Texas Family Harvest?
What is the deal with this seemingly phantom entity ? I’ve read multiple reviews on here, and yet, cannot seem to find a single thing that verifies it’s actual existence. Help?

At the moment, they're a private invite only vendor. They ask for testers occasionally, so if you see one of those posts I'd recommend jumping at the chance to try them. TFH kratom is beyond outstanding, and they truly care about their customers. You won't find a better vendor.

So, if they’re private, and no one can actually order the product, then why post lengthy reviews? Seems pretty cruel/elitist, no?

He’s actually a very well respected member who is private so he can maintain quality control. But he does send out free samples to nearly 30 people on here every month so they can test for him. He has talked about slowly opening up to members of double M in the future but he wants to maintain quality at the same time.ComeBackLucy1978 wrote:So, if they’re private, and no one can actually order the product, then why post lengthy reviews? Fair question. Ask the person who posted a public "Review" for a private vendor.ComeBackLucy1978 wrote:So, if they’re private, and no one can actually order the product, then why post lengthy reviews?
Are you saying, we should have Rules? Guidelines? lol - MM is big on "No Censorship", which is generally good, but also.. a Money situation with small vendors- buying and selling- naturally creates competition.. Goes with the territory? Who's a "vendor".. And of course every vendor is different..

Re: Texas Family Harvest?
Hey Lucy - welcome to Double M! I'm Chris from TFH. I'm sorry for the confusion around our operation, and I appreciate your inquiring. No doubt if you have the question there are probably many others that do as well.ComeBackLucy1978 wrote:What is the deal with this seemingly phantom entity ? We are a small private vendor who is focused more on research and quality than gaining market share. We never intended to create a business of this, we really just got started out of frustration on how inconsistent kratom was. When I started going down the rabbit hole, it became a kind of a personal challenge to figure out. That challenge turned into an obsession, and that obsession cost a lot of money
I really value this community and hope our operating model doesn't come across as "elitist" or put a bad taste in anyone's mouth. We just want to do the right thing for our existing customers and be able to promise high-quality batches no matter what they choose. There are a handful of folks in the community we serve, but we hope to eventually be able to share what we have been working on so hard on with anyone here who is interested.
In the interim, if you are ever interested in volunteering as a batch tester, we would love to have your help! All batch feedback is submitted via a private online survey - no need to submit any kind of public review
Thanks again for the question, I hope that clears up what we are about.

Hey Lucy - your post has inspired my wife and I to think of some way we can share with the whole community at least once. We really appreciate the contributions that everyone he has made towards our efforts, we would like to figure out a way to share where those efforts have gotten us so far.
The last thing I want is for it to come across like we are snobs or some kratom elitists... I promise its nothing like that. Everything we are working on is in good faith and we genuinely believe it will benefit the whole community in the long-run.
We are not ready to open our membership to the whole community, but if anyone has any ideas for a fun idea for sharing lets us know!

Re: Texas Family Harvest?
A reminder that MANY kratom vendors, operate with a Private Membership website!
- Long history from DG Botanicals, Kratom Syndicate, Fresh Alternative, Smiley Time, others...
- Vendors have limited Supply, and it seems there is unlimited Demand, for high quality!
- Vendors want to validate their Buyers, due to grey market Legal situation/ FDA threats.
- Online kratom business, Payments, competitors who attack other vendors' payments

Maybe you can run a digital art competition where the winners get to try your kratom. I know that kratom helps some people be more creative and motivated so maybe it would be cool and pretty interesting considering many people here enjoy kratom. I definetely feel like some kratom strains stimulate my creativity and motivation. There are a lot of free art programs/apps out there to use, for example Krita.
You can have like 4 winners based on purely the creativity aspect and 4 winners based on the overall art, and or any other category your want. You choose however many possible winners you want and whatever ratio. Maybe it can be the Christmas Art Competition.

With all the TFH testers here, I just see those posts as people comparing notes. I enjoy reading everyone's opinions on the different strains and hearing what worked and what didn't. To me, MM isn't just a place to go to find a good vendor, it's a place to go to talk to other like minded people who all appreciate the leaf and want to learn and share their thoughts and experiences.ComeBackLucy1978 wrote:So, if they’re private, and no one can actually order the product, then why post lengthy reviews? TFH is doing some amazing things, and I don't see their private status as intentionally elitist or cruel. They're a top shelf vendor who puts a crazy amount of thought and energy into providing the best product and the best customer experience possible. The only way they can keep that high standard is by limiting their customer base.

