Hi y'all! I thought it would be fun to discuss everyone's opinions on their favorite strains of the year! There's been real fire this year for sure!!

Some that deserve to be at the top (but in no particular order) for me are:

Lsms red saka (august drop)
Drhk 6
DTE premium red bali select series (genie rb2)
DTE premium red elephant k6
DTE red horned dragon k6
Lsms green dewasa (October drop)
Lsms red bali (October drop)
Sth green teweh (9/23)
Sth flamethrower (10/23)

Man, I’m gonna have to really think about it this year! I think my tolerance has increased significantly in 2023.

Plus, with K7 on the way, I’m gonna need to run those a time or two.

Yeah, a *bit* too early to declare what has been the best. For myself, I have over 3 kilos I've yet to try (need to make into capsules and while I suspect I *will* get it all made before the year is out and perhaps even tested at least once one of those might well be a years best - they are from TFH, Denette and LSMS so they all have that possibility).

Right now I would say the Heavenleaf would have to be up there (but as to what number? I get them SO confused. Can't remember whether I like 3, 4, 5 or 6 the best).

West Koast Botanicals - Pretty much all her greens that I've tried - but if I had to pick one I'd say Dark Green or OG Veitnam, the batch from a few months back (not knocking her current batch just haven't tried it yet

Still have some strains I need to try out before the year is out but I gottta give a shoutout to D615 in particular, he went nuclear with the greens this year. He dropped fire strains in every color but I'm a green guy and D was dropping potent banger after banger. Green Soul AR4, Green Platinum KA24 i think?, Green Sukang sk17, Green Pure F3, Green #1 SK18 (haven't tried SK19 yet). Gold Bangkanai AH25, White Berang sk16, Red Midnight ck 30 are fantastic.

Down to Earth also had an amazing year. 20 yr wild red sakit A2 (haven't opened A13 yet) is one of my favorites of the year, decade, & all time. So many fire strains this year but off the top of my head Imperial Green Dragon D4, Premium Red Bali G2, 20 yr wild green dragon A5, 30 yr green bakar b13 also stand out. Still need to try the classic green maeng da A7

Luckys just got a new batch in today. LOT 111523. I like fast whites. Always wanted to try High Octane. How does it work for you?

I can't speak for this current batch but It's definitely a fast blend historically. I think its a white/green blend, but their greens are usually on the faster side too.

the reason I have not tried Luckys yet is that I find a $9 shipping charge to be a little steep just to "try" a vendor. it would be no prob If I knew I liked them

Quite a few vendors with multiple strains that i could name as the best on any given day.

But i'll name one, because it was somewhat of an ordeal to research them, find their mewe group, finally get admitted, and then participate in their long awaited drop.

Just a shout out to Leaves of Eden. Their stuff just hits me the right way. if i need to name a couple of strains i'll go with the wild fire green and the gold jongkong, but several others are close.

It probably is the #3 - I just now (well, yesterday) made #6 into capsules and haven't yet tried them. And then someone (you?) mentioned #7 is coming out so there's that as well.

Perhaps we should review and/or make a new thread in another month (unless this is like the Oscars, in which case we should wait until the Spring to review this year :>).

Yeah I have to add a few to the list - I just keep receiving more and more amazing stuff.

D615 Red Sulawesi Strong SK19 might be the best indoor red I've had all year - that said, I have Wild Brunei on its way too and Denette himself says it could be the best daytime red he's ever carried.

Lucky's GMD 111523 of course added to the list.

And then the SK20 batch might arrive in december so I'll probably have to update my picks again.

Am I the only one who this one doesn't work for? my impression is that probably overall, the reviews for the 6 have been more mixed than for the others. but, not to question your reaction - i think that it is pretty potent. it seems odd that it wouldn't hit you at all.

I might be spoiled by the DRHK3 and DRHK4, but the DRHK6 did not feel particularly like a Dark Room strain for me. It was decent, but nothing to write home about like many of the strains listed in this thread.

I actually think I'm an outlier because the 6 has been the best for me. Most praise the 3 as the best, but not for me.

I did make up the #6 into capsules but I honestly don't remember if I've tried it or not (sounds odd, perhaps, but in the last week I've made at least 10 different batches up with at least another 10-15 to go so I haven't had the time to try them all).

If I get a chance maybe I'll try it over the next two or three days.

i enjoy reading your reviews, and i don't think that you have reviewed the #6 yet. it's possible that you took it and didn't comment, but all i remember is a couple of comments that you were going to prepare the capsules, and then that you did.

somehow i think that you would have commented if you had tried it, but damn. I don't know. the #7 is imminent (like next couple of days)

Yeah, unless #7 just gets the bomb reviews (which it might) I'll pass - I'm still struggling to get a ton of capsules made (today I'm making 1500 - three yellows, two from Denette and one from TFH).

But if you try it and find it to be truly wonderful please give me a heads up. I'm not above breaking my own resolutions <g>.
