Has anyone tried bringing straight up kratom powder on a plane?
I'm going to be traveling somewhere for two weeks in the near future and I've always figured to not bring kratom powder on the plane just to avoid any hassles.
I've brought kratom gummies on a plane and they didn't even look at them...but any good kratom gummies are typically gonna be pretty expensive if I'm needing to stock up for two weeks lol

Many many many times. I always take them in the form of paper packets that I make into individual servings (like where you take a square and make little envelopes). So I have many servings in a rubber band. Domestically and internationally.

Do you think that's the best way?
Or could I leave it in its original packaging?
Two weeks of doses is a fuck ton of little pieces of paper to dose out lol

I’m on a plane right now with a 250g bag in my carry on. It’s in the original packaging. It is legal in the place I’m departing and the place I’m arriving. I’ve never been stopped except once in Mexico. The TSA agent asked why it was opened and I said because I consumed it and it is from the US. She sent me on my way. If I’m ever asked what it is I plan to tell them exactly what it is. One time I got stopped and searched because I had a bag of kava. The agent did the swab check (for explosives I think?). He put it back in my bag and sent me on my way. He never even asked what was in the bag.

I am traveling from one legal area to another. So I make the envelopes for ease of travel, not to hide them. I neither hide nor expose. I just pack them. I have actually traveled to illegal countries more than once which was flat out stupid. I don't know that I'd do that today.

Gotcha I figured the most that would happen is they pull me aside and swab it. I would be departing and landing in legal states.
Plan was to just keep it in its original packaging in my carry on like I did the kratom gummies.

Can you elaborate on exactly how these paper squares work? Do you make them yourself out of printer paper or are they mini envelopes? I usually just used the sample baggies I get from TFH but I run out of those pretty quickly. Would be nice if there were a simpler, more efficient method.

For the record. I rotate doses. So 2 weeks@ 3/day means 21 doses and it's easier to have 21 tiny paper packets than 21 vendor envelopes. But my spouse gets nervous we'll run dry (how? he's nuts) and takes some last minute precautionary vendor envelopes and a scale. So I guess we travel both ways and it's always fine.

Re: Has anyone tried bringing straight up kratom powder on a plane?
You take a square piece of paper. Fold in half on the diagonal to form a triangle. Now take the triangle, folded end at the bottom, and bring both tips toward the center EQUALLY. (you're in effect folding the bottom of the triangle into EQUAL thirds.) Now either slip the left point into the right side or the right side into the left so it will hold. Now you should have what looks like a little house, 3 sides of a rectangle with a pointy roof. Essentially a rectangle with a triangle on top. (If you did it equally on both sides the "walls" of the " house" will match in height.) Now fold the rectangle portion in half by bringing the bottom of the "house" up to the top where the triangle or "roof" begins. Now fold the triangle or roof tip over into the floor. It should fit exactly to the bottom of the rectangle or floor. There's a fold where you can tuck it in. You're done. Now open your envelope again to where it's a little house again. You'll see a perfect pouch to put your powder into. And fold it back up. It won't leak. It travels very well. I wish I could post pictures. I'll look on YouTube. If I find a link, I'll post it.Burninator wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2023 4:26 pmCan you elaborate on exactly how these paper squares work? Thanks for the explanation! I think maybe when I’m more awake I’ll be able to figure out how to do this lol. Pretty confusing right this moment. How many can you fit in, say, your pocket?boureka wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2023 5:06 pmYou take a square piece of paper. Fold in half on the diagonal to form a triangle. Maybe I'll find a YouTube and paste a link. Figure each packet is about the size of a credit card. So how many flexible credit cards can you fit in a pocket?

Oh nice that’s pretty handy. I’m picturing it looking something like the paper footballs we used to make in school?

I took some to Cali in pill form (00 caps I made myself, just put in a ziplock bag). They didn't even look at or ask about those, my luggage got pulled after going through the detector because of some pepperoni sticks I had in my carry-on for a snack. Go figure.

Re: Has anyone tried bringing straight up kratom powder on a plane?
Before Covid I would travel pretty often for work, every 3-4 months or so. I remember the TSA posting some notifications at the airports back then that powders would start being restricted to a few ounces only for carry on bags? I haven’t flown since, and am sure it would be fine in any case to keep your stash in checked luggage. Even in carry on, they probably won’t notice or care even if there is some new rule TBH
Back then at least, I had 0 issues bringing in plain powder in my carry on bag

I’m flying later this week and I made a . Bunch of capsules which generally have little effect for me unless I chew them up. I’ll just throw the capsules in an old bottle of NAC from there.

Yes. I emptied out a bag of greens supplement from grocery and filled it with the powder. I also use empty medicine bottles to put powder in and I fill the bottles with juice/water once I’ve gone through security.

I fly with kratom every month, keep it in a plastic ziploc bag. I'll usually bring a couple hundred grams with me. Never once have I had any issue with TSA or anything. They'll always pull out any food i have lol but never the kratom

Fun fact: Kava is completely illegal EVERYWHERE in Holland. Wtf?!

I’ve done it once out of SFO to Dallas with no problems. I only had an ounce or two though.

Re: Has anyone tried bringing straight up kratom powder on a plane?
They're looking for danger. Threats. If the family member that gave you a ride to the airport did it with the truck they use at work for demolition or similar - that material will stick you you and set off all their alarms.,
So that's happened. Well if you think of it as "straight up" something - that elicit vibe might tap somebody's sensory field.. Just know CURRENT legality of kratom wherever you'll be going.
And if someone is wearing a suit lined with ecstasy pills and it shows and it will, they'll get pulled for that. They hate liquids and take expensive skin & hair stuff.
So it's really no time to play with ingenuity and try to hide something.
I brought just samples I had that were still sealed but no matter, last second I grabbed DLPA powder that was opened in the 100g size - so White powder dust, that in a zip lock knowing it would poof.
Very much powder mountain. Nada.
I Did get searched and groped very thoroughly- my punishment for avoiding high energy which malfunctions on me for some reason anyway.
Return trip- only one TSA agent and people showed up behind me so I did the microwave to not be an ass hole and Still had to stand there and be searched. so never again. They're going to have to work every time.
So what was wrong with the e-club thing they used to trace around you? A shoe bomber? The microwave doesn't see that. The hidden things smelling you as you walk between them do.
Not having to risk - not technically proven harmful & it'll be hard to prove what accelerated degradation of your DNA - really ought to override the ease of doing things to people they don't understand.

A dozen flights. Nobody even knows what it is. I think one guy asked me about it once while looking at my scuba regulator and I mentioned it and he thought I said "illegal." I said no no no, legal! we laughed and that was it. Other countries, minus like Saudi Arabia or Malaysia, I'd just put extract capsules in a vitamin container and leave it out in open with meds and such. Maybe a resealed Matcha bag mixed or not.Jhaves91 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2023 3:10 pm I'm going to be traveling somewhere for two weeks in the near future and I've always figured to not bring kratom powder on the plane just to avoid any hassles.

I brought kratom capsules on board a plane flight in my purse. No one said anything.
