Denette615 - Grampa Green (RP8) Review
Dose: 2.3g
Taste: Macha green tea, legitimately tasty
Mood: Anxiolytic, 6/10
Energy: Strong, 9/10
Legs: Long, 8/10
Analgesia: Notable full body relief from aching joints and lower back pain, 8/10
Head Space: Clear and quick, a bit edgy 7/10
Rating: 5/10 due to the headache, would be 8/10 or 9/10 otherwise.
Other notes: This was one of the generous samples included with my order. Unfortunately, it gave me a headache, which I associate with a classic green thai or standard green malay. I may try this in a blend with something heavy and chill to try and mitigate the headache, because it was a phenomenal green, otherwise.
Edit: The headache is not, by any means, indicative of a bad batch or low quality product - I chalk it up to a quirk of my own biochemistry and its been a consistent issue with very specific green varieties for almost a decade.
Edit 2: Weighed a tsp of this and amended the dose for the sake of a good review.

Re: Denette615 - Grampa Green (RP8) Review
I really liked the last batch of grampa green. Had no issues with headaches (make sure you're well hydrated). Haven't tried this month's. You really can't go wrong with any D green, they're either good or they're great. The only strains of his I've found don't work well with me is the white strains. But some of his greens are fast enough to pass as a white so it's all good.
Thanks for the review, I like the template.
By the way, I recommend buying a cheap scale off amazon. Teaspoons aren't all that accurate and can vary in weight widely depending on how loose or compressed the leaf in it is. For $10, it's worth it for the peace of mind, and you can measure and keep track of your kratom consumption much easier and more reliably.

Thanks for the input, I'm glad you liked the format. I drink like 2 gallons of water a day and take DIY electrolytes 3-4 times a day (keto). It was the only strain from my order that really gave me a headache, but it was consistent each time that I tried it and happened on different days - its a familiar sensation, I've always had it from specific greens. I definitely wouldn't chalk it up to a bad batch or anything, just my weird biochemistry. In terms of a scale and measurements, I tried a cheap scale for a while, about 7 years ago, but its too much effort. I never take more than 1.5 TSP at a time (usually a bit less than 1 TSP, depends on the variety), 3-5 times day, and I've kept it like that since I started using kratom in 2011, so I'm not too worried about moderating or tracking my use. Thats great advice for people who are, however!

Using a scale...too much effort? All you do is set it on the counter and scoop a little pile of powder on it. It takes an extra five seconds. Also helpful if you're trying to taper off, or when you're mixing strains and want to keep it even. Personally I like mine so I don't overdo it and I like to know exactly how much I'm taking. I get my money's worth out of it.

I'm messy, always have been, so it ended up making a mess everywhere in addition to being an unnecessary step - you should see my kitchen after I cook dinner. The extra effort also accounts for clean up and having to shuffle stuff on my counter since I have so many kitchen tools. Like I said, I have a comfortable, functional, and optimized rhythm with my kratom use that works exactly as I need it to, for me. I'm glad what you do works for you, and it sounds like a good suggestion for someone who needs to optimize their own use.

I got grampa green. Pretty good strain. Only time I get headaches from kratom is if I vape off my e-cig too much which is a recipe for dehydration and a major cause of headaches. His green batak is just about as good.
