Actual tincture recipe?

Could anyone help me with an explicit tincture recipe/instruction? I've been reading online, but most of the "recipes" are vague and general, or various, and I'm confused about where to start. It seems relatively simple, but how exactly does one do it?

Can you be more specific about what you mean by "tincture"?
As someone who has tried ALL the ways you can to make extracts using alcohol (even 100% alcohol) I can tell you it's not worth the trouble. But if you are talking about something else just let us know (the word "tincture" can mean a whole lot of things to a lot of people).

I thought tincture was when you rendered it down into a concentrated form that you could use in smaller doses, but I guess I mean extract. But it sounds like you're saying it doesn't work, the mixing w alcohol and stashing for a week in the cabinet?

Isn't a tincture just alcohol based? That's how I always perceived it. Any and all extracts using alcohol

But I don't know how to make extract. I guess that's what I'm asking.

The word "tincture" is used to mean a whole lot of things - and I don't want to get into that. Let's talk about what you are asking, using alcohol to extract the goodness from Kratom.
As someone who spent a TON of time (and a lot of money - close to 1K) pursuing this process, I can tell you it just isn't worth it. The bottom line is that what you end up with doesn't have ALL that kratom really has, and is a shadow of the powder itself. Even buying such "extracts" from dealers who spend even more money and time you can't get the full kratom experience (most expert users combine the extracts with kratom itself, which to me kind of defeats the whole point).
If you want the Reader's Digest story, here it goes - you generally start by soaking the powder in alcohol, and the stronger the alcohol the better, the reason being is that the stuff in kratom we want doesn't dissolve in water (so lower than 100 proof just means you have a lot of water you also have to get rid of). You can buy the full 100 proof alcohol in *most* states (mail order is generally best). You can get 95 proof locally in some stores, but it's way more $$$ than you need to spend (if you want sources let me know but, as I said, I do NOT advise doing this).
Then you soak the powder in the alcohol for a period of time - most folks making stuff like this recommend a minimum of six weeks. I've tried from between two to ten weeks. You shake up the mixture once a day or so (make sure you use tightly sealed mason jars). And then comes the fun part - you need to get rid of (most) of the alcohol (you could, in theory, just drink it but it would be stronger than vodka and most folks who want to do this don't want to drink all that alcohol - note that if you DO want to drink I'd just use the strongest vodka you can find and enjoy!).
Lots of ways to get rid of the alcohol but the safest is to buy a machine to do this (some folks try evaporating it from things like their oven but those are idiots - the mixture is EXTREMELY flammable). I bought an extract machine with the various apparatus necessary to filter it first (this is the extremely messy part - the mixture will stain things you could not believe are stainable - even plastic of all sorts - so buy ALL your stuff with this in mind). Totally cost of all is a little less than 1K (if you are REALLY insistent on doing this I can sell all the stuff to you at a steep discount - but, again, don't).
Once you run the machine you will end up with anywhere from between 1/4 ounce to 2 ounces of concentrated alcohol with around 60% of the alkaloids in kratom that are what we want. If you started with, say, 50 or 60 grams it sounds powerful but, again it doesn't work that way. But if you want to go this route don't hesitate to ask me any specific questions because, as I said, I spent about six months in the process and I've been through ALL you will need to know.
(The bottom line is I went back to capsules and was glad I did).

You can make a crude extract then you can use either alcohol or mct coconut oil and throw some of your extract in a little tincture bottle with the mct oil and viola
There is a sub on Reddit that can help with that r/Kratom_Extractors
It's a good idea to know how to make crude extract in case they get banned from being sold. You can always refine it further from there too
