It took a while for me to receive the payment - confirmation email, but I'm registered with informed delivery through USPS. They sent a text regarding the tracking number WELL before the email came. If you paid on the first, it's definitely possible you'll be able to pull up the tracking info by now.Rockcrete88 wrote:I placed my order on the 1st. I received a payment email and I paid. If memory serves, they generate the tracking number before payment is made. They send it with the payment request. So again, that's not going to confirm that they have acknowledged your payment. Not trying to be difficult gang. But the way they have it set up, tracking is not going to inform you that they received payment and have continued processing your order. If you feel you've done everything correctly, I think the best thing is to wait, have faith, and only double check with them if you feel it's absolutely necessary. They're dealing with a lot of orders with a small staff, but they do know what they're doing.Jestrice2002 wrote:It took a while for me to receive the payment - confirmation email, but I'm registered with informed delivery through USPS. Where do I find the info to order from them. Please and thank you. I'm not super new to double m but wasn't here for their last ordering event and still don't know how to find their menu and stuff.

Yes, they do. However, the "label created" notice only came later. It's an immediate notification, so I'm assuming they do something additional on their end. I'm not that familiar with the process, though, so I could be wrong.SaintsWillConquer wrote:If memory serves, they generate the tracking number before payment is made. Ah, ok. I don't do any kind of tracking notification such as "informed delivery' so I wasn't aware of a "label created" notice. That does sound like an indication of forward progress for anyone using that service. Thanks for the info!Jestrice2002 wrote:Yes, they do. However, the "label created" notice only came later. I’ve seen some outstanding reviews regarding the Yellow Samarinda and I grabbed some as part of my split key. While I don’t currently see any other Samarinda strains on the menu, I’m curious to know if TFH had previously offered a Red Samarinda, Green Samarinda, White Samarinda or Gold Samarinda.

I have been testing, sampling, and partaking in the open events for a couple years give or take now.... Whenever they began offering the tester program to us here at DoubleM. As far as I can remember or have ever heard the Yellow Samarinda has been the only one. Oddly enough, as well, I review that strain quite differently than most have recently. I personally find the Yellow Samarinda quite relaxing and even at times and at a point a bit sedating....BUT same as everyone has said it is a very special yellow for mood boost and most of all I have found it very reliable in effects, meaning that it pretty much always hits for me!!! Just figured I'd mention since my finding have been a bit different as far as which end of the spectrum this strain hits for me.Vipercuda69 wrote:I’ve seen some outstanding reviews regarding the Yellow Samarinda and I grabbed some as part of my split key. I have a Green Samarinda from TFH sometime last year I believe. I only got 100grams of it but it is a really fast, high mood boost strain. I actually don't know if this was a menu item or a strain I tested and then was able to buy a small amount of. I know in the past some of the test samples are experimental batches so they're not always available. If I recall correctly the Green Samarinda was a limited batch, and after I tested it, I asked if it was available and was able to buy 100grams. But it is an amazing strain! I keep my favorites in a certain stash separate and this one is in the favorites section
Now that it was brought up, I am going to burn a blend of the Green Samarinda and Yellow Samarinda

Thanks for the reply. I’ve always found Samarinda strains to be quite potent. Often Yellow strains are a blend of Red and Green. Whereas Golds are a blend of White and Red. I was asking because I have a feeling the Yellow Samarinda might not be on the menu much longer since it seems so popular. If I were to see a Green and Red Samarinda at a later time, combining the two might replicate the Yellow Samarinda. I’ve been successful doing that with some other vendors. But TFH isn’t just some other vendor. For all I know it could be a unique drying technique that produces the Yellow Samarinda. I’m just spitballing. Maybe I should just grab more while I can.acejestyr15 wrote:I have been testing, sampling, and partaking in the open events for a couple years give or take now.... Whew, this go around of the open event has got my head spinning! I can only imagine what it’s like on their end! All in all, I’m excited to be experiencing another TFH event since the last one in May and grateful that they’ve opened the opportunity to us again here.
I just wanted to explain some of the thoughts and feelings I’ve been experiencing this time as a participant in the event because I feel like I need further clarification and maybe this will help anyone else experiencing the same sort of things too.
First, I was subject to panic and worry when I didn’t receive an auto reply to my original order submission at midnight EST on the 1st. Then, after reading through the thread here, I saw others experiencing the same (although I had already sent another email to test) and that calmed me a bit. Then the next day I received a payment request in response to my original midnight email, so that helped me realize that I hadn’t made an error or misstep when following all the ordering instructions and could relax knowing that my order was processed. I still remember how disappointed I originally felt though after studying and preparing my pre-order for days beforehand & feeling like I failed the process when it finally came down to it
.
...the panic and preparation was worth it though! Happy to say I actually ended up getting my package early and it just arrived in the mail this afternoon on Monday, July 6! However, with that happiness also came a mix of confusion, because while it is noted that some orders may have shipped earlier, I’m still wondering if I glitched the system somehow. After noticing there were no raffle tickets in my package, I started panicking (yes, again) and rereading everything again to make sure I didn’t mess up with the steps. I’ve emailed them in response to my original order to see if I can get an answer on that.
After I started reading everything again about the raffle, I felt like I wasn’t understanding the whole process of it completely. For example, it says that the first drawing will be on July 8th, however wouldn’t that exclude some of the preorder people since that’s also the date of when most (or at least more) orders are going be sent out? I know people can still check their tickets to the drawing afterwards and that there will be a second raffle as well, but right now the whole thing seems rather unclear as to how it’s going to work out and I can’t help but be a little confused and curious.
Hope my confusion doesn’t come off as criticism! As prefaced, I can only imagine what it's like in their end and not to mention all during Mercury retrograde and the global pandemic, too! that sure is a wild ride.

