Problem was this was being marketed as a 'dietary supplement' I think.

Tried it once when I still did greens and it was SUPER strong. I only drank half. At least they do put kratom in there, I have always kinda wondered.

The products were marketed under the brand name “Feel Free Plant Based Herbal Supplement,” according to the statement.
Probably all the same scumbags.
I'm getting a paywall now, but they also mention "Botanic Tonics"which looks like the blue shit company. Why the bust though if kratom is legal in Utah?
"and other ancient plants." Hahahahaha! Fuck off!

Mivanqua, it's Oklahoma - but I think it's legal there too.
Ah well. Doesn't sound like the guy(s) is much to talk about (in any good way).

Re: Kratom products valued at more than $3 million seized in Tulsa, federal officials say
Ain’t the feel free stocked by wonderland gardens. I just ordered some Mulungu extract to try along with some Kratom extract. I threw a bottle of feel good without thinking much because I read the mg amounts, and they were super high. Kratom plus kava plus it was like 9 bucks. I just got it mostly out of curiosity because it was their bestseller product. I honestly plan to somehow build an apocalypse stash of good herbals even though I’m broke. As long as my state keeps it legal for a couple more year I will be fine but i can’t buy 200 kilos, and ounces of extract to last me a lifetime all at once. So I’m hoping to have time to accumulate a killer stash of Kratom. To the point I never buy it again unless I just see something special, and want it. I didn’t know it had this much money in the industry to where they can seize such high dollar amounts. Kratom is definitely getting more popular which is not all good because now more eyes are watching, and paying attention now when earlier they didn’t really seem to care. Though there are many benefits also like better selection/product.

Sounds like they were warned...if they had 2 inspections and didn't follow instructions they were kind of asking to be shut down. This is still unfortunate and not a good look for kratom but I don't have a ton of sympathy for them. The seizure follows two FDA inspections at the business, one in fall 2022 and the other on Wednesday, according to the complaint.

Property owner on a private island in Puget Sound. A tree was blocking his view of the western strait.
End result was half the island didn't have power for a few days.
We sobered up, got on the ferry and went home.

Yeah i mean i agree somewhat to that guy's post about the industry. Its nearly entirely full of people doing stuff the wrong way, which is dangerous for customers and the industry overall. So many vendors are dishonest people lying to make a dollar. The whole pharma grade co packer is actually probably the right way, but thats just to have all your checks checked off and your butt covered. If your selling products to masses you have to use a copacker for liability reasons. Typically with any other products you can push liability off onto the co packer during a lawsuit for foreign object in powder or any other lawsuits about the product. Sadly since kratom isnt approved for consumption almost all the legit copackers dont touch kratom nor want that product in their building, as its a high risk for them getting into trouble themselves. When he posted talking about the industry it was even worse then it was now. Hence the huge salmonella outbreak. I suspect there's still ecoli and salmonella issues today but at a lower scale. The Indonesian wholesalers fixed this problem for the most part, not the American's selling the powder. Now all the powder imported by sea containers is gamma treated and "clean" (containing dead salmonella or ecoli. )
Their trouble most likely started with importing and getting caught importing kratom, but since this company was so large they had their products in 10-30,000 stores. They might have just gotten into trouble because their presence was so huge, but its a little funny OPMS didnt get into trouble, which makes me revert back to them importing as the leading cause of their troubles.
The whole NFHC will not hold up in court, so i dont know how much more needs to be said about that. You will have to convince a judge or jury you weren't selling for consumption. The Prosecutor will spend a dozen or two man hours of researching you to prove your lying to everyone under oath. It only takes one post, one comment, one un-removed comment from a customer to prove. I dont see the outcome of that going over to well.

The FDA is the biggest problem in this fight. It is rumored that it's them (FDA) that encourages states to ban kratom. They've been doing it for years and are pissed because they can't regulate kratom by law, nor can they convince the DEA to schedule it.
