Red Horned Bali KA13: this definitely has that “brain bath” feeling good reds give. It’s on the slow side but I was still able to get stuff done. Granted it was an afternoon off to myself so I didn’t have many responsibilities but I wasn’t lethargic or a slug or anything. It’s hard for me to find a red I really like, especially a slow one. I really enjoyed this, though. The day I dosed, something unrelated happened that should have totally enraged me (for context, I’m going through custody issues
Platinum Yellow KA14: this was a very well rounded strain. Great pain and anxiety management with a really nice energy boost. It was faster for me than the green. There wasn’t anything specific that made it stand out, except it was very good quality. And that’s all you really need, right?
Green Grandpa Q1: this is a slower green that I LOVED. Like the other samples, the effects were subtle yet noticeable. It also has long legs. I generally dose 3-4 times a day, but I was good after my second dose (each dose was about 2.5g). It lasted all day and was VERY mellow, plus I kept up the pace easily at work. I can’t wait for the event to get more, it really is some beautiful kratom!
If I had to sum up my experience with Denette in one word, it would be “subtle”. That DOES NOT mean weak. They blended in seamlessly with my day, and I really only noticed the effects once I took a step back to take a mental inventory. Sometimes the kratom come-ups and come-downs can be jarring, but all 3 were soooooo smooth. It was also a pleasant surprise to find a slow red I enjoyed. Yellows are usually hit or miss for me, and I love my greens, but the effects here were both subtle AND powerful, so it absolutely stood out. I’m excited to try a white from them, as all 3 of these strains had a slower edge to them and I’m curious to try some of their other speedier stuff. Slow strains are generally not my cup of tea but I REALLY enjoyed all 3 (I wouldn’t label the green or yellow as “slow”, but they are on the slower end of my experiences with similar strains). Love, love, love Denette!
