Don't shoot the messenger but... sometimes bulk vendors hit it out of the park

So as I'm packing up my pills (to try and organize things before my surgery) I come across a bottle from New Dawn. These were vendors mentioned here (of all places) by a guy who said they were his "guilty pleasure" in that, as a bulk vendor they still hit it out of the park. So I ended up ordering. A lot. And that was my main vendor until my world expanded in oh so many ways (all the usual suspects you guys know and love).

Just for a lark I decided to take a couple of grams (four capsules) before I packed the bottle away. Holy crap - there's a reason I put a "5" on the bottle top (my highest rating). This Green Malay (absolutely NO WAY of knowing what batch it was, or even particularly when I bought it other than over a year ago) was the best green I've had. Period. And this was in the middle of the day when I had eaten an hour previous (so stomach not particularly empty) and had had a ho-hum experience with some Rhino earlier in the morning.

I'm not even sure how to process this. I have a TON of unopened bags from New Dawn I had just decided to put in the garage and not even make into capsules (yeah, that doomsday stash, although I honestly have enough pills to last the rest of my life). And my mind is now reeling - should I revisit all the ones I made from ND? And even (horrors) make pills out of the ones I never opened up?

Perhaps this is just one of those "you haven't taken it in a while, it's SO different from TFH, Rhino, Denette, et. all that it just hit you from a different direction but you shouldn't go nuts over this one test." But I have to admit I'm shaken. I will need to think about this for a while.

There is definitely fire from “bulk” vendors. No doubt.

New Dawn started out great in 2021. However in the summer of that year quickly declined to some of the most disgusting tea i’ve ever seen or tasted. I’m talking about stuff so nasty that i couldn’t feel ok giving it away. Vladmir has struggled to keep the quality, and time and time again falls short. I do remember getting a couple fire bags before it went downhill though. It’s a gamble for sure. I’m not giving them another chance. I do believe you though that it was fire! I think the one i had that was also was the G thai.
Had it again in 2022 and i just couldn’t drink it.
Really it comes down to if you esteem freshness and potency alike, or just potency.

Hard to say exactly when I bought it - I'd be guessing around October 2021, but it could have been before that. I do know that once folks turned me on to the vendors here I never bought from ND again.

And all my stuff is in capsules, so there's no real way of knowing "freshness" or not (I guess when I first put it into capsules I might know, but some of these were made so long ago I have almost no memory). It was just an interesting experience that made me rethink what I'm going to do with all the stuff I do have (still sealed in bags - so either I just keep it for a "whatever" day, or make into capsules. No real rush to decide, though).

yeah just use your old stuff! Make a big bucket of random capsules, mix it all up, and take a handful of pills ! haha
I remember this one pizza delivery driver named Curt; that had serious back pain; he had in his car a bag of pills, sometimes he got so messed up he passed out in his car in the parking lot. the police came and asked him if he was ok (he was out of it) but he said he took too much of his “prescription medicine” lol

When I was taking a lot of (prescribed) Vicodin I had a lot of it in unmarked containers in my tennis bag (smaller things easier to store than the 90 pill ones my doc prescribed) and often joked that if the police pulled me over they would most likely arrest me.

I don't do that with kratom because it doesn't (for me, at least) act fast enough in capsules to overcome any urgent pain (anything else and I can wait until I get home). I think I still have a few Vicodin left in my bag if worse comes to worst.

Life is like a box of chocol...Broken clocks are right twice a day ? I've had some good kratom from some no-name vendors, and a bit of crap from some big name indie ones. It's always a crap shoot, could be one of a thousand little things and bad becomes good, or good becomes bad. The only bag I'm not going back to is the one had a crunchy sandy grit in it, at the bottom of my cup. It also didn't really even hit, and so after 2 tries it went into the 97% not-trying-again box. <-It's a small box, most kratom is at least acceptable, if not-thrilling.

With the above being said, I just ordered from.. just250's, the deal is fantastic, couldn't resist. Any thoughts about that bulk vendor?

Honestly a lot of kratom from some of the bigger brands I just prefer. I've tried lots of the small batch vendors that frequently get praise on here and I just seem to like brands like Kats botanicals, Golden Monk, Harvest Kratom more, they just work better for me and I feel are overall more consistent. I also love New Dawn!