. I like it but I worry it's a little too narrow in scope - if I were asked to do that, forget it... not happening. Maybe we can do some kind of other contest or just free giveaways during the 12 days of Christmas. You just sparked an idea... thanks!
It would be a perfect Christmas gift, some nicee kratom, under the Christmas tree, next to the fireplace, with a cup of hot chocolate, all nice and warm

I have only tested for Gumby once. And yes all strains were top notch. I agree though it is almost like a tease. So many amazzzzing reviews. And I know I can’t get my hands on his fine leaf. Only maybe some more tester samplers in a month. I think all of the reviews I’ve read are just people testing though. Where are the members? Are there any?!? I’ll be one! Above his fine leaf I really respect him more for all he has done for us kratomites. From what I’ve seen he’s done more testing and research than any of us on any forum. Or maybe anyone in general. I would love to support his service by buying his kratom. I know he’s working hard and wants to find a way to allow more members soon. I just hope I don’t miss that opportunity. So how ever it works I hope it’s a fair chance. I really have no suggestions for it. But I’ll think hard once this burn hits!

Okay - so I have been a little self-conscious now about how our operation comes across. For a while my wife and I have been brainstorming something we could do about this. Im excited to share that something is coming! Check out the vendors section for a Special Announcement regarding an event we will hold this holiday weekend!

The reviews were more of a shared experience kind of thing, a way to discuss with likeminded individuals. I still think that Gumby does the testing more for our benefit, as an excuse to allow us to try out and share in his passion. It’s really changed the way I view customer service and quality product. Hopefully you get an opportunity to experience m, and it sounds like something awesome is in the works soon!ComeBackLucy1978 wrote:So, if they’re private, and no one can actually order the product, then why post lengthy reviews? Man, i know i seen post earlier many time for tester, i am tempted to try as well... I am always hunting for high quality. If there is any spot left for testers, let me know?
Also I had an idea, i know many of us like Photoshop, what if you tell us what you want general idea, a logo for your small privet research group. Maybe share certain pics you want them to be in a logo. Or general texts with pictures to choose from for your logo. Make us work a little with creativity..

Re: Texas Family Harvest?
Really great videos and info. I was a regular redditor in 2016/2017 when that was still a decent forum. We been living off of the many kilos purchased in those years and are down to jars of mixed stuff. We were regulars of Dg and some other vendors from the KC site and tried just about everyone on the reddit sub before it turned into something different. Eventually we got into the elusive herb research. I see a few of past quality vendors here that I dealt with and a ton of new ones. I think of how many hours I spent reading posts and trying strains for a couple years and wow.
I came here looking for past vendors or those who have quality product and after watching your videos and reading a bunch, was bummed to see that its not possible to buy from what looks like the vendor who is really in the supply chain. I absolutely understand having quality be the mission and also being able to maintain a good operation vs just being a big company. Is there a way to get on a list? I dont care much about samples unless thats what may come available but being able to buy a kilo or 2 every once in a while.
I also fell down a familiar hole of reading about kratom for hours.
Were You TFH, active on reddit back then? Glad someone is doing some real work to see whats happening at the supply source. Back in the oldish days I remember badger was putting a bunch of info out that Id previously not seen and this goes much farther. I still have a bunch of whole leaves that I got back then. Perhaps I should be figuring out how to grind those up.
Somehow I missed the sticky so Ive sent an email after this post. Thank you, very cool

TFH sounds like exactly what many of us have been looking for, myself included. Kratom has helped me in a year to completely turn my life around, and I am in a position now where I am in major need of a vendor that really believes in the consistency and quality of their products. I totally agree with the TFH post above. There is nothing elitist about structuring your business in a way that puts the focus on providing quality product to the existing customer base. That is trailblazing in an industry that is taking advantage of the unregulated nature of the business. Please keep setting a good example for other vendors! I look forward to one day having the privilege of sampling the fruit of your labor.

Re: Texas Family Harvest?
I haven't tried their kratom personally, and this might be a controversial opinion, but I'm 90% sure that its all a marketing ploy. Great kratom is everywhere right now. There are even some headshop brands that have become well respected and consistent. The whole "invite only" thing I don't buy. There was another "invite only" vendor a few years ago that went by the name "herb research" he had great kratom, but it was maybe slightly better than the competition. He also said his kratom for astronomical amounts of money, and people bought it. Not saying that TFH does, but it just reminded of it.
Again, no offense to TFH, and maybe my boomer kratom veteran side is showing too much, but just some food for thought to differ from the standard opinion.

It's not all hype, the kratom they offer is superior kratom in terms of strength and consistency. Customer service is A+.
You should trade or purchase some from the trading post and see how good tfh is.

Tfh is a high quality next level type of kratom. It helps someone like me (with chronic pain) to keep working. Depends on what you use kratom for but they seem to have a strain for everything ( pain relief, energy, depression, mood ect...)
Don't knock it until you have a chance to try it, for me all the strains I've tried worked

Yeah TFH is actually way more than the hype even makes them sound IMHO! And it's not just the quality of their products which don't get me wrong is most certainly top tier can't really be beaten quality.... But it's also their dedicated research, service, knowledge, and innovating type approach to the industry as a whole that helps them to stand out as such a different class of vendor!
Just my quick synopsis of the situation.

