I had the same lack of effects with the Putussibau & Bunut, I use low servings so maybe these take more? - will give another go in a couple of weeks
I enjoy the Green Forest Borneo though - that seems like a nice Green, mid + spec

Same here with the G Bunut. The Jade Hulu was fairly decent for me though. Sounds like you and I might have similar reactions to leaf.

My TFH order arrived this evening, 5 mins after I took my second (last) dose of the day! Oh well. Will start trying things tomorrow, prob with that Green Forest first!

Hehe good reply. Ok well I get the upper-mid-low spec now. Low-spec im assuming is full on "relaxing" and "sedating" type effect. What's a good example of a really low-spec strain/batch? I'm not sure I get what a "fast-spec" is though. Is a fast white like it just comes on real quick and leaves real quick type deal?

As for my dose. I dose a lot more but am still trying to figure out what works best for me. I'll also start by saying I haven't even dosed with what double M would call "top shelf kratom" yet. I started with local smoke shop brands and most brands did next to nothing as expected. I found only one shop brand that was actually good and stuck with that for awhile (a green MD). Then I got some samples sent out from some different double M vendors that I am still working on so that's where i'm at now. I haven't even gotten around to TFH/denette/STH type brands yet but I can't wait.

If I am coming off of a break I will start with 3g. And then it slowly goes up and then hovers between 5-6g depending on batch/vendor and other factors like time of day and empty stomach. Actually today I had a small lunch and then an hour later, because I had eaten, I upped a dose to around 6.5-7g to test it. It hit me like a freight train I felt high for the first 20-30min and then on and off waves of pretty bad nausea for the next 30-40mins. And then back to a normal kratom "feel" as it wore off. So even with food there is a fine line I gotta watch out for going too much.

I also just got this ordered that i'm gonna work with: Turmeric Curcumin with BioPerine 1500mg - Natural Joint & Healthy Inflammatory Support with 95% Standardized Curcuminoids for Potency & Absorption - Non-GMO, Gluten Free Capsules with Black Pepper.. Supposed to help with tolerance ect. Everyone doses kratom for different reasons. You said you use it for pain I think? Yeah I use it more for calm, focus, and mood lift.

“Fast” for me is just a really energizing batch, and yes, sometimes they do tend to have shorter legs so I guess kinda fast in that way too. Some folks find those batches anxiety-provoking, but I’ve always liked stimulants (tho my stimulant use is pretty limited to coffee and Kratom these days).

Also, Fused Flora recently had a really good post (a repost I think) on Tumeric. If you search it here you should find it pretty easily.

And yeah, I use Kratom largely for pain but I like it for all the reasons you mention as well. Very versatile leaf!!

I tried it for the first time this morning and am really enjoying it. I took around 2g and found it to be mid+, some energy there, but a very smooth feel to it that had a nice effect on my anxiety and definitely on my mood.

Specifically: I'd received some funky medical news yesterday evening and was feeling kinda freaked out when I woke up, and when the kratom hit, I really felt my edge sort of softening up and I just started feeling better. It was quite notable. So the mood boost component on this one was really present, and I got a little pain relief as well. I'm pretty sure that this is a batch that will hold up well in my regular rotation; it checks a lot of kratom boxes for me.

All of these were exceptional for me except the new 30 Year Wild White, and Traditional W Indo. The most potent out of them would be Afterburner, but I wouldn’t say it is the fastest. I would say Lightning was probably the fastest for me. I’m surprised I don’t see more people talking about the Top Shelf WMD, it’s one of my favorites. Incredibly clean and crisp burn with wonderful uplift. Both Bali Blitz and Rimbun Rimba are fantastic as well though I would call them mid to slightly upper-mid.

It's all SO subjective - I liked the 30 year WW, but to me the Top Shelf WMD was a meh. So it's VERY hard to categorize these things.

(Although I agree with you the Rimbun is fantastic, and Afterburner is potent. Afterburner lasts the longest of almost any white I've taken, with the exception of Oties Elephant).

White Lightning for sure, and Afterburner Bali. I also thought the 30yr red Hangat hulu was faster feeling, or uplifting at least. Same with the Baik Bali red Especial. The top shelf WMD sedates me and the Get Er Done green does too. I’ve tried playing with the dosages, but it’s all good, as long as they still hit

I highly recommend the jolly red giant (aka the soon-to-be legendary 707) and white lightning. for some reason the tfh greens haven't been hitting for me lately, but they have some fire whites. it's kind of weird, for me TFH strains either completely hit, or completely miss, no just average strains.

I know it's cliche, but body chemistry is a huge factor, and it changes over time. a couple months ago the wild green hulu was a 8 or 9 for me, but now the same batch isn't hitting. I always hold onto the misses though to try again in the future. as body chemistry changes, certain strains will start hitting out of nowhere. all of their leaf is seriously excellent quality, it's just a matter of finding the right match for you at that time.

Do yourself a favor and try TFH 30yr Hangat Hulu mixed with Otie’s White Elephant (3:1), it’s my all time best burn, been using it every other day for a few months and haven’t had a miss yet!

Yeah, the Hulu doesn't do a thing for me. But Otie's Elephant is just fine on its own, so I really don't need to mix.

And the mixing of something really good (like, say, Oties) with even a mediocre powder has already proven its worth in the thread I started a while back. In that thread I talked about how you can take some good stuff (at around 2/3 of your normal dose) and follow it up 30 minutes later with ANYTHING and, in general, this will always prove to be better. The only problem for this for me is that 30 minutes later I'm usually distracted and too busy to remember <g>.

So you *might* just try it - take the Otie's (again, at 2/3) and then take some mediocre powder that hasn't worked for you yet about 30 minutes later. You might surprise yourself with the results (a good way to stretch the "meh" stuff).

I liked White Rimbun Rimba Kali a lot - even better than Afterburner (I say "liked" because I'm a little off on using whites nowadays, since I can't play tennis until I have my surgery and recover - so a few months from now).

I’ve only had it a couple of times so far but Green Dreamz is an excellent end of the day type kratom. Looks and tastes oxidized so don’t expect a strong green color but it is still slightly green. Huge mood boost and very relaxing
