Virginia has an active petition to the Board of Pharmacy requesting that they make kratom illegal.

“The petitioner requests that the Board amend 18VAC110-20-322 to include mitragynine and 7-hydroxymytragynine, the active alkaloids found in kratom, in Schedule I.”

We need ALL kratom advocates, especially Virginians, to comment that you do not support this petition to make kratom consumers criminals if it is a Schedule I substance.

Edit: It appears some of these Anti-Kratom groups are blowing up the board with Lies & Deceptive Statistics/News stories, actively begging for a ban. Please comment with your story if you can.

So I just left a comment and then decided to read some of them and there are a lot of comments this time for the scheduling of kratom, more than I've ever seen before. The majority of them say "anonymous" so my suspicion is that it's one or two people that are posting multiple times, regardless I think it's a good idea for as many of us as possible to comment, if you haven't already.

I put my vote in. I hope everyone does.

I just got back from a mandatory work trip to Dallas for storm work and pot is schedule 1 there, wow what a ridiculous vibe.

Yeah, They really snuck this proposal in. The comment period started May 5th I believe and no one really knew about it till June. Unfortunately KCPA'S don't protect or guarantee Legality...we just gotta hope & pray now.

We already knew it, but the last few days really reaffirmed to us that kratom advocates are amazing. Together we added almost three thousand comments in under three days to tell the Virginia Board of Pharmacy not to Schedule kratom.

Yep. The 25th they "decide" (to cash the pharma check?) We'll see i guess. I'm going on a mad kratom frenzy buying from wherever i can in the next few weeks. I'd like to double my collection,.and besides, my TFH needs some attention.

I don't give a shit what these assholes say, ill just irritatingly drastically switch up my kratom dosing and only take my first dose out of the house (the chipper one, that time every morning is worth a lot to me...) and take another when i get home. Its going to take some effort to get it all together.

I think this week im going to do a Ban Drill and see how i can do it efficiently just in case the worst-case scenario becomes reality, and it could...to get a feel for it so it isn't out of the blue.

I guess everyone knows what went down in Rhode Island this week? A reversal of the kratom ban and in its stead the kcpa. Good news should be celebrated! I THINK it's the first time a state has reversed a kratom ban.

What's CRAZY here - Virginia became the 1st "Southern State" to Legalize Cannabis, a few years ago. 2021.

BUT we're seeing... Many states... The Cops ALL support having a "New Reefer Madness" - Kratom! So they can keep busting searching and robbing people... legally.

AND there is evidence... the Cannabis people... Don't Want Competition from any other Herb. Or Consumers saying WOW - Kratom feels better than Weed ??

Virginia BOP has rejected scheduling!! Another win! Also if you haven't heard Rhode Island has voted to reverse the ban on kratom, it's now up to the governor to sing it into action.
EDIT: well scratch Rhode Island the stupid governor vetoed it. Mentioned health concerns about liver damage and addiction.
