Kratom 4 Dengue Fever?
Day 9 of Dengue Fever symptoms.
Anyone here use Kratom for DF?
On day 2, I sprained my foot. Aches everywhere in my body! Brain fog too.
Been taking 1 small dose of White Maeng Da daily + it helps, but very constipated. More bothered with my foot than the fever symptoms today. Drinking Senna tea.
Seeking support from Mexico, feedback welcome

I've never heard of Dengue fever, I had to google it. Do you believe you contracted it from a mosquito? Also, I'm curious do you live in a tropical climate? Im in Florida myslef. Hope you feel better soon. 9 days in, it must be rough.

Yes, Dengue Fever is from mosquito/s.
I live in Mexico where they are rampant during the rainy season.
It's basically like the flu.
Does anyone here relieve flu symptoms with Kratom?
I have salves for my foot + soak in Epsom salts, but pain continues.
This Friday is Day 11 + I do feel better, less aches. But the headaches continue. I prefer Kratom to asprin, tylenol, etc. because I never do well with pharmaceuticals.
I try not to take Kratom daily, more like 3 x week at most for mood elevations. Note I am a female senior who would like to get back to yoga + qigong, not to mention walks + hikes!

Yes. I have used kratom to relieve viral aches and pains. Ibuprofen works wonders too tho you said you don't go for pharmaceuticals...and it's also antipyretic. Good luck with your dengue. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Dengue is also called Breakback Fever for you Americans. It gives you terrible, almost unbearable headaches & body aches, & many sufferers get extreme depression near the end. I knew Epidemiology & Parasitology classes would come in useful some day.
I have good news for you, OP. Ivermectin can cure Dengue. You should be able to easily get it in a Mexican drug store, probably without a prescription.

Re: Kratom 4 Dengue Fever?
Ah yes, ivermectin!
I am in contact with a holistic plant medicine Mexican doctor who told me to take 6mg ivermectin every 2 months, (which I forgot).
Per his instructions for Dengue (Sep 10), I took 2 Ivermectin on the 2nd day of the fever symptoms + another on Sep 15th.
Last Sat (Sep 23) I thought I was over it, with only my foot injury to deal with. So I got out the yoga mat + did just a few stretches. My shoulder blades were hurting, so I did less stretches on Sunday.
UPDATE:
Now this is Day 15 + I am just figuring out how yoga on my new mat was a bad idea. For other reasons, I haven't done yoga in a year. Clearly, the muscles I stretched was the core of my pain now. I could not sleep for no comfortable position the past 2 nights. This morning I took Kratom in my tea asap + it works wonders
My dose is that little spoon that comes with the powder order. I want to take more before going to bed, but constipation is a serious side effect. Senna tea brings relief, but it's not recommended to drink daily. Kratom has been a great mood elevator before the fever, but I was advised to keep it down to no more than 3x per week. More than that seems to get me in addictive mode w/ urinary + constipation woes.
In summary, I believe the fever is almost over but after 2 weeks of laying around + limping from my aching sprained foot. This senior needs to exercise, but no can do soon. I'm looking for a therapeutic masseuse today, but local spas are closed Mon-Tue. Have DMSO on hand + mixed it up with fresh cut aloe. Looks like I may have to self massage my back w/ it before bed if I can't find a therapist.
If you don't know of DMSO, research Jim Humble (who passed away Sep 1st). He was a proponent of chlorine dioxide + other natural healing methods that were hidden by pharmaceutical industries.
Gratitude for anyone who cares to read this + as always, feedback is welcome.

Metamucil works great for constipation and you can take everyday. Also, drink lots of water.GreenLady wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 1:30 pm Ah yes, ivermectin!
