Victoza and kratom
Is anyone else taking victoza, wegovy or ozempic while also using kratom?
I'm a long time kratom user who started victoza almost 3 weeks ago for weight loss and I've noticed that kratom is barely perceptible now.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with these drugs and kratom and can share their insights.
So far the liraglutide is working for me and I've had decreased appetite and lost about 6 lbs.
It's more important for me to get to a healthier weight than experience the joys of kratom right now, but dang it why can't I have both.

Re: Victoza and kratom
There's just really not enough studies out there to know. I often wonder myself when I'm prescribed a medicine if it will interact with kratom. Sadly there's often not much info out there on this stuff. I wonder if it might be worth compiling some kind of database of known interactions.
I did a quick google search and found some people asking the same question as you, but the problem with googling questions like this is that one only finds extremely biased cases from people where it did affect their burn. If something isn't affecting someone they aren't likely to report it or bother searching for it to give their input on it in the first place. We definitely need more studies into kratom.

Re: Victoza and kratom
One thing that does occur to me - we have (pretty) good evidence that kratom works in the G.I. tract, that the receptors there are what is the mechanism (which is why having a good BM before a burn is pretty crucial, and folks who are constipated seldom have great burns). I'm guessing (haven't looked) that all these weight-loss drugs block the G.I. absorption, right? I mean, isn't that how they work, you can continue to eat but the food just doesn't get absorbed?
If so then, yes, for sure such drugs would completely stop Kratom's effects. Just one more reason (as if you needed any) to stay away from these TERRIBLE drugs (don't get me started on the Olympic (sp) stuff. It's truly pernicious, nightmare pharmacy by Big Pharma who would much rather make $$$ than ever cure anything. This is just about as evil as it comes).

Re: Victoza and kratom
I successfully use kratom for weight loss and it has been effective in controlling my appetite (for food and narcotics). I am down 65 pounds since beginning my journey and have kept the weight off
