Soultanic review

Post by Ravenflow »

So I was able to get my hands on soultanics recent drop.
I gotta say most of it was fire first onei tried Was the super white.
Amazing legs on this burn had almost like a nootropic effect I was very focused for 4 hours got alot done at work very social as well would definitely take a gram less than my normal dose which is 6g
I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

The next one was the Thai MD this one was OK it's more of a relaxing strain for the evening just chilling and watching TV definitely not a morning burn I almost felt like it was a red I give it a 3.5 out of 5. Only because I'm a white and green dude I like stimulating strains

The next one is the one I took this morning was dark white. Now this one rocks it was the best of the bunch very euphoric burn I would say more of a midspec burn with not being to relaxing still got a stimulating effects while the pain killing effect is amazing without making me sleepy which was amazing!!! 5 out of 5 best burn in awhile.

Nice! Thanks for the review! I acquired some Super White as well, going to try it either tonight or tomorrow. Really wanted some of that Super Green but it sold out too fast. That annoyes the piss out of me with Soul drops lol. I also grabbed some of the Red Kali which I'll likely try late tonight. \m/

Ahhh I've been wanting to try Soul's stuff for a long time, but I keep missing the dang drops, lol. I end up finding out about them the next day when I check my email; I think they tend to go live while I'm already asleep or something. But my curiosity is piqued. I'm not usually susceptible to FOMO but I love a good white and this review makes it sound like something right up my alley.

Whatever it is I wrote about Soultanic . I've picked up some samples here and there and they are pretty good . But you've got to really pay attention to get in on those drops - I miss the window every time . I deleted that comment because when I re read it, it sounded like poor sportsmanship or something . They have a dedicated fan base that is keen on hitting the drops , so my opinion doesn't matter much either way .

Right on. Thx for describing experience. Helpful.

A pretty big dose. That TMD sounds like the one I have but mine is a vintage that people still look for, offering a lot bc they want that exact batch. Too late when I find out. It's not my thing either but on occasion I've caught what the buzz is about. But many of my blends are way better than anything I can buy. A tip- but trial and error at first. but once it's good, it's another addictive behaviour. I can't just not blend unless I'm testing stuff.

Just meant to say It might be less sedating using a lower amount but better... adding a low / unequal amount to a base "strain". That can do different things. Some come through a lot differently & contrast others you put them with.

Ironic thing is Mike doesnt promote his leaf in anyway, just announces a restock, not many follow on mewe these days and there are so many vendors around. There has been good leaf available for days on the site.

I actually did pay attention this time, unlike every other time, but when I added 500g worth to my cart the shipping was over $150. I was signed in, my address is entered correctly, anybody know what I was doing wrong? Is shipping just that much? I highly doubt anybody would pay that though. I removed the 500g split and added individual bags and tried a few other things all with the same outcome. So needless to say, I emptied my cart and signed out, not that important to me to try it at that cost. However, if anybody knows what was going on and how I could have changed it, please let me know.

Theres was a temporary crazy number on the checkput page. But in the end it goes back to the normal, which is actually less then USPS holiday rates. Thanks for the description I let them know and it should be fixed now. it was some new "feature" that crept in with the ecommerce software and was misconfigured. Now it will only show the usual weight based shipping. I can see as a new customer how confusing that could be.

I believe there is still plenty of great leaf left. The shipping did that to me the first time and I also panicked with confusion. Like stated, it converts to a true shipping cost in the end. Scary to attempt when you're new. Hopefully you can grab some this time, I got 500g and am looking forward to trying it all.

I know this issue doesn't matter much. But today I got my first order from Soultanic and was a little disappointed that the Kratom was just tossed into ziplock bags with marker writing. 😑 No nice bags, no labels etc. I got Green Tupei, Menjalin and red Thai.

Who cares what type of bag it comes in? All I care about when buying kratom is the quality of the leaf! :)

Well, I do. If a vendor can't afford better than grocery store supplies for packaging their product on top of the fact that they haven't invested in a website, I'm not going to order from them. It doesn't seem like they're serious business people if I could handle that part better (I'm no stranger to website creation or packaging product from large batches).

damn straight! idk about you guys but those Plymor (ziplock bags) hold up a lot longer than most other ones with the zip ripping off the bag after they get opened a dozen times!

