Hey I'm here. Doing good! Thanks for asking

I didn't get tested but still in isolation. I feel fine. Most of the symptoms I had (upset stomach) only lasted a few days and are all but gone. I'm still hunkered down in my basement

I don't have insurance... but I spoke with my doctor's office, and was told if my symptoms continued or got worse, then to get tested. But since it had been a few days since my fever and I was pretty much feeling fine when I spoke to the office, I was told just to quarantine and follow the cdc guidelines. I got the impression that tests are in such high demand that supply is becoming strained, and if I didn't need a test to hold off. Of course they said I could get tested if I wanted. By the time I go back to work, it will be 14 days in isolation.

The Pfizer vaccine may be authorized by the FDA as soon as this week. I went ahead and signed my vaccine consent form, I'm just waiting now to see when it becomes approved and when it is available to me, no timetable yet. I don't know for sure that it's going to be the Pfizer one, it could be Moderna, but I will find out before getting the first or two doses. The Pfizer one has already been approved in the UK and the vaccinations have already begun.

Holy cowvid, I hear you. I try not to pay so much attention to those stories, they're ubiquitous right now and it's seriously frustrating. The height of selfishness and entitlement, and a good example why the world hates us. I'm not a hockey fan, but I did find it interesting that NHL redrew the team divisions to have a Canadian-only div, because Canada won't allow Americans in their country due to our pathetic coronavirus response. They literally changed their sport to keep us out.

News on multiple sites today reporting a "variant" of the COVID19 virus in UK, Southern England. Gotta say, ever since summer this has been my worse fear: variants and mutations. 'Experts' are saying that the vaccines should be effective though. Let's hope.

Yeah, I've heard of a couple mutations. I saw some terrifying posts in a Reddit thread just now about all the things Covid can do to you. I might never leave the house again.

Lol, thats going to be hard to quit youtube. I mean there is so much stuff on it that youtube doesn't remove that is fake, have you seen that video coca cola testing positive for c-19? I agree brave, I wish some of the bigger tech companies did more to keep fake or misleading stuff on their platforms. Twitter has made a small step towards that. The trouble is that it blurs the line between free speech and raises many difficult questions, my guess is that they care more about money than integrity and will always choose the option that brings in the most revenue.

However, I agree with @herbalhippie on suggesting you may scratch YouTube off the list for seeking truth in social media.

How many awesome videos on kratom have been removed? The numbers are high. So MANY helpful vids have been kicked to the curb, making room for negative reviews and lies. That’s a clue about their stance on truth. I also wish it was like it used to be, helpful and censorship free. Those days have gone.

Another Covid scare from son's workplace only this time it's not a false negative. Lady at work was starting to feel ill this morning, goes and gets a rapid test. Positive. So they shut down the bank again, and everyone goes to the clinic again and lines up in their cars again to get tested. Son's came back negative but it's early yet. So we are doing the house protocol. After he called me earlier I disinfected everything he might have touched. Now he'll stay in his room on his side of the house as much as possible, sanitize hands and put on a mask and let me know to mask up before he comes over, then wash his hand immediately, does what he needs to do and get out. I spray Lysol all around, leave my mask on for a while. Try not to touch my face unless I scrub my hands first.

He said this lady work across the room from him and he's very good about mask, sanitizing and distancing protocol. Only takes his mask off to eat lunch in a room by himself. Still.....

It's going to be a long winter.

I have read so many stories (and seen so many videos) of people who didn't expect to get sick, but, though they weren't careless, they were not even anywhere close to observing safe practices the way you do.

I believe that you are going to be alright. Even if the two of you were to be infected, your chances of a fairly easy recovery are good. It didn't kill Giuliani!). It doesn't sound like you have any symptoms. I know it's hard af to not be scared but you have been through far worse and you're a Warrior.

And the more folks talk about their experiences (here and everywhere) the louder the message will be (I hope). Assume this virus is everywhere because it is.

Reason why i post it is because i have all kindas of cedar oils and eucolyptus that i can mix my own in small bottle. I also have a bunch of Q tips i can use for my nose instead of my pinky finger. I enjoy these smells a lot, i usually put this on tip of my nose if some bad smell anywhere but never thought about putting on sides of nose. Interesting.

Hi guys! I hope everyone is doing okay. I'm still working away, wearing my mask, and trying to keep my distance from all of these assholes. I shouldn't say that, these people are my brothers and sisters. I've been working with some of them for 40 years and I do care about them.

Today is my granddaughters 19th birthday. I haven't seen her in 10 months. She called and wants to come over and introduce me and Mr. MetalMama (haha, he'd kill me if he knew I called him that) to her new boyfriend. Ugh!!! I thought about it for hours and finally told her to come over but we're all going to wear masks and social distance. I really really hope I don't regret this.

I love the smell of Vicks vaporub. Medical examiners put some below their noses when doing autopsies on the decomposing.

