my history ordering in canada

Post by BuddyCole »

Since there seems to be a paucity of information about kratom in Canada, here is my ordering history.

I am no connoisseur so no elaborate reviews. I will just say that for every order I received something that looked, smelled and tasted like kratom, in the correct quantity, which had the desired effects. I order split kg in a random selection of colors. If there is a choice between cheap and expensive I usually go cheap though at the beginning I probably got "super" or whatever once or twice.

Below priced in Canadian dollars including any shipping and taxes. Price for 1 kg in bold. Not all vendors in business anymore but included for historical price info.
  • 2019 June
    kratomsource.ca
    $319.05 ($159.50/kg)
    2 x 4 Strain Kilo Variety Pack (8x250g)
  • 2020 May
    BC Kratom
    https://bckratom.com
    $315.28 ($157.64/kg)
    2 x 4 Strain Kilo Variety Pack (8x250g)
hope this is useful to someone. :)

Thanks for this! We sometimes get people in here looking to order from Canada and I'm never quite sure what to recommend or which vendors to point them to. Now we have a nice list!

What is the legality of kratom in Canada?

Sometimes people ask about ordering from the US to Canada, I think there is a limit on quantity?

Thanks so much for this. What was your experience like with Vancouver Botanical? How was the kratom, and are there any strains you would recommend?

thank you!

BC Kratom is double the price of Vancouver Botanicals.

I was moments away from a purchase with BCK and found this post.

VB offers a 4x250g option that is over half the price of BCK. I like that fact that BCK guarantees 1.5%+ on some blends but the price difference is difficult to ignore.

I hopeful the quality from VB doesn't suffer.

thanks again!

Hey guys, I'm also from Canada and would like to post some of my experiences with some of the online stores.
I live in Southern Alberta.

My go to place for a couple years straight was Terra Botanical, but they shut down half way through Covid.
They offered Kilos, shipped for $185. Which is a little expensive but the quality was always top notch.

My favorites from Terra were the Green Maeng Da and the Red Horn, which is a little hard to find now days.

After Terra shut down, I ended up going with Canada Kratom Express for the next 8ish months.
They offer split kilos of "regular" strains for around $165.
And then split "super" strains for around $177.

Favorites from CKE include their regular Red Bali, which is always pretty good, and also Super Red Borneo was also very good and quite potent.

Next up is Kratom source. I only used them a couple times before they also shut down in the middle of Covid.
If I recall correctly, their prices were around $145 for shipped, split kilos
I can't remember exactly how I split my kilos from there, but it was the first place I tried a Bent, which did not work well for me.
I think they were the first place (AFAIK) to offer powdered extract, which I chose NOT to buy because I knew it would shoot my tolerance through the roof, which was already pretty high at this point.

I'm currently waiting for a split kilo from Vancouver Botanical. I used their 30% off coupon for new customers, which is why I chose them
Red bali, Red Maeng Da and Gold blend will be in my order and perhaps I will review them when it gets here.

I'm also waiting, saving for the open event from Texas Family Harvest on the 25th, PRAYING that he ships to Canada.
I'm beyond stoked for this and will feel disappointed if he cannot ship here :(

Sorry the formatting is not very good for this post as I'm short on time today and this is only my second post on these forums.
I'm so glad I found this place! A very welcoming community.

I especially loved reading Gumby's behind the scenes thread, which really opened up my eyes to how the industry is run.

Hi there - I'm following up on this post to see how you made out. How was Vancouver Botanical? Any luck with TFH? I'm from Canada as well and my experience has been similar to yours over the past year.

Would any of you Canada types wanna do a Canadian kratom for American kratom trade? Is that legal? I assume so. Could be fun, Although I suspect the Canada recipient would make out better, quality wise. I would offset the difference in price with vintage strains here and there, of course, or a few more strains. PM me if interested and this is legal.

I have TFH going back 2ish years
.
Split regular 165 or split super 177? Why bother for 12 bucks? Kinda funny.
