I received my order within a couple of days, beautifully packaged (and FREE!) priority mail. I'd ordered 3X 100 grams Green Maeng Da, 1X 100 grams Green Kali, 1X 100g White Maeng Da.
Shaun graciously threw in a 10 gram sample package of Green Kapuas and another of Super White.
I tried the samples first. I should note here that I only use Kratom as tea because of gastro issues but that tea is far from an ideal way to compare strains, because it's hard to keep batches exactly consistent. My "method" is low simmer (beneath 212F) of kratom pre-soaked for at least twenty minutes with straight lemon juice and I toss in a couple of bioperine (black pepper extract) capsules, plus, if I remember, a few drops of d-limonene.
I prefer to brew by the quart -- either 32g or 62 grams per quart, that way, a shot glass of strained Kratom is either 1 or two grams. And I always freeze overnight, then either use the tea strained and thawed or give it a second simmer.
Observations:
- Super White was the strongest. Very energetic. Quick onset. Marked red bubble on freezing. Some euphoria at 2 to 4 grams and I mostly don't get euphoria from Kratom unless you count a pretty vague sense of wellbeing (more like taking the edge off a low-grade depression than euphoria -- that's all I usually feel. Maybe I'm not taking enough?)
Green Kapuas also hit me hard -- so hard, I vomited which never happened before and did not happen again when I tried it the next day. I didn't like it as much as the Super White but I have chronic health issues that cause a lot of fatigue so GK may be too relaxing for me.
Green Maeng Da -- I haven't mixed up strains much and this has been my primary order from other vendors since I started using Kratom. The Fused Green MD didn't work for me. I have to take more of it to feel anything at all and even then I don't feel much besides fatigue.
White Maeng Da -- this feels more like the Green MDs I have purchased in the past. Increased energy, effective pain relief, slight antidepressant effect. I liked it.
Hours after I received confirmation that my returns arrived at Shaun's place, I received a shipping confirmation of my replacement order from Shaun with the tracking number.
Honestly, you could have knocked me over with a feather. Who does this? Plus, he sent the replacements priority (which was ENTIRELY unnecessary -- there was no rush!) and refused my offer to stick a few bucks cash in with the return to offset his shipping charges.
My replacement Kratom will be white strains and I will update this post when I have tried them.
In the meantime, though, I wanted anyone who is looking for vendors to know that if you are looking for an easy fast satisfaction-guaranteed transaction with a vendor whose integrity is unparalleled, you cannot do better than Shaun at Fused Flora.
Red Vietnam is also very relaxing. I still have more I haven't tried yet.
