Do we have a “Bad Vendors” list?

I don’t know who belongs on it. Bad faith vendors. Selling “legal high” crap. Grossly overpriced. Bunk leaf. Adulterated. Confirmed to be ripping people off. Etc... I think we should have a list to help new people.
Gaia?
Hippo?
Kracken?
Urban Ice?

Yeah, since you started this thread .... It's in the works. I could generate this tomorrow, based on Price Per Gram (PPG). For starters.
I mean the WORST vendors, are the worst rip-offs ... Then there's the subjective part. Reviews, which could be bogus, or not....
There's a dozen "vendors" OVER .50 cents PPG. For Example -
Kratom K. Price $148 for 8-ounces "Green Vein Hulu Kapuas" - 228 grams
Are those even REAL vendors? I think they're just
phishing websites. Phishing for suckers lol

But they’re “the number one importer of kratom in the USA.” They must be good.

OK check this out. The domain Kratom-K dot com... was registered in 2011
This is NOT a pop-up vendor... He's sold, probably millions $. Buying for $30 per kilo and Selling for $600. estimated, Ball Park figures!
So, the dude is a kratom millionaire, he's not the only 1 - Long history, taking advantage of the grey market .. Nothing personal. No need to name names, and yes these people are or were, involved with
AKA. I guess I'm a Democratic Socialist? IMO the Feds should grab his bank account, Tax him 90% and distribute the funds to local Mental Health Clinics!! But... Too many idiots voted for Trump.

I would assume maintaining a bad vendors list would be way more time consuming and liable to bias than just a regular approved vendor list. Also, how would one define bad? By price? By quality? By delivery time? These are all subjective, fixable problems and I don't feel its fair to outright shame a vendor because they want to charge a little more, they get a bad batch from their supplier, or their outbound deliveries gets delayed by forces out of their control. Thats just my 2 cents of course.
I mean, if someone is straight up scamming (fake companies taking money and then disappearing), then I agree that would definitely be considered bad and we need some kind of scam warning list for that.

Price is the 1 objective factor. I was a database programmer/ developer, before retirement so when the kratom vendor thing came up, 3 years ago and I noticed such a HUGE discrepancy between prices, head-shop and online... the rest is history I guess

So yeah, accurate price data was collected from > 300 online vendors.
To be fair, call it the "
Worst Price Rip-Off" Vendors List.. I agree with you,
Bad Vendors could mean anything, we've seen a few Low priced sellers get a LOT of complaints, too.. What's worse, paying 5X price for average kratom, or Low price for bunk? High price rip-offs don't get bad reviews, because they don't have too many customers.. Buyers are embarrassed to admit they got suckered.
Kratom is certainly ONE of the worst scams on the Internet.. that's crazy considering all the fake business deals, and phoney products sold online.. all the Boner Pills, remember the
Beta Sitosterol prostate pills, pushed by TV ads?

Over the last 2 years, Kratom has been a turn-key money maker.. throw up a website, very little investment needed.. just 2 years ago, it was openly sold on Amazon and Ebay.

Lots of variables involved, ,when it comes to quality, it's a grey area,,everyone has different opinions, ya know, ,what works for one doesn't work for others,, customer service, communication, etc. Is easier to identify as either great or horrible

I figured we could decide upon the criteria as a community and then work out which vendors belong in the list as a group... through discussion. I still believe it would be useful to new people. Even if the only vendors on the list are ones who have gone out of business or whatever like 7ohm (what happened to that guy, btw?).

My Fellow Kratomites,
This may be a surprise, but not everyone on here is a Bernie fan. I have nothing against anyone liking him, but.... but... if anyone on here said they liked someone else I expect it could be the focus of quite a few negative comments. I'd prefer this not become yet another political debate forum.

No surprise, I've seen your posts on r/The_Donald. It seems odd to me that within this last year of me posting here I have made a liberal-leaning comment twice, and both times you have been quick to pounce on me about it. You're the one debating the issue. Why not just let it be??