That's true. I was naming reasons I stay away from certain vendors without naming those vendors. I can see now that wasn't clear.

I still stand by my open that ziplock bags with handwritten notes is low rent.

I end up putting it in a ziplock bag cause the zipper on those fancy bags always rips off. If the bag concerns you feel free to leave all the soul for us!

What some people are missing is Soul and some of the best leaf I have isn't from large company's that imports leaf by the ton that has been sitting in a warehouse for 1, 2 ? however many years - oh yeah and it's the same leaf 20 other companies are peddling as "x" strain from "y" location of indo or thailand, when those are BS (Not any vendor on the forum or well known by many of us, the ones like Golden Monk and others that deal in volume).

You want that go - pay 300$ a kilo from one of the AKA approved vendors. Most can afford that because the sell quantity not quality.

Thats not to say that big company like that never at times get a batch or two of decent leaf, but there is by no way shape or form a comparison to what small batch vendors do and the major vendors that are part of the MM and MeWe community. (Just to be clear that also doesn't mean that there aren't some amazing larger vendors that have scaled up very well while keeping the customer and quality in mind, and without letting it affect their product. Some vendors from MM and MeWe do have or have had the ability/means/motivation to scale up and do it right, and they are amazing as well and don't loose that connection to their customer base. All of my vendor are from MM or MeWe, and that was transitioning from big companies like HH. Each one of the truly great and widely discussed vendors around here provides a level of personalized service that far exceeds my preference for what packaging is used)

Many of the small batch vendors have 1 or 2 jobs, families, and other responsibilities (or the are a one man/woman show working 16 hours a day for an industry that is kind of shaky with lots of headaches), and many do this because they love the leaf and providing likeminded people with that leaf or they need the income provide for their families. They aren't cutting costs of packing to fund vacations around the world. There is also so much work that goes into vending that many people have no idea what it takes to actually source and provide good leaf. Especially with the recent issues, shipping problems being a massive headaches and financial burden at times. There are plenty of warehouse indo vendors that you can take you're chances with if you ever want to try giving that a go.)

I actually really like the plymore bags, and I like the personal touch of the handwritten bags. If you do not want to purchase from any vendor using plymore bags, just ask any one of them or the community before ordering - and they will tell you before you order pretty much anything you want to know. Some people don't have websites because they aren't targeting a large audience, you can reach them very easily, and email does the job just fine.

On a personal note, Soul has been around for a very long time in this community, and he works extremely hard to provide quality leaf that is not being sold anywhere else. I have heard him called an "expert sourcer" of amazing leaf by many veterans, and that is where he shines.

That being said. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and preferences. If anyone is looking for quality service and leaf, you might miss out on some excellent burns and pretty awesome relationships with some of the vendors in this community. There are some great vendors around here that do not use plymore, so if that is a priority for you, I hope you will find your way to one of them.

It might matter in other ways than just personal opinion. I've heard a few different people say that if the plastic of the bag isn't thick enough and it's written on with sharpie, the fumes end up penetrating it somehow and it can be tasted in the kratom, which would concern me greatly. But like many things concerning kratom, we can't really definitively say whether marker fumes do anything or not. There will always be some people swear they notice a difference while others swear just as vehemently that they don't.

I care about packaging regardless so I feel you on that. The zipper on plain ziploc bags fails more often than the zipper on sturdy thicker ones like FF's or Denette's for me. I was thinking of trying to stay up to catch a Soul drop one of these days but thank you for posting about this; I won't go to the trouble. Maybe if I had more space to transfer it into jars, but eh. No hate intended, there's just no part of the process of trying to order from Soul that appeals to me personally at this point. Which means more elusive Soul leaf for the rest of y'all

I have tried Soul a few times from the Trading Post, and it is good. My issue, and it is totally a personal one, but with drops it can be hard for folks in lower income brackets, who need to build their kratom purchases at or around payday. I'm on disability and have a firm kratom budget, and I reboot any needed kratom (mostly pain relieving reds but Soul's greens are, from my experience, amazing) on or closely after the 1st of each month. With such a structured income, drops do not work for me. I guess I just wish the product would last longer? Not sure if anyone is in the same boat, or if I'm even being vaguely coherent. Personally, I'd take Soul wrapped in a tampon box, as long as it happened to be available!