Thank you so much for the comment - you brought up something that I didnt think about regarding the drawing. With the audible being called on pre-order delivery dates, we will be pushing the date of the drawing back. I'll add that note to the update I made on our event thread... thanks!
Regarding your order - we accidentally processed your order as one of our member orders.... not a pre-order. That is both the reason why you got it so fast and why you didnt get any raffle tickets. Just shoot us an email - we will give you some "digital" raffle tickets
I know the instructions for this event were really complex - our intent is to try and provide as much info as possible upfront since we know we wouldnt have the bandwidth to field a lot of questions... its a challenging balance. After this event, we will review what worked well and what didnt and apply our learnings to the next! Thanks, everyone!

That’s a good question. If the drawing is on the 8th, I might not have my package in time to know if I won or if I even was lucky enough to get tickets for the drawing. But I will add, USPS is screwing up package scans BIG TIME. I’ve had packages say the status was Label Created and the PO was still waiting for the vendor to drop the package off at the originating post office. My current order shows that the post office hasn’t even received my package yet and only the label was created. I have other packages from other vendors with the same status. But one package actually came today. It went from Label Printed immediately to Delivered. I don’t know if that’s the case with your order. But I have a feeling that many of the pre orders have already shipped. Even though they still say Label created Waiting for package, they could very well be in transit. Maybe, maybe not. But I have been receiving packages from USPS and I can’t track the progress while in transit. In fact, one package immediately went to delivered status the exact day the vendor dropped it off at the post office. So the USPS tracking was completely hosed for that package.mysticalmoon wrote:Whew, this go around of the open event has got my head spinning! I can only imagine what it’s like on their end! Even if your order comes to you later than you expect, your tickets may contain a winning number; You'll just find out a little later than you would have liked
. And if you don't get a ticket, I'm sure Chris will take care of you.

Thanks for the reply. I just saw that Gumby will be moving the drawing date. I think that will allow for us to get our orders in time. It’s really great that he’s doing this. A very cool idea. Good luck to you as well.Greyfeather wrote:@Vipercuda69

SG sumpur is almost gone! That makes me sad. Thankfully I stocked up in time. But I was hoping that one stayed in stock all year. Hopefully Chris and the team can replicate that one. Seriously probably my favorite batch in 4+ years of use. They got pretty darn close on the 30 year wild white tfh. First batch was a tad bit faster IMO. But his second batch was damn close. So Chris please keep in your thoughts to try and harvest the same trees with same process you did for that Sg sumpur. If even possible. And thanks for this event. My order is in route!

Is it really possible to replicate a specific batch? Wow!! I mean, if anyone can do it, it would be TFHKBull wrote:SG sumpur is almost gone! That makes me sad. Thankfully I stocked up in time.

