So I was going through/organizing all my kratom (remember - about 95% of it is in capsules, and I have three or four massive storage containers full of bottles of various ones) and realizing there is absolutely no way I can use what I have in the next decade (and that's about as far as I can look forward at my age - after that if I'm still alive I may not be able to feed myself let along take my favorite herb :>). I had pretty well made up my mind I was NOT going to buy any more of ANY sort for the next six months...

And then this @#$%^@ Dark Room Hulu Kampas got made into capsules and I found I LOVED it. (It was number 3). And today I took 5, which may be better (or at least as good) and I'm thinking of ordering the 3 and now I'm being told I need to try Lonestar's Wild White Hulu and...

I wonder if there is a support group for those of us who can't pass up buying when it's ridiculous to buy more. I'm not talking about people who buy regularly and then use it all - I mean those of us who get ridiculous amounts we can't possibly use but still want more. In the meantime I'm wondering why TFH isn't replying to my email with my latest order info...

Well you’re not alone definitely with the dark room Hulu. For me I want them all but like you said I already have plenty but still tempted. I feel that way with others two like a really good batch from lucky, denette, and more. Though the dark room has been my favorite since I tried it. I was very surprised more didn’t rate it when it first came out then finally it exploded in recommendations. All well deserved in my opinion. Honestly I feel this way with weed, and many other things ranging from limited edition store products to a hat about to go out of stock. I don’t buy to much but I almost always feel fomo for something which is the point. That’s how they get you. Now sure many might not do it it on purpose but it is a business tactic. For example every month new stuff is released from so, and so. The reason being they want to create that urge so they can sell more products than if they just sold the same thing everytime. Now again many are just sticking new things up to keep their customers happy but do not overlook the fact that it’s purposeful which is not a bad thing. You can’t blame a vendor for wanting to sell more stuff. I like tfh but I’m convinced they run their business like an all exclusive club to make more people want what they have which I hate but Im probably just overthinking it.

I have same problem but in the beginning I had to keep trying new vendors and strains because so many don't work for me, and still happens. I really want to get that DRHK3 but they don't take CC. I have way too much I'll never use too but a lot of it is blah but not all of it. I've even found that even one everyone loves like this one still doesn't do much for me. High tolerance maybe.

They don't. Ask them to test first so they get to know you, then maybe you'd be invited as one of their regulars. They're kratom is clean and strong.

Yes - I wrote elsewhere about it but I can't recommend it highly enough. While we often hear about this or that batch we can't miss... this is one I am SO glad I got. The 5 is okay, but can't really compare (and I won't get the 4 until this weekend to try).

Well brother, if you crack the code let me know. My only saving grace is my buddy who goes through it far more quickly than I. I can always sell him bags after I try it. Kind of a mini trading post where i can offload the stuff that doesnt quite speak to me. But yeah, I have alot of kratom stored up lol. Cant pass up new drops from my vendor fam!

I'm in a somewhat more difficult position in that I have to take my kratom in capsules and thus make it all into those. So I end up with a TON of kratom that I really can't put up on the Trading Post.

I've gotten to the point now where I seldom buy any more than 250 grams because, at 500 capsules and my rotation, that's enough for a decade of use. Every now and then I can't resist and buy more and then nearly always regret it - it would have to be super amazing for me to want more (recently I tested something like that but I don't know if or even when it might be available).

I hear you, making up caps makes it tougher to offload that excess. I have a hard time not buying when I know new drops are live. Its a problem. But I have successfully put myself on the sidelines until i finish open bags from time to time.

I grabbed some of the heavenleaf dark room stuff along with some of the wild strains from lonestar but same supplier. Probably gotta cool it for a hot minute! Or so I tell myself lol.

I noticed a lot of vendors are on vacation for 4th of July. I went to DTE to see if I could scrounge for that last bag of red today, and of course on payday it is gone one day after it was there, but there was a banner up stating they are on Vacay from the 1st-5th. I feel like lots of people--from the medical establishment here, to vendors, to others that don't have PTSD and hide from fireworks--are on vacation. I will let you know, since I probably am going to place a TFH order for this Mystic Muna I know nothing about...

Back when we got stimulus checks I used every one of them on kratom. Saving would have been smart but I have a PhD and therefore I'm not very smart. I ordered freely and with reckless abandon. It was a beautiful time. I get it though. My budget is like a 19th century corset that made white women fall down on the fainting couch daily. Literally though, I have a journal of shit I actually really want and it is practically pornography. This is to say, if I had the bux--cancer treatment for my spouse has really put a nail into my dollar--I would have everything. EVERYTHING I TELL YOU.

Mr. Kelley, I keep hearing about these dark rooms and apparently they are out of this vortex. Is there a dark red room you can recommend? I mean, I don't like fermentation so if the dark red room is dark because of fermentation I pass, but this stuff from Heavenleaf and Lonestar with their dark rooms is supposed to be out of effing control. I was wondering about one that is red.

