Black Friday Update - Texas Family Harvest (TFH)

Thanksgiving Update
Hey Everyone - I just wanted to leave an update to inform folks that we will NOT be doing a one-day open order event or Black Friday special this year

. We really, really, wanted to do one, but we just don't have the bandwidth to manage it. My two little ones and I got sick this week leaving Angie to run both operations (home and business)... she is one amazing lady! At any rate, holding any kind of open event it requires a lot of work on the front end to prepare or else it will be an unmitigated disaster.
I do hope and will work hard to be able to hold some kind of mini-event between now and the end of the year - even if its maybe just open for a weekend or even one day. I will post here to announce when that will be.
For Members - We will finally be adding the long-awaited for "
30 Year Wild Red Hangat Hulu" to the menu on Black Friday! This is the "red" cousin to our 30-Year Wild JAde Hulu that so many of you are fans of (same area of trees, different cure). It's a great batch! Note that we expect a much higher volume than normal of orders this weekend, so please be a little more patient than usual with our response time, thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Chris

Yay! I’ve been waiting for the doors to open. So happy! Thank you so much for the opportunity. You’ll hear from me soon thru email. Going to read some reviews on here and decide on what to get. If anyone can chime in and give me a few suggestions, I would very much appreciate it.

I just picked my favorite "color," searched Double M for reviews and got a little bit of everything I could afford. Still haven't opened a bunch of them.
I literally started a "TFH Open House fund" for these occasions

Correct - we will get everything processed this week and it will ship the morning of Monday, March 9th. In the event that time allows us to ship orders early we will - but we can't commit to that happening.
Thanks!

We are ready for it! We had an unusually very high clearance rate of our last round of testing so we are stocked to the brim! That will probably change soon though.

I still have some un-opened from last buy, its like a sin to open such nicely air vacuumed bag. Its like i dont want to spoil it with air while wishing it to last longer to preserve the freshness. Def lots of time and care been put into that.

Ha! I think the same thing when I open a TFH bag. Like this package can survive the zombie apocolypse. Why am I opening it?

Exactly! That's what makes this particular drop so important.

Kind of true - kind of not. I only know of 3 sources to get Malaysian kratom, all three of them are in the northern half of Peninsular Malaysia (West Mainland). They actually have a much different rainfall pattern, January, February, and March are actually ideal conditions in one of the specific locations. We took a stab at with two varieties in late January and it just didnt come close to what we would consider for the menu... nothing we got would be worthy of the "True-Malay" designation. I think we jumped the gun, we are going to try again in March week 3 if the weather plays to our plan.
I do have a stockpile of some "Red True-Malay" that I have been sitting on for a while, but I haven't even tried it. The person I got it from was not very transparent in their practice, so I am hesitant to try it myself. After learning what I have learned about kratom production - I am extremely particular with how kratom is produced. I won't be doing anything with it until I can get all the labs run on it - I just haven't gotten around to it. (No - I will not let anyone be a "guinea pig"... please dont ask, lol)
Regarding the "rainy season" in general - you can still get a good leaf, it's just on average no going to be as good. What this means is if you have a certain threshold of quality that needs to be met, you can expect that a lower percentage of batches are going to meet that standard. We call this KPI our "clearance rate". With our January harvest, we had an extremely unusually high clearance rate, which means more batches than normal scored high enough to make our menu. This is actually what led to our Double M open-order event! We have many more products that qualified for the menu than we forecasted - so who better to share it with? In a perfect world, we would be open to the entire Double M community all the time, but we aren't there yet. Our hope is to eventually get there, but our core mission will not be sacrificed to make it happen. I, fortunately, have a sure-fire career to fall back on if TFH doesn't work out - a man with options is a man with who can stick to his guns.
The volume and frequency of rainfall play a heavy role in the tree's production of secondary metabolites, but there are some specific situations in which rainfall will improve kratom. Hands down - the best batches of kratom we can make happen with the help of rainfall - but that only applies during a very specific weather pattern. Outside of that, the constant rainfall generally works against the desired production of secondary metabolites. There is also a whole different set of challenges with rainfall and those pertain to the drying process. The humidity can put a wrinkle in ideal drying conditions. While there are methods to offset it somewhat - most producers simply dont implement them.
We have been working all year on different techniques that could replicate the conditions I mention above, but we just haven't come up with a practical solution. As time went on we accepted that we would need to stockpile during the dry season to offset the lower clearance rate we expect during the rainy season. We have a huge assortment of the product on hand right now - our plan is to slowly release batches over the next several months. However, we are still very much going to produce batches all year - we just expect a lower percentage of those will make the menu. The ones that do make the menu will be every bit as good as you would expect from us any other time. With that, if you are TFH member and are buying a ton of kratom right now during this event because you think this is the last shot of high-quality - dont. I mean we love to have your business, but it's not necessary... our leaf will be the same quality year-round. If you are not a TFH member, we plan to probably do another event around July/August/September... you will get more opportunities in the future.
What I know is people could care less of when a leaf was harvested.... they only care about the overall quality. That is ultimately the premise in which we are operating by

.

Hey Guys,
Does anyone know what payment methods are accepted? I don't want to place an order and then find out I don't have a way to pay for it.
Thanks!

You can email them and ask.... Unfortunately we cannot allow public discussion of payment methods here, sorry!! It is to protect the vendors that we have all come to know and love.

Hey Chris, I think it's awesome you're providing us this opportunity. by chance do you have a way of testing any of the products where's my NJ you manufacture.b I do live in a state where it is legal m Also what sizes do they come in The ones I used came in 150 and 300; and wern phenomenal. If those are anything like the ones from before then I'm sold. Is there any leniency with payment options or is it set in stone?! Darcy from discord recommended me but I've known the guy that works at a Florida for a 5 years. Maybe we can p.m. later and talk details m,,?! I'd be interested in a few more specific questions it's not going through.! Mods if anything in this post broke the rules please still need it and I will send it to him in a p.m. thank you very much.

Gumby, I just wanted to say thank you for the treasure trove of info in response to my theory and tell you why i said that. It's because they are, legally speaking, new to the kratom game and should be/are probably trying to be somewhat consistent with quality (according to my theory, that is.) The novelty alone will work once, but if nobody likes it, the money will stop. For instance, true Thai leaf is just green powder to me. Does nothing. Why? No clue. I got a little from hippie when I bought that legendary yellow indo and I tried it once and not anymore. I know I should keep trying it, and maybe one day I will, but for now it sits in the "inert kratom" box. Just thought I'd elaborate slightly.

If anyone still hasn't put the order in, the 30 year red Hulu was pretty darn good. It's a mid-range red but hit the spot for evening relaxing without going straight to bed. And the deep jungle maeng was very good too. You could tell it was made with mature leaves. A full bodied experience kind of like a green malay

Its funny you mention that - I was just telling my wife the same last night and how it was funny that nobody is buying them. So many gems are being missed just because nobody has mentioned them here, haha!