There's absolutely ZERO hype with TFH. I have a vast collection of TFH offerings and I've
NEVER had a miss...NOT ONE, and that is a rare occurrence!
I've been a kratom user for over eleven years and I'm 100% sure that there is absolutely
no hype when it comes to TFH quality and service. There are only a small handful of
vendors that are even close to the quality of leaf that TFH offers and TFH couldn't offer
better customer service! TFH is the REAL DEAL!
As far as pain relief, TFH leaf NEVER disappoints, whether it's a Red, Green, Yellow, White,
Gold or whatever, their leaf always delivers a knockout to pain!

As do all of us. But at the same time, that emergency might actually come soonerthan we think, and we'll all miss the "junk" we wasted. I feel like if an emergency happens and everything good is gone then our tolerance will lower and even the junk will start seeming okay.

One of the cool things TFH can do / is working on is keeping track of how you rate the different batches of their kratom and suggest batches you may like and steer you clear of batches which don't correlate with your past ratings.
TBH, I have had a few batches which didn't jive with me, but that's to be expected once in awhile. No problem trading it on the trading post here - what doesn't work for me may work for you.
Others have mentioned TFH testing - you get 10g of a few batches to try out and report on. I suggest you keep an eye out for these opportunities.

Yes, its true, even weak kratom will be fire. because your tolerance will drop majorly to the level of what ever you got left. Save it for the dark days, you never know when you will dip your nose.

See this is key phrasing here...burnmaster3000 wrote:I haven't tried their kratom personally, and this might be a controversial opinion, but
In all honesty, one CAN have a decently long career with kratom and never trip over the tier/quality TFH consistently delivers.
It does take a bit of elbow work to come across anything in this league. With it unlikely to stumble across such high end selections but once in a blue moon, it would be easy and justifiable to be skeptical of what is out there.
But to expand further, there is a reason the statement "for connesuriers by connesuriers" is associated phrasing. The TFH leaf isn't for the individual just taking kratom to get some energy or feel better- rather, it is for the individual who truly enjoys and finds fulfillment as a hobbyist appreciating the novelty of kratom itself. In other words, the true value isn't just in what TFH quality can do for the user but in how remarkably characteristic and signature the selections are in the scope of what kratom can be.
It absolutely must demand some real goddamn work on someones end to deliver a product such as TFH do. This is why they deserves every bit of praise they get- there is no way what they offer can possibly be an accident, luck or the result of anything other than dedication.
AND there exists a certain responsibility of the user to appreciate such appropriately that must be noted on this topic.
A close friend of mine loves his leaf based purely on what he hopes to gets out of it. He doesn't take any measure to assess or really appreciate this vs. that. He doesn't own a scale or care whether there is consistency in what he is swallowing whatsoever really. There is nothing wrong with that but he also is NOT the type of dude who is going to comprehend the true value of some leaf.
Conversely some people like myself and many others on this board, will really try to dial in with precision methodology to find the nuances and exceptional character of a strain. These are folks who are gonna measure, maybe even amend other aspects of their lifestyle (such as diet) to get a true experience along with the indulgence. They are a crowd who are gonna read and communicate to get crapohla that will sell out in a day. TFH consistently delivers kratom with the adoration of these peoples which is no small feet to accomplish.
I've become longwinded here, I am good at that sometimes
I implore you or anyone to open you're mind to the possibility of what can be with this remarkable plant and seek out a few fair rounds with TFH or do the hunting to uncover the gems out there in the wild.

There's perfectly good leaf and then there's the level tfh is at. I was extremely lucky to be invited to order from their last event even though I was just barely past the cut off point technically when I joined. Only kratom I've had that could actually get me through the process of weaning off suboxone treatment without any discomfort at all. I hate that I didn't purchase more then. When they next have an open event i'm planning to invest in kilo size quantities without a doubt, something i'd normally be hesitant to do.

Amen to this. I actually heard some of their leaf comes from NuGroz lol....burnmaster3000 wrote:I haven't tried their kratom personally, and this might be a controversial opinion, but I'm 90% sure that its all a marketing ploy.
Anyone that’s actually been to Indo & visited/stayed on a plantation, or gone & picked their own Kratom in the jungle, knows that these murican vendors are 99% sales tactic hype; “Private/exclusive/Uber premium/ancient leaf” etc.
“No one can order our leaf, but we urge the 6 people we’ve sold leaf to, to please spam review after review of said unavailable leaf” <<<<and look how much hype this age old marketing ploy has generated here on this website alone
The “invite only” nonsense is not only a complete joke, but especially ridiculous, given how active they are on public freaking forum, and considering how strongly they urge the aforementioned 6 people who’ve tried their leaf, to spam glowing reviews

They actually don't ask for reviews, that's each person's choice to post theirs. Just saying. Nothing wrong with a members only website, plenty of other ones exist. Smiley is usually members only. So is DG. Other examples exist. It does leave a bad taste in some people's mouth. This exact conversation has actually beenhad several times before, with gumbyke himself explaining himself. I won't speak for him though.
