What’s your longest tolerance break?
Just took a 48 hour break and this burn is about to be so good! I realize that’s a pretty short break but it got me thinking. What’s the longest tolerance break you ever took?

I ran out for a long weekend a few years ago. It was a horrific experience. My longest t-break will be after I'm dead.

I think mine was like 19-20 hours? It was a long time ago but it was close enough to a day imo.

I just went about 5 months. I went to japan about 4 months ago and their laws are strange at best and did not want to deal with any stress about it so I quit. I just restarted taking it a week or two ago again. I tapered over couple weeks and only had a few nights of being not the most comfortable, nothing like other stories I've read when folks stopped.

About a week. It does the job perfectly, so I've never tried any longer t-breaks. Some people need more time, some people less. It's just all about finding what works for you personally.
I do take frequent 24-48 hour breaks though as a "soft reset".

I can't take a serious one because I live in a home with so much kratom and several kratom users. It's too darn hard!

Re: What’s your longest tolerance break?
I keep telling myself to give myself a break for closer to a week but honestly I don't think I need it. I've tapered down over a couple weeks but the actual time without doing any Kratom is 1 day. I find tapering down to 2g or less and I find that really helps a lot while not going through a sleepless night. By doing this method I can keep my daily dose to around 4g - 5g.

2 weeks. Tea felt incredible when I started using it again.

Took 9 days off last month. It was NOT pleasant, especially the RLS symptoms. During the worst of it I was tempted to walk to the smoke shop down the street to buy some and I've only used online small batch vendors before. I will definitely taper next time, as this time I did it cold turkey. Took 6g for my last dose and then...nothing. Black seed oil, golden milk & a LOT of vitamin c helps

Re: What’s your longest tolerance break?
In 2019 I was undergoing chemo and the first two and half months of it, I was on a chemo whose nickname is "red devil". Let me tell you, it was like going through hell and I was so sick that taking kratom was a waste since I couldn't keep anything down. The next 4 months, I was on a different chemo so I wasn't as sick and started again. Kratom was great and really helped me get through the rest of chemo and all the radiation. My oncologist was amazed that I was able to go on several long hikes a week. I didn't tell her that I was taking this magical tea
. Since then, I usually only take a break for a couple of days now and then.

I can 100% understand the urge to walk to the smoke shop; that RLS is almost unbearable. I’m lucky to have a norco prescription for chronic pain so I’m able to just pop a couple of em to take care of it. But man, it can drive you mad!Madvillain626 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:14 pm Took 9 days off last month. It was NOT pleasant, especially the RLS symptoms. Re: What’s your longest tolerance break?
I managed to get to 1.5 months, got so sick from wd I ended up in ICU for a couple days with some scary heart complications & was struggling to control my arms & legs from random tremors. Whenever I closed my eyes I saw a giant swirling black tornado underneath me, sucking me down to a level of depression I've never before experienced & it was hell. I realized that if I didn't get out of the hospital & take a dose things weren't going to end well & my wife was pleading with me to just get up & walk out because she thought I was going to die. So I convinced the doc to let me leave if I assured I'd come back if it got worse, & as soon as I got into my kitchen my wife started whipping up a cup of muck, I chugged that so fast, & in 60 seconds a wave of relief flowed over me from every pore. My wife saw how fast I changed & started crying. She made me promise to never stop kratom again, & from that experience it wasn't a difficult decision to make.
I've had kratom enthusiasts get really angry whenever I tell that story. Screw that. Everybody who wants to use kratom needs to be told the truth that it may end up being a life long nightmare. Not everyone has wd like I did. I hope nobody does. But the fact I did, & I know many others have, makes it a possibility that every potential user deserves to know about. And that's why I've made sure I have enough kratom to last for the rest of my life.

Pray4peace, Wait what? After 1½ months, you're saying you were still in wd? You were definitely in something but wd?

I've been taking kratom since 2020 and I've never gone longer than a weekend without kratom. I really don't even think about it but I really should consider a tolerance break