I do have to agree with
p4p4 to a large extent that politics should be left out of this forum as much as possible and really all public conversations..... along with sex, religion, abortion, and even most time vaccination! These topics become easily heated and no matter what are extremely controversial. This forum is supposed to be friendly, informative, and helpful not causing controversy and or lines to be drawn for people to choose sides of. So it has always been my upbringing and school of thought that these topics are plainly just not appropriate for a public setting and even at plenty of times don't even work out in company of friends/family either....
As stated why create teams and or sides to choose from when we are all here for a common reason/goal?? Can't we just keep it to that??

Personally, I'm not opposed to the idea. It's a "touchy" subject, for sure. Folks are mostly concerned about their $$, and they should be! No one wants to get ripped off. And some of the payment options do not protect you from Fraud. That's one concern. MY most immediate concern is QUALITY. Bunk kratom is one thing: dirty, infected, adulterated kratom is another. I don't want to ingest something processed, weighed and packaged in someone's filthy kitchen, bathroom or outdoor shed. Was it contaminated with pesticides, incomplete combustion (truck et. exhaust), old plastics, filthy hands & feet at harvest too?
Some of you have heard of Speciosa Republic (SR). I'm not going to leave a link, 'cause I don't want to be "that person." Google at your own... discretion. They claim to be a watchdog group that responds to "consumer complaints and concerns" but I have never found a CONTACT NUMBER. They want everyone to be "GMP Compliant" but they don't even bother to tell you what "GMP" means - sigh. They are also behind a lot the push for AKA, imo.
My own personal opinion: if you are having a problem with a vendor or their product, leave it in the "Review" forum. I have mentioned some problems with some kratom in the past. The first thing I am asked is "where did you buy it." People want to know, and they aren't afraid to ask. When I have answered I have tried to be completely honest about everything - INCLUDING what I might have done wrong.
I don't think anyone here wants to purposefully put some one out of business. I could be wrong. But fair is fair. Don't be afraid to post a review that is honest - good OR bad.

I just kind of assume at least one or more of these is the case and try not to think about it. As far as vendors bagging up kratom in their kitchen, what do most of us do when we're selling or trading on the Trading Post? I know I don't have a clean room, although I keep the area as clean as possible. Does anyone here have a clean room?
My idea of a bad vendor is consistent junk kratom, not the occasional not-so-good batch that many vendors will have from time to time, and outrageously inflated prices. Taking advantage of the newbies using Google to find their kratom.

I didn't mean to offend anyone here. Really.
I am immunocompromised. That doesn't mean I'm special, but it does mean that a little bit of something in kratom probably won't hurt you, but it probably will me and it already has. My body can't protect me from otherwise "harmless" bacteria (which includes shit like cancer too). I'm not angry about it; just wish I were healthier, lol.
And I'm not a "clean freak" either. That is my mother's obsession and it f*cking destroyed our family. The really shitty part is that I likely ended up this way because I exposed myself to an unsafe environment for two decades.
And I admit it, I will probably never purchase or trade anything on the Trading Post unless it has guaranteed never been opened. And I will not send anyone kratom unless it is unopened and safe in a box that is sitting in a large, well-circulated room. I just would not do that. Will.Not. And, yeah, that makes me paranoid about a lot of vendors too. I have shit healthcare and there is no one on this planet who is looking out for me or gives a shit if I die - except me, so I'm careful and I ask questions because I don't want to blame anyone else if I am the careless one.

Purkratom: Absolutely. Not only is it overpriced. It is bunk. Even worse? Claims to be "Pure" but then they put additives in the leaf. It says so on the back f the package. Purkratom is owned by a computer parts company.

Yes. A bad vendor list would be great. Similar to ballz's list, but with all the outrageous prices, PPG, salmonella reports, and other negative attributes, including a few quotes from bad reviews. Might come off as a bit elitist to some, but I'd personally enjoy it, and it would save time for newbs coming to the forum asking about Gaia and OPMS and such. Sort of like a kratom.assholes or SR but less obviously biased.
