Why I'm Stopping Kratom: I've always had Pollen allergies, they get WORSE with age... Now I'm older and the Grass Pollen "Hay Fever" is killing me. The human body responds to allergy by releasing Histamine. I'm now getting an Immune System response of "Histamine Overload" or aka histamine intolerance... my body is producing TOO much, and even Antihistamine drugs (Benadryl, etc.), can't control!! Chronic Constipation: a BIG part of the problem. Again, Long Term regular use of Kratom promotes constipation... We all know. As discussed on Double MM over the years (Use the Search Bar!), VERY common for Kratom users to be... constipated... Running jokes about "poop" on Reddit. Well... there ARE serious downsides, to being constipated!! Besides "My Kratom isn't Working" (because your guts are Full of Shit,) ~ after time you'll develop... Leaky Gut. where your intestines become injured by storage of shit for days and days. Leaky Gut affects DAO Enzymes (Diamine Oxidase) responsible for control of histamine. When DAO Enzymes are not working. you get an Allergy response. Hair Loss, and Hives, itching, runny nose, etc.

Histamine: So ANY substance I'm taking or eating, that produces HISTAMINE... must be stopped immediately. ~ Kratom is obviously a major culprit. In fact, we know Kratom "mimics" opioid LIKE effects - this includes high effect on Immune System through histamine release. Effects of Immune response ALSO include things like... Hair Loss, (frequent complaint from Kratom users)... Hives (Dirty Kratom causing Hives to breakout all over body!!) ~ Kratom is making your hair fall out ? How ?? Basically it's a "Dirty Drug" with lots of impurities and 30+ alkaloids. That's NOT good from a pharmaceutical perspective. You're rolling the dice that the 30+ "Alkaloid Cocktail" MAY produce an Immune response... An Allergy.

Sure, use your "discernment" (whatever that means ?) but More Information... seems better than "Low Information", aka Stupidity - our current situation here in America, LOL ~ political and otherwise... How long have you been taking kratom? I've been taking it for years and I don't think I've ever had issues with not being able to go. I don't take a lot of powder and I take magnesium, which helps. I don't have issues with allergies but I'd be interested to see if there's a correlation. As far as the immune system, I think I've been less sick within the time I've taken kratom than I was previously. With hair loss, there's morning, collagen, multivitamins and shampoos/hair products with essential oils in it to help your hair.

Wow. Is this real, or are you having a manic episode or just playing devil's advocate ? Either way, I hope you are feeling well now, or again soon. I'm sure there are some downsides to kratom, and we should all, always take notice of any negative effects happening to us, for our own safety, and to be good stewards when speaking about kratom publicly. I've seen a lot of people jumping the kratom ship this year. I'm trying after nearly a decade of daily use. The withdrawal isn't the hard part for me. It's the fact that I have essentially structured my entire life around using kratom for... a whole ass decade. Not sure how to break out of this funk.

I've nearly stopped kratom powder myself - using almost exclusively 7oh (and pretty small amounts of that). I feel MUCH better, and am enjoying life MUCH more.

Kratom served a purpose in my life that is either filled better by 7oh or is unnecessary now. But it's still VERY helpful to a lot of folks so I will continue to tell people about it. It's certainly much better than anything Big Pharma can come up with.

TWO groups on Reddit = "Stopping" 7OH, and "Quitting"... I never used the word Quit - I did Stop all kratom - for a few days. Taking a Break! - Long overdue, it was rough, but dealing with this allergy season/ Immune System overload... and maybe now that's behind me. For now ? I'm still meeting with doctors, looking for answers BUT - Some people go YEARS with crazy Immune reactions... and, never understand WHY... I think, for sure, Kratom can provoke a Histamine response (same with Morphine and other "Dirty" opioids,) and Hair Loss is like - Tip of the Iceberg.

The people in those Quitting groups, (Kratom, Weed, Booze, Coke, you name it,)... are unbearable - WOW. Some seriously stupid folks - Choking down 50, 60, grams of crap quality, Dirt Powder kratom... every single day, ONLY - to get that 2% Alkaloids ?? ~ Maybe the worst part, those "Quitting" folks actively PUSH "Big Recovery" solutions - pushing people to get hooked on Suboxone.

I'd argue the issue is more with how it works as a calcium channel blocker and messes with your metabolism, and heavy metals and mold/mildew levels. Most Kratom at head shops or low quality vendors can test higher than 1ppm for Lead and Arscenic, or over 100-1,000 CFU/g of yeast/mold, and when consumed daily these can build up in the system and will result in tumors and cancer eventually. Look at the COA's, you'll see anywhere from .3-3 PPM's rather than under < 1ppm. Since starting kratom I rarely get sick, And I was chronically sick all the time prior to the regimen. For me personally, I aim to only buy high quality and tested kratom and it's an immune booster. Kratom use on top of being sedentary greatly reduces testosterone production though as well, which has a whole slew of negative effects.
