Can we talk about Urban Ice Organics?

This is the vendor from the Leaf of Faith documentary.
The owner was interviewed about how he started using and selling it, and apparently he owned a few head shops. He admitted to using it to transition away from pain pills.
His kratom business seems pretty big - he claimed to be the only vendor to test his product. Also made it sound like he’s a leader in the community reaching out to legislators to help bring this industry under regulation. I noticed on his site that his labeling said not for consumption, so he’s full of shit acting like he’s more FDA compliant than everyone else.
Later in the documentary, he started talking shit about the industry.
He said “this industry operates like a bunch of head shop little fuckin drug dealers.”
He said that there’s a reddit list of vendors that are all the “dirtbag of dirtbags trying to sell the cheapest kratom out there.” He must be talking about us.
Then he said if you don’t go through pharmaceutical co-packer and have your shit lab tested, you shouldn’t be in this business.
He said that all the vendors just care about themselves and no one wants to help each other. That’s not what I’ve seen. Maybe it’s just that other vendors don’t want to work with him because he’s a prick?
So that’s the bad news... I saw mentioned elsewhere by ballzdeep that this guy pretty much just sells in head shops. And obviously, the prices are crazy. Like, I don’t want to support his business for all of these reasons. But I am curious how his product is. Not enough to buy it, but if anyone here has had some... do we know where he gets his leaf?

i hate that he was the one guy featured in leaf of faith, it kind of just turned the whole thing into a commercial for his business. his prices are insane, to insane to even want to try it.
i always wondered who would even buy from it. maybe if it was like my first time when i was buying it from head shops or something. i dunno, he also kind of markets it as a weight lifting supplement, which is weird.

It’s laughable to me how he tries to insult reddit vendors by calling them drug dealers when his own company name ‘urban ice’ literally sounds like some designer garbage street drug.
When he said the reddit vendors were crap, it’s obvious he was just trying to use the opportunity to talk trash about his competition and push his overpriced kratom. I also hated how that otherwise good documentary turned into a big advertisement for urban ice. I’ve been using kratom for years and honestly never even heard of that company until that documentary.
(moving this thread to general discussion too)

Because I did try their product, a few years ago, and am on their mailing list they sent me this video the other day. Stop calling it "DOSING" the proper term is "serving size" according to "one of the top Kratom brands in the US"

Give me a break.

That video is absolutely horrible for multiple reasons!!! I have a large "serving size" of something to give this guy Kelly alright!
1.... So this dude wants people to change terminology used from "dosage" to "serving size" in which I kinda get where he's coming from, but he's just coming off condescending and pompous about it! On top of the fact, he also continues in the video to use the term "dosage" himself then after a time or two catches it and starts correcting himself on some slick shit, when should have just don't another take then!!!
2.... As a practitoner of both Western style (American) boxing and Muay Thai (thai boxing) that boxing clip was absolutely horrific and should left it out hahahaha
3.... Telling people to start small is totally fine even the waiting 30 to 40 min to see how ya feel yeah sure. But, then says wait another 3 hours and start fresh. Why?! Why not add a little bit and try to get to a place of comfort right then?! Oh!! Maybe cu he doesn't mind helping people go through their product faster?!?!
Basically, seems to me that Kelly Dunn is nothing but the used car salesman of the industry and will say whatever he needs to save face and get sales just like a crooked politician..... Instead of changing terminology how about changing his name to Kelly "Done"?!?!

I just finished dosing my coffee. Yeah urban ice organics is the establishment's face of Kratom. It's like Monsanto selling weed. I suppose its a good thing to have an high profile company pushing propriety and standards. But you cant help but feel that guy, Kelly Dunn, would be the first to sell is business to a big drug company. I feel like he's trying to push out all the small vendors. On Facebook it was rumored that Urban Ice was ratting out particular small vendors. I guess irrationally, I dont like the way he's cashing in financially on leaf but on the other hand dirty leaf that kills someone is going to bring Kratom down in this environment. its kind of the opposite of picking up a few kilos from an indo farmer, Having things go through the GMP (Good manufacturing Practice) constraints. The regulation is probably impossibly expensive for small vendors but the alternative having Kratom outlawed is of course worse. I guess this is what the consumer protect acts being passed in some states is all about. I would prefer if Urban Ice left the advocacy to the AKA which is a great organization with no underlying financial motives.

There was a lot of talk about Urban Ice being part of the "Kratom Mafia" - a bunch of vendors that would go around and report other vendors to their payment processors. This led to vendors not being able to do business. That's just dirty af. Sometimes you hear things here and there, but this was coming from a lot of people. I'm not going to say who, but Urban Ice was supporting a popular name's podcast on reddit by giving him kratom. I noticed that it swayed his decision on some topics, post podcast, way more than once.
I've had their crushed leaf and it is really good product. I got it from the podcaster. However, I would never buy it from them, due to their dirty underhanded tactics. I didn't know that the YouTube video was from Urban Ice... it all makes sense now.
