Taking my kratom through airports

I just got back from a vacay in Colorado Springs, and took my kratom with me.

I had to go through extra procedures at TSA in Honolulu, Denver, and Colorado Springs. I had learned that Denver is now kratom friendly, but I was still nervous. I also had a lot of different capsules for my supplements I was worried they would not allowed, but they weren't interested in them. I think there are two areas in CO that kratom is not legal for consumption, the names escape me atm.

Each TSA check point is the typical routine, with an extra exam of the kratom which is visible through the carry on scanner. My carry on was opened, a couple of bags of kratom were looked at and swabbed with a chemical strip or like a white cup which somehow took a sample - they didn't open the baggie - and the collector ran it through a machine that looked like a cappuccino maker, lol.

What the…all that for kratom…and in Colorado??! How ironic
What’d they end up saying? And did they do all that testing publicly in front of people ?

I've never seen them do that either. That's crazy. Probably checking for explosives or perhaps even controlled substances. How did you have it stored?

How was your trip? What did you end up doing in CO?

Trip was good overall, got to see my 8yr nephew which is what I wanted. Parents went to their church convention as they are currently going to an Anglican church here and the headquarters is in Colorado Springs. But we all got colds on the last two days and horrible delays at the airport, we had to remain in a holding pattern over Denver airport for half an hour and then went back to CO Springs airport cause the weather and lack of fuel. Then all this hullabaloo with making connections.. . my dad had us make extra legs like to San Fran... irritated the heck outta me, but he does all these stuff with mileage points.

It lightly snowed, so I got to experience snow for the first time in 25yrs! Nice for a visit.

I just had some open bags of krat in a big ziploc bag. Had some coffee in there, lots of med capsules. But they examined the xray or some other scanning device and knew straightway which bags they wanted to look at, which was three MitraMan medium sized zips. Then at one airport they use a little test wipe strip, and at another they used a white cup-thing to get some krat dust on the outside of the bag and put that in a machine which looked like the lids holder at McDonald's. It's out in the open, but they don't make it embarrassing or anything. I was impressed with the speed they did that and how professionally. They probably were testing for explosives at the same time.

Glad to be home, but misssing my nephew already.