Brave777 you are NOT A QUITTER! I’m hopeful that you will find us the home remedy and save the world! I really appreciate your consistent searches and positive attitude! If only Qtips and essential oils were the remedy! Darn! Please keep trying. But be careful about the BS on YouTube still. It was a great resource once...now it is good for helping people wait out the time while in seclusion and all alone! Hopefully this does not include you or Greyfeather’s son. If I got that right. I can definitely send belated birthday wishes! I also have the inability to buy stuff for my boyfriend while managing to shop for myself online, much like the Mr. I hope he got you a card! That’s ALL I KNOW HOW TO DO! Special meals, my anxiety and OCD don’t need the kitchen messed up! It’s not fun when I keep washing my utensils and putting them away before I’m done with them. Stopping to mop the floor midway...gifts are difficult to find during this special time of year. I’ve practically had to lock myself up to avoid giving my mom her one present early. But it’s just her favorite candy and then it’s over! Wrapping? Forget it - tape sticks to everything except the package! Another big mess! I got the boyfriend on an agreed, “no gift exchange” policy because we get stuff when we need it for one another, not just in December. There’s always the worry that he got me something ANYWAY. There’s all kinds of crazy astronomy and astrology stuff going on and NOW there is a COVID-19 PLUS PLUS MAX (my nickname for a mutation of covid-19) in the UK that “spreads faster”! So far, experts think it “should” be resolved by the vaccine. Meaning they have NO IDEA what this mutation actually does or how it will affect EVERYONE ON EARTH. Very difficult on the morale!

Thanks for input everyone, and no i am not pouring oils in my nose! lol... I was talking about barley touching the side of the nose with oils. I just love how Eucalyptus/ camphor smells like. When someone farts , instead of being pissed off, i put a little on tip of my nose and i am happy. I just didnt know their more benefits to it if its true but even if its not, it wont harm me, i been using it on and off when i need the bad smell go away. Even at work sometimes people eat lots of beans and eggs or what ever and i cant stand that so i got some peppermint oil around.

I take a multivitamin as well as kratom daily, and I haven't had a flu or a cold in quite some time. There may or may not be correlation.

Now watch me get sick because I jinxed myself.

By the way, Congress has finally agreed on a long awaited covid relief bill. Expect it to be voted on in the House and Senate in the next few days, and have the president's signature shortly thereafter. This includes, among other things, renewed unemployment benefits, a moratorium on evictions, and another round of $600 direct payments to most people (anyone that makes under $75,000 a year). It's half of the amount that was in the initial CARES act in March, but if you're like me, it's sorely needed and I'm just glad there is some help on the way. From a few articles I've looked at, the first round of checks could be issued within a week of the bill passing.

Playerpiano72, it’s not coincidence. I’m normally sick A LOT and was often torn about how many activities I did with people who would show up sick “but not contagious” and i was getting viruses from that nonsense a lot. I had low grade fevers ALL THE TIME. Viruses and fevers were normal about a week of each month. I’ve had one fever lasting parts of 2 days since March. My Mom used to blame “that kratom” for my fevers. I figured she might be right, honestly. “That kratom” hasn’t caused me any problems. Hmmm

The only illness issues I’ve had are the chronic pain, depression and anxiety issues that are MY PROBLEM regardless of cause (inherited is what it is). Kratom being legal and accessible has been an ongoing blessing. I’m learning to eat better and AT HOME and I actually look better than I did when I was on the go with in-person activities.

I hate to say it, but the safety protocols have been amazing for my health AND being sick all of the time used to aggravate my depression, so my bad depression days are fewer.

Definitely a correlation in my experience. Not sure about anyone else. I really preferred being with people more AND that is helpful for depression also, but zoom gatherings HAVE HELPED somewhat.

There are positive perspectives , I guess. I’m glad you are also healthy!

I definitely do take Vit C and Vit D and I use the Youngevity Tangy Tangerine 2.0 nutrient drink for overall immune support.

From what I’ve read, Vit D is a part of the treatment of covid-19. I’m not sure, as it’s not suddenly UNAVAILABLE like hydrogen peroxide. My dental gargling is being cut off into infinity because of covid-19. EVERY BOTTLE.

Travel to/from the UK is being discontinued tomorrow because of the “faster-spreading” mutation. Not the news we want to hear while everyone is ditching family for the holidays (except for the jammed airports and plane travelers who are miraculously immune).

Actually, the US is one of the few western countries that have not put a UK travel ban in place. It's a wonder why, as Trump took so many victory laps after doing the China travel ban earlier in the year. Hopefully they will ban travel soon but as of now it hasn't happened.

Excuse me, but who got the first F-ing round?

No one that I know. My mother has been on lockdown since March. Is she going to get one of these Fairy Godmother rescues? I don't think so.

Is anyone else wondering why both local and national news can't seem to be specific about anything regarding this vaccine? Yes, I DO believe in some conspiracies (especially when it concerns a life-saving resource combined with the worst kind of capitalism and those with the privilege to buck the line).

What will people be writing about this whole shit-show 100 years from now? Or will the people writing those histories be the great-grandchildren of the oligarchs who shouldered everyone else out of the line?

My understanding is healthcare workers and nursing home residents were the only groups approved for first round of vaccine and even then they ran out and didn’t have enough for everyone who signed up to receive it.
