Just curious, why is there not much traffic, in the vendors/strain review section anymore? We’re currently in the dry season, and nothing for the most part. I’ve been a member here for a long time and come back during dry season, to tap in, on good dry season leaf. Is there a simple answer, or multiple factors for the lack of traffic. Thanks in advance.

To me, ever since this new regulation in Indonesia, the kratom has lost a lot of its nuance.

Besides that, again, speaking for myself here, I haven't had hardly any expendable money for kratom to speak of.
Instead of a kilo from DTE, I just get a split quarter.
The vintage drop, only one quarter. Obviously I wanted all of the reds, but I could only afford one.

Sad part is I honestly have no clue where my money is going.

Maybe it's just me.

I especially love how they can do so much fuckery under the "safety" monacre and people eat that shit up. (ie 7OHM and I've never even taken it before)

And the money I don't have even when I do (taxes) goes to shit I wanna jump off of a bridge for funding.

That's a good question. Here's my best assumption.
I wouldn't be suprised if a good amount of users from here were short term using kratom as a segway into something else while not realizing it in the moment and/or they have since quit because they were heavy users suffering from the negatives of taking too many GPD. Mixed with some just sticking with a few vendors not caring about reviews staying away from the forums, mixed with fomo stocking up out of fear or overhoarding good leaf and have been good for two-three years with plenty of inventory lol. Also I know since covid the quality has gone downhill most sources.

Like WMS said above, for me it's because I stockpiled and am still dipping into bags from several years ago. I've got an unopened half kilo from Otie's that dates back to 2021 and the half kilo I did open is nowhere near gone. Part of the reason I stockpiled is because I kept stumbling on sales. The one from Otie's was for a kilo, two halves, for $66.00 with free shipping. I had plenty on hand when I bought it, but it was super green malay so I couldn't resist. A somewhat similar story when buying more from other vendors like TFH or Garuda and so on. I didn't want to sound like a broken record reposting my taking of them.

Lol, but that TFH Wild Crafted Rocket Red A35 from 2020 (I looked up my order) again brought a smile to my face today. Extremely well rounded and on point!

My very first order with TFH was the 30 Year Wild Super Green: IR3 and Wild Crafted Rocket Red: A35 They were on another level during that time.

Stockpiling is one reason. People panic buy during ban scares and there’s unfortunately been a lot of those in recent months. My personal opinion is that the main reason is 7oh. It really split the kratom community right in half, and took away a huge pool of kratom consumers. Less people buying means less reviews. However, with 7oh now facing a bunch of bans, I think the pendulum is going to naturally swing back to kratom powder.

All of the factors listed above, including general traffic slowdown since around 2023 and things like Discord pulling users away. DTE is doing a drop on Monday which allegedly (I haven't tried the samplers) has multiple fire strains including anything with "Dragon" in the title and the ever consistent Wild White Jongkong.
(edit: I forgot I actually did sample the North Hulu Kapuas (Green) J10. That one is very good, mid-spec green with u4ia and moodlift. I'm getting some of that one.)

Denette actually did a drop a while ago! I missed it by a week so some strains had already sold out but I didn't see any reviews here. Nodfather has also been chugging along.

Agree with observations - And here's mine

• Over the years, many short term users & curiosity seekers... either not that interested in kratom ? Looking for more "Social" in their social media. Not enough people here.
• Kratom users, go through a stocking-up phase... The annual Fear Mongering (- history of pushed by, or caused by, AKA.) - But Now they're OVER stocked...
• What's the main purpose of Double MM ? "Buying and Selling" ? .. For "Lurkers" who are Not Buyers ? We have little discussion on other topics. Again not enough people.
• Currently situation = 7OH community = now the MAJORITY of all "Active" kratom buyers/ since the Chronic Pain folks, and the Opioid Recovery groups.. discovered 7OH

It's not really fear mongering when it's reality, tell me we never been more close to a kratom ban then right now. Florida momentarily banned all leaf when it changed the law to 4 parts per million of 7-oh, then switching it to 400 ppm, which still bans many extracts. If the DEA copies this language for the federal law we are screwed.

If I was a betting man, I'd say it's 7oh pulling away plain powder consumers. I was holding off to see what was going to happen with it legally, but the current plan is to add a new 7oh section here very soon.

Keep in mind there are 2 metrics that sometimes get confused - traffic vs. participation. Paradoxically, the site has been experiencing great traffic growth the past 6 months with June and July being rather good, but participation is low. We have a lot of people coming in off search engines and social media (whoever is linking us there, thank you!) who find the information they're looking for and then leaving. Turning these casual browsers into active users is a struggle as old as time, especially with old school forums. But addressing that is beyond the scope of this post. Rest assured, though the forum may seem sometimes slow on the front end, there is a steady of stream of people visiting due to our large knowledge base (this forum has well over 10,000 posts and over 100k comments, not including trading post threads which are not indexed for privacy reasons).

We need more people to post for sure i think people don’t want to post in a forum about kratom because right now kratom is being seriously demonized.

I know people who use coke and take prescription pain pills who will give me side eye and tell me I have a drug problem because I tell them I use kratom.

I write crappy reviews, but if anyone else would like to make a concentrated effort to do so, game on. I will say I can't bring myself to critique stuff everyone likes but me. I keep ordering from this vendor and it keeps feeling...not so soft...but I'm always like, maybe this will be the one!

Even if you are dipping into older bags or vintage stuff, I'd love it if you'd share. I feel like I am one of the last kratomites on the island. Like, there is no other means of handling my pain, which is not improving as time moves forward. No, my issues are degenerative and it is all the more important to invest the little money I have into some vetted strains because I can't have a big box of stuff I can't take and selling half my life on FB Marketplace for a Buffalo nickel.

As for pain, chronic and acute, I find medicine is worse than ever regarding prescriptions. My partner was sent home with a mastectomy, no pain medicine. A hysterectomy, no pain medicine. Oral surgery--you guessed it.

I agree. I've been reading this forum for years....but I've hesitated to post out of fear that if K becomes Scheduled, do I want to risk having my name 'out there'...??. can there be consequences?? I am less fearful and am posting more b/c I figure IF that happens, then I WILL NOT post on a forum about an illegal substance. Presently, I am not doing ANYTHING illegal. I survived all my consequences in the past, and I won't go there again.

I’ve actually been on this page for a while, but mostly just reading and looking through posts without really engaging much. I only posted here and there, but now I’m starting to feel more comfortable sharing my own experiences — especially reviews on the kratom I’ve been taking. I only use one company, so that’s really all I can speak on, but I’ll do my best to contribute. I’ll also try to join in on some off-topic discussions too. Honestly, I just had to remind myself to come on here since it’s not the type of social app I’m used to, but I’m glad I’m finding my way around.

I've been a member for a few years, but only recently started coming here more often. I mainly read and see if there's anything for me to chime in on. I use a few different vendors so I can speak on that, and I have. I don't necessarily think it's this forum, even fb has died down a lot. I figured it's due to the censorship over there. Every time I open reddit, it seems to be a lot of 7 oh talk too, so I think that also plays a part.