My whole life is a dark red room, so I think we'd get along perfectly.

If you have the means go buck wild and in a will, leave any extra kratom to the community or something like that. I don't think it is a bad thing. You want to avoid same strain syndrome and what could be more perfect than constantly changing it up? My problem is that if I fall in love with something, try as I might, I'm taking it non-stop until I'm scraping the empty bag with a toothpick. That has nothing to do with not having a range but just some OCD. If I had the means, I'd have a closet so full of kratom that the door wouldn't close. Instead, my closet is like that from all the clothes I bought when I was working and wasn't sick...I was a vain MF...but kratom then was NOT what it is today. Otherwise, I'd have less clothes I don't wear and makeup and I would like a dark room instead now.

I went to DTE to see if I could scrounge for that last bag of red today, and of course on payday it is gone one day after it was there, but there was a banner up stating they are on Vacay from the 1st-5th. I feel like lots of people--from the medical establishment here, to vendors, to others that don't have PTSD and hide from fireworks--are on vacation. I will let you know, since I probably am going to place a TFH order for this Mystic Muna I know nothing about...

If you have the means go buck wild and in a will, leave any extra kratom to the community or something like that. I don't think it is a bad thing. You want to avoid same strain syndrome and what could be more perfect than constantly changing it up? My problem is that if I fall in love with something, try as I might, I'm taking it non-stop until I'm scraping the empty bag with a toothpick. That has nothing to do with not having a range but just some OCD. If I had the means, I'd have a closet so full of kratom that the door wouldn't close. Instead, my closet is like that from all the clothes I bought when I was working and wasn't sick...I was a vain MF...but kratom then was NOT what it is today. Otherwise, I'd have less clothes I don't wear and makeup and I would like a dark room instead now.

I know you are not asking me, but I have 250 grams of the Heavenleaf Wild Red Kali, and so I can report back a little information on it. It is a lightly fermented Red, darker than your average Red in color, and with all the cushiony luxury and warmth of a typical fermented Red, but with more U4ia. It's very nice, but I like lightly fermented Reds, bearing in mind that you have to up your dose a little bit above normal.

The Heavenleaf "Wild" series however is not the same as the "Darkroom" strains. There are only two of the latter available at present, the DRHK3 and the DRHK4. I have no idea where Kelleytoons got the DRHK5, but it's not now generally available. There might be an additional Dark Room strain available in the near future, but not right now. The DRHK4 feels more like particular type of Red to me, but it has a distinctive blissed out character all its own.

At any rate, no matter how much kratom you have, you don't have enough if you don't have any DRHK3 or DRHK4. I should note that the DRHK3, despite behaving like a super duper Green, has more pain relieving qualities than any kratom I've ever had.

Just to add a few things:

I got the DR5 from the vendor direct - they were nice enough to give me, I think, about 200 grams of what they had left. It convinced me to get the 3, and then the 4.

I will agree the 3 is quite unique - I am a "red" kind of guy (because, originally, I was taking kratom mostly for pain relief and didn't need it to do much of anything else) and while I have both greens and whites reds make up about 65% of my rotation. And I agree that EVERYONE needs DRH3 regardless of their preference in "colors". As we all know, colors are actually pretty meaningless most of the time, unless you are dealing with vendors who categorize strictly by effects. And while my favs in the past have ALWAYS been reds, this green is better than any of them. I would say that missing out on it is a BIG mistake - it's everything everyone wants in kratom.

Not to oversell, but I have never bought more than 500 grams of any particular batch. And I bought 1250 grams of the DR3. I just do NOT want to ever run out of this, despite the fact I may never get around to making that extra kilo into capsules (but at least I have it).

Really? I didn't use kratom more than a couple years ago. Ive read kratom isnt as good these days as it was like..idk?? 8...10 yrs ago?

Eh...there are still some fire batches out there. That's kinda what this site is all about. We all take that gamble and if there is a super duper one, people talk about it.

It's not a matter of better or worse, more just DIFFERENT. There are lots of plantations now, and if they are on the up and up (ie not using premature leaves to fulfill orders and so on,) then the results can be controlled somewhat. This means (I assume and hope) that one batch of Red Aceh is going to be very much like the last or the one after. Isn't that what we are after to some degree?

Wild leaves will always be more interesting, though, and I think THAT'S what's missing these days. So it ends up being a trade of sorts. Some vendors have folks that bring the unique stuff to the table, nonetheless. Denette's last Red Border comes to mind. That stuff is just plain unique and amazing. There are more, TFH Baik Hutan for instance. You just have to look and listen.

I wouldn't disdain today's kratom outright as there are gems.
