UK vendor, Mitra Genie Kratom?

Curious if anyone has used Mitra Genie Kratom (mitrageniekratom dott com) before?

Guy from there sent me a PM on Reddit before Christmas, saying he's a UK vendor, and ships from the UK. he also mentioned he could send a small sample... but he stopped responding to messages when I requested a sample (I see he's been active on reddit since).

Anyone used this vendor before? Is it genuine, and does he really ship from the UK?

Ive heard of the UK genie before but that's the extent of it, think hes been around for years....there is also the US MG that has pretty good leaf

Yes he's legit, where are you? I'm in USA and he's from U.K. so we don't have any business.. But He has a proven history online. Nice guy. Knows a lot about International in various Euro countries - you'd have to ask HIM, where he currently ships From and To... Kratom has many restrictions on shipping. He knows many Indo's. In fact he lived in Borneo for quite some time... He keeps quite busy

I did, and he says UK-UK... but it made me nervous about giving him money when he ghosted me after I politely asked if he could provide a small sample (which he'd earlier said was no problem).

I'm vaguely aware there is some kind of "Mitra Genie history", but I don't really know the deets. Still, good to know others here can vouch for it

Hmm, so this feels a bit weird. The guy who contacted me on Reddit claiming to be from Mitra Genie is definately not the Mitra Genie guy that lives in Indonesia (from his post history). He also claims to be working out of the UK, and has a different WhatsApp number to the one on the Mitra Genie website, and the one he gave isn't even on WhatsApp?!

Not sure if I should name this person, but their username begins with "2" and ends with "1" - anyone else been contacted by him?

Anyone here in the UK who has any idea what's going on? Do mitrageniekratom.com really dispatch from UK for UK orders?

Nowhere particularly remote, but not in a big city (so personal delivery wouldn't work, if that's what you mean)

Isn't kratom illegal to buy/sell in the UK? I want to say it is, but could be mistaken...

If so, I'd be wary of anyone selling UK to UK, especially if they are maybe posing as someone else, or if the contact info doesn't match up. Seems like a nice environment to be scammed.

It's legal to buy, as long as you buy from within the UK. Yes, I'm concerned there is some kind of scam going on, but I can't figure out the angle since the Reddit user pointed me towards the (real) Mitra Genie website...

If anyone else is curious, I contacted Mitra Genie directlly, and can confirm there is nothing dodgy afoot afterall - and they will deliver UK-UK! (they are based in the Netherlands, but have a "distribution centre" in the UK, with everything being sent by Royal Mail.

See, that's what threw me off. I'm not super familiar with EU kratom vendors, but I always thought he was located on mainland Europe. When you said UK to UK, it raised some flags.

Exactly. It makes no sense, but whatever, laws prohibiting substances rarely do.

It's illegal to import it into the UK, but it's also illegal to sell it within the UK. It is however legal to buy it from within the UK. Makes total sense, right?!

my scottish friend uses the not fake mitragenie Danny. says it's all really good! i talked to danny for a while a couple years ago and he def knows his stuff, and def will get kratom wherever u are

Does anyone know if anything is going on with mitrageniekratom at the mo'? I placed an order (and paid) almost a week ago and the order status is still 'on hold'. Not getting any response on WhatsApp (which he usually replies to quite quickly). Also I recently bought a KG of super green Indo and it was really not very effective. I'd previously bought the same from MGK and it was very good.

Wondering if I should consider my last £250ish order as lost and find a new UK supplier. If so, can anyone recommend a good UK supplier? I've used Kraatje in the past and they always been very reliable. MGK just had better produce.

Anyway, really not sure about MGK anymore. After last update I received a WhatsApp promising to post my order on Saturday morning, which didn’t happen. Then again on Monday was promised it would be posted and given tracking that day ( guess what, didn’t happen). Last night a WhatsApp message saying ‘if you’re receiving this message I’ll respond to your queries tonight’, (again didn’t happen). Really wondering if they’re viable now.

Conversely this afternoon I ordered from kraatje and had tracking within an hour for (international!) delivery tomorrow.

Sorry that you’ve got the same problem but I’m glad to hear it’s not just me. I’m surprised that there isn’t any online discussion about this anywhere (other than here)...no thread of outrage on reddit or something...? Maybe I’m not looking in the right places?

I can’t really see how we can get our money back. I don’t know about you but I always used to pay with card (whereby there might be a way to get the cash back), but tellingly on my last order the only option was bitcoin or bank transfer.

It’s weird because they seemed like they genuinely wanted to be a good company, with good practices and product etc. Always had very unreliable and ridiculously expensive shipping though. Bank transfers go to someone called Thomas Kray, but owner on MeWe account seems to be called Osman Kayani. Has the company been somehow taken over someone nefarious?

That is unfortunate.

I read a lot of mixed reviews on here and trustpilot about them and it seems the majority is bad.

