxy she was going to be euthanized the very following day as she was due to give birth any moment! So that was the final deciding factor and I adopted Roxy, they removed the babies in surgery that day, and literally hours after her surgery the day before I went and brought her home. The shelter just stitched her stomach up where she had surgery, and sent her home with me without any directions or what to do. Roxy was in a lot of pain that first few days, and it is really bad that they sent her home the day after surgery and without educating me as to what to expect. But anyways, the first day Roxy lied on the floor and by the second day she followed me into my room, followed me into the bed, and she went to sleep next to me, and from that moment on she was always by my side
I can't wait to get a new doggy