Re: July Event - Now Accepting Pre-Orders! Texas Family Har
I have only been able to replicate Yellow and Gold strains of other vendors. Most Yellow strains are Green/Red blends. Most Gold strains are White/Red blends. But that’s not a rule. For example: Some Yellows will be a white or a green with a different drying technique. With some vendors with a great Gold Bali, I can sometimes mix their Red Bali with a little bit of their White Bali and it will be nearly identical to the Gold Bali from that same vendor. It’s an experiment and doesn’t work all the time. But I’m convinced TFH puts a massive amount of research and effort into picking strains and drying techniques with true science behind it all. Plus the reviews of their customer base plays a huge part in it. Anyone that gets samples in their order, PLEASE GOD MAKE SURE YOU SUBMIT YOUR REVIEW FOR THOSE SAMPLES. I’m convinced it’s a HUGE key factor in bringing the best of the best to all of us. I’ve personally never had such potent, pure, fresh and effective strains from any other vendor. I’ve tried over 100 vendors in 4+ years and have my top 10. But TFH has been at the top of that list, #1 since day 1. I don’t know the secret and doubt I ever will. I’m just very thankful. I have a small handful of vendors that come really close but still don’t match TFH. They have something really special going on and the quality and professionalism is second to none. I’m not a huge kratom consumer. I don’t make huge kratom investments and I average 15-20 grams a day for years. But I do feel honored to be part of these offerings. It’s really something extraordinary.Greyfeather wrote:Is it really possible to replicate a specific batch? Wow!! I mean, if anyone can do it, it would be TFHKBull wrote:SG sumpur is almost gone! Sometimes I try to imagine what their outfit is like and I conjure a vast databank network that contains info on and descriptions about every kratom batch. It seems to me if you aren't already a chemist, you might well become one after years of experimentation.

I wouldn’t think it was that possible. But I know he did it with the 30 year wild white tfh. Don’t think know of others. But the 30yr white was very very similar. I know he used the same group of trees and same drying techniques. Of course there’s many other factors at play and that isn’t gonna get an identical batch every time. But yeah Chris is the man that would be able to do this. His Time and research he’s put into this industry is remarkable. Nobody is doing what he’s done. And his leaf shows for itGreyfeather wrote:Is it really possible to replicate a specific batch? Wow!! I mean, if anyone can do it, it would be TFHKBull wrote:SG sumpur is almost gone! Re: Exclusive Double M Event - Now Live! Texas Family Harve
Hey folks!
I received my order today (thanks so much TFH!), and I decided to dig into one of my choices right away. Doing so brought something to mind that I want to share with others who have ordered from TFH. If you have ordered in the past, your experience might be similar. If you are new to TFH, I'm hoping this might be useful info.
It is worth noting that Chris & fam vacuum most of their bags of kratom VERY efficiently. There isn't going to be any air in there before you open it, and that is extremely cool and considerate. It can make your package look strangely small
but, yeah, it's all in there!
What I have discovered is that, because the kratom powder is so tightly packed, if you open the bag, lower a spoon into it (let's say a teaspoonful) and bring the spoon up, you may THINK that you know the 'dose' you are getting. That is to say, IF you dose by using a spoon only. But from my experience, the kratom in the spoon is STILL packed very tightly, so chances are there are many more grams in that spoon than you might think. I always use a scale with a new bag from TFH because the spoonful may LOOK like 2 grams, but the scales says 4 grams!
One way I deal with this is to open the bag (IF I'm ready to use it) then fold the top back over a few times, then shake it vigorously for a while to loosen things up. At least I'll do it with a 100 or 250 gram bag. Then I can start to calculate serving sizes more accurately using just the spoon. I check every now and again with the scale to keep it honest but, yes, I can get lazy (and I'm not gonna judge myself
). By the way, I use those tiny little plastic/paper cups you can get at Walmart. This really is a good, cost effective deal. They aren't expensive and you can use them over and over. This keeps your scale clean and your spoon clean too.
Then again, you may want the powder to remain tightly packed even after it is opened. It's your kratom! I'm careful to squeeze air out before closing a bag again. I have never had a bag "go stale" or stop working because I loosened the powder up. But if you want to keep that powder tightly packed, I recommend always using a scale to measure every time. It can be a real chore to keep tolerances down.
Anyway, just a heads up if you are a first time buyer! Again, vacuuming the bags like this is very professional and just another reason why I love TFH, but it can alter one's perception of serving weight. Many of us find that we can take less TFH than some other leaf and get better results. I'm stingy, so I don't want to wast a single crumb. Enjoy!!

250g of the Classic Green Maeng Da is on the way. Tracking says tomorrow!
I was fortunate enough to have a friend let me try the red muna which was absolutely great stuff. My rating system is usually based off of a vendors Green Maeng Da. That is the standard to which I judge most.
I have no doubt it will be amazing.
Thanks again, TFH!

Yup, 4 split kilos! Thankfully I had some extra money to spend right now so figured I might as well stock up for the future! Are any of those repeat orders or are they all new ones you’re trying? I have some of those in my order that should arrive tomorrow. Are any of those Red considered faster reds in you’re opinion? Similar to the fast red, Rocket Red?SanPedroLover wrote:Yup, 4 split kilos! Thankfully I had some extra money to spend right now so figured I might as well stock up for the future!