I initially thought it would be great to find a domestic shipper.

I tried emailing them a couple of times but after a couple of replies after long delays they stopped responding completely so I don't have confidence in them and the latest info on here only seems to back that up.

I will skip even a test order from them given the above responses unless new info comes to light.

I agree kraatje has been the absolute best company for me over several years in terms of consistent quality kratom and reliable service. The only drawbacks to them is not domestic (I know that is an unrealistic expectation really now post ban) but also their shipping is incredibly expensive since they only use DHL.

There are several other companies who offer shipping at only a couple of euros (admittedly economy and untracked) but kraatje don't seem interested in cornering that market. If you order more per time I suppose the shipping costs becomes more reasonable but I only like to order a little at a time for tolerance/withdrawal reasons plus I feel the smaller the order the better when importing.

Briefly: looks like the UK part of the company (I.e. Osman) was stealing everyone’s money and not sending orders, while stringing everyone on with a series of deceitful WhatsApps. The owners are now only despatching from Indonesia, so my order is finally on the way. So no quick delivery for the time being from MGK unfortunately.

I think it’ll just be Kraatje for me for the moment. It blows my mind that I can order from them one afternoon and receive international delivery the next day. Without fail.

Anyone tried De Kratom Shop? How’s the quality and service?

Hi All came across this forum by accident and given the subject matter, thought i cold add some value.

I have been a customer of MG for over a year. Apart from the occasional dry up on stock and a couple of miss leading statements on delivery ive always been very happy. Good price but expensive shipping. Given my last vendor took my money and ran, ive never had an issue here until recently.
Ordered in the uk, then told it was coming from indo. So i pancked and watched it move all over the place before settling in the uk last week. Since then its been sat in clearing. Lots of emails to TK and not so many replys. First told its the phone number then told hes working on it. Personally i think every shipment
that was sent was held for the same reason, but even i dont know what it is. Ive had to order a backup. Best thing he could do is return the money for the shipments and we can all go off and buy elsewhere, My strategy is if i get a visit i will show them the uk order with history as its not illegal or posses in the uk and hopefully that will ut an end to it.
I think there was a fallout between oz and tk. /maybe TK rumbled what oz was doing. But i never had any money taken and alwys found oz to be true to his word. If i could make contact with him now, id be buying from him. If anyone else wants to reach out over these shipping issues just contact me on here.

I'm in the same position, UPS just says waiting clearance since Monday. I'm panicking. TK not answering emails. Can I get into trouble for ordering this?

Hi there

As we all know the import is not allowed. But if you are like me, i ordered it from the uk, then i was told t was been sent from Indo. i have proof that previous deliveries were from the uk. From what i know its not illegal to buy in the uk or posses.

I am told if its not over a kilo the worst case is a letter. When i contacted ups yesterday they told me it was on import hold and needed a telehone number so ups could speak to me and tell me what was needed. i replied and said but im not expecting anything from Indo, its a total suprise. Which it was. The only way i knew was a tracking number that was sent to me. Listen we are all in the same boat. Again from what i understand if the packages dont get imported they are destroyed. Anyone reading this please feel free to correct me, im not an authority and im the same. Worrying and anxious because of a situation that was not instigated by me. anybody else with information to share go ahead.

As an aside this could have something to do with the virus, im just speculating that it might be the problem. Also when i checked this morning with TK. i suggested it could be a duty charge. He said that tea was exempt. But ive been to the duty calculators and everyone has said VAT was due. So who's correct. My bets with the tax man

Sounds like a few people are in a similar situation, Im the same its been waiting for release from customs since Monday. I called ups earlier and they said that on their end it had cleared customs, so its clearly got lost somehow, potentially there's something wrong with the tracking, seems strange its happened for a few peoples orders.

I was asked to pay duty charge on the item via ups, which I did, before realising the problems with import, I really should have checked importing laws before I just bought it, I wasn't thinking. Shall not be ordering overseas again!

Hi all ive been re-reading this thread.

I noted above there was a mention of the trustpilot reviews. I was aksed as were many others to leave a positive review on there and mention they were in the netherlands. All a bit wierd. I was told Krat.je had dropped them in it in the uk and they lost their credit card processor. Although this came from OZ. At one point he was even leaving me voice notes, which is always useful to have.

Im going to have a look at reddit to find this MG guy and report back. Think it might be OZ, he was always ok with me. As an example TK says we have loads of stock in the uk, place an order, then oz says, no we dont, unless he was selling ti elsewhere. Seemed to be friction between them both.

While im here, did anyone buy from Professor Good Times. He was a good uk vendor for about a year. Based in london, met him a couple of times, then went completely nutts. Took my money and never sent anything.

Again, mine said the same, but when I called ups they told me it had cleared customs, but they didn't know what was happening with it. So i'm pretty sure the tracking information is wrong. Interested if anyone else has called ups to ask?
