Been dipping fresh pork rinds into this stuff (I thought pork rinds were horrid until I had some freshly made, what a snack!). Cannot recommend enough.
They make a white cheddar powder too.

Fresh pork rinds are amazing. Did you have the kind with meat still attached? That's how they sell them in Mexico and it's fantastic. None of the Mexican places here do it like that though.

A while back ( couple years ago) I started looking in grocery store for it because every so often crave Kraft mac n cheese and there's never enough cheese powder. I couldn't find it in store but did buy a big tub on Amazon and still have it. I couldn't find all natural though. Occasionally I use it but also when making the mac just use less pasta and milk to get the cheesiest umamiest cheese taste! I bought like a 12-box carton of Kraft during the initial lockdowns lol. I make popcorn a lot but usually just spray with avocado oil and salt, going to try some cheese powder next time. Another cool flavoring/seasoning I wanted was something to give food that grilled outside on charcoal flavor. I found a couple products on Amazon recently with high hopes but unfortunately not as close to charcoal flavor as reviews claimed, main ingredient being activated charcoal which I already have in capsule form somewhere around here purchased in case my pets ingest anything poisonous. Concerned it could knock out the effects of my kratom but probably not at such a low amount as seasoning a burger or steak. I got two kinds to compare, one all natural and healthy and one with MSG and crap and the natural one is actually better but both have great reviews. I hate how some products have mostly either 5 stars and 1 star reviews combined. Anyway, you might like that too. Will have to research where to get fresh pork rinds, never heard of them. I recently started enjoying beef jerky too.IndelibleDotInk wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 9:42 am One pound of CHEDDAR CHEESE POWDER. There's a place here that makes papusas with them. So good!

Check out liquid smoke. It gives meat that smokey flavor but be sure to only use a little bit because it's very strong.Lokey wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 7:20 amA while back ( couple years ago) I started looking in grocery store for it because every so often crave Kraft mac n cheese and there's never enough cheese powder. The charcoal seasoning was disappointing, it doesn't taste like charcoal grilled flavor at all to me! They were returnable but not bothering to try since I sampled them. Not a big fan of smoked flavored things, like I prefer regular provolone over smoked flavor. But maybe a little in a burger I would like.Check out liquid smoke. I found my tub of powdered cheese, it was hard as a rock and a few years old, had to toss it. It was a brand no longer on Amazon and they have better all natural options now.

Your title “better than crack” peaked my interest! Anything cheesy is a win for sure! Going to check this stuff out.IndelibleDotInk wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 9:42 am One pound of CHEDDAR CHEESE POWDER. Yup, dress all your favorite snacks up and cheeto ize them, for pasta, veggies, soups.

p.s. my dad is obsessed with those round cheese balls that are high in fat and he has high cholesterol. I’m thinking this would be a delicious alternative. I’m wondering… think it taste good with crackers?

:EDIT: the Hardcore Carnivore seasoning made a darn good black peppercorn bleu cheese mushroom turkey burger on the stovetop. I wouldn't try that with powdered cheese!

replace the turkey burger with seared raw beef and then you'd have a dish worth using 'hardcore carnivore' in its seasoning!

I know a real burger sounds much better than a turkey burger but it was amazing how good it tasted! But it was also the cracked peppercorns, bleu cheese and fresh mushrooms cooked in the meat drippings.IndelibleDotInk wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 2:01 pmreplace the turkey burger with seared raw beef and then you'd have a dish worth using 'hardcore carnivore' in its seasoning!

Local grocery store had a BOGO on these jalapeno cheddar chicharrones so had to try them. Very good but could use a little extra cheese flavor lol Unfortunately haven't tried fresh ones yet but will be searching them out.
