TFH green recommendations?

Post by add to descartes »

so I was fortunate enough to get a membership to tfh. today I'm going to place my first ever order there. I'm going to do a split with greens, what's hitting especially good now? I know that if they make the menu they're certified solid, but as I can only pick four, would love to hear what the current favorites are. thanks

thanks, i'll def check out the jade, the others are reds though. for whatever reason, even the green reds haven't been hitting lately, and usually slow greens are plenty slow enough.

You *might* want to make an exception and at least try some of the TFH reds (right now I'd recommend Red Baik Bali Especial 1-KUN11 (Although the Master Crafted is just fine).

Nearly all of them are not "bent" so they are really green (not red). And *most* folks find that green reds (which sounds like an oxymoron but isn't) are just fine. You'd really be missing out if you didn't give one of them a shot.

Also - Afterburner Bali is a white. It's really good as well.

Baik Bali Red Especial: I-KUN11 is really good. It's an "anytime" red. It's not slow. I would recommend adding that to your split. I immediately ordered another kilo after trying it. It's that good!

Green Forest Borneo (B): TWI-AIR has excellent mood boost. It's more of a subtle green, but it's very good. It's been around for a while so if you search the name here on the board you'll see lots of recommendations.

And since Afterburner Bali: MK-SD7 has already been mentioned. Pure clean energy. No jitters. Lasts forever. Highly recommended.

I always save the 100g bag for ones that only available in that size. It's a much better deal to get the others as part of a split.

Good luck!

thanks! there's only 100s of the jade, so I can't get that in the split, but I will check around for more rec's. that's two strong co-signs for the baik especial, so I'll probably take the chance. it is green in color, yes?

I'm not good with colors, but it looks like an off green to me. It's definitely not a traditional red color. It's one of my current favorites for sure.

One thing I do when I'm researching an order is to look at the TFH menu then copy/paste some strains I'm interested in and put them in the search bar in the upper right here. It takes a little digging but I often find other threads where people are talking about the strains I'm interested in.

so here's what I'm going with:

100g - 30 Year Wild Jade Hulu: IR9A1-G

split kilo:
250g Afterburner Bali: MK-SD7
250g Baik Bali Red Especial: I-KUN11
250g Old School Green Bali NMIR-2
250g Green Forest Borneo (B): TWI-AIR

I usually only do greens, but since this is a new vendor for me, I'm going to give a white and a red a try.

DO NOT forget the 30 year jade Hulu!

Probably the best choice for your 100 as it’s only available in 100s.

It’s a classic and one of the best on the menu. For me it was full of energy then wound down to a dreamy mid. Perfect for after work or at special events imho

Usually the next day at the latest.

(And I MUST make my Jade Hulu into some capsules. Perhaps this weekend).

IMHO .......one BIG mistake

The master crafted red is EPIC. Seriously.

Swap out the green Borneo, or either of the Bali’s and thank me later.

One of my all time favorites......

Oh yes......this ain’t your granny’s red.

Most of TFH reds are green reds as he is more known for reds than greens as well.

They are the red ninjas......

Seriously, you will either like it, love it or ADORE it but you won’t regret it.

Stupid amounts of euphoria and warmth with enough energy for the day as well.

Just remember to thank me for forcing the issue, 😂 lol

Everything is relative. Master Crafted red is, indeed, fine. But it's not as good as some other things TFH sells.

But everyone reacts differently to different strains. There is a ton of love for their Sapphire Sundra, so much that I bought two bags of 250 grams... and now I'm stuck with an unopened bag as it did NOTHING for me. But that's okay - again, everyone is different.

(I wish I could tell you their best red but it's not on the menu :>).

It is very true that everyone has different reactions to alkaloid profiles.

That being said, as an OG leafer, with a pretty tall tolerance, master crafted red is to me, simply phenomenal.

Many other OG leavers here agree, just read the reviews. In fact, this is the only time I’ve heard anything less than stellar reviews........but again, we are all different.

While the 30 year Jade is one of my favorite greens of all time, you really are making a great choice with that Old School Green Bali.

It’s actually an energetic Bali with fantastic moodlift. It seems to be under the radar a bit.

One more i would recommend: Top Shelf Green Muna.

Absolute energy and good feels. Fantastic strain.

The Master Crafted Red has gotten some good feedback, even from Chris, but I've tried it a couple times and it hasn't been anything special for me so far. I hesitate to tell people that they will love something just because I do. Personal chemistry is always the deciding factor. Best to just speak about your own experience, in my opinion.

Sitting here after taking some an hour ago... I'm so much in heaven right now (and that's pretty weird because I just got through eating a HUGE meal - my high carb day. As a rule I try not to eat a few hours before and after taking kratom but I was too hungry. So now my tummy is full, and my head is in the clouds).

I did NOT realize how good this stuff is. The first time I tried it I used it right before bed (my usual nighttime red usage) but I think I was so tired I fell asleep immediately. Now that I'm awaking and fully aware this is awesome stuff indeed. Perhaps I should have bought more (but I have four more reds coming from them and one is SPECTACULAR so I'm set).

If there's any of the Especiale left - someone should buy it (I've just bought all the kratom I'm buying this year. He says).

Yeah. I know (that's why I added the "he says"). Look, I'm a kratom whore, there's no question about it. I'll spread my wallet for anything that looks nice. But I really DO have to draw the line in the sand somewhere. I'm ending up with a rotation that's ridiculous (right now my 80 slot has about 10+ that are kind of "hovering" on the shelf. My wife keeps asking "these are going to go somewhere, right?" and I haven't yet figured out a good answer). Either I just replace some of those 80 with the new, good ones (which means taking out some proven good ones) or I increase the rotation, something I am loathe to do but seems to be inevitable (just like Thanos).

The only good news is my wife has accepted that I will be making capsules for the rest of my life.

so I went ahead with my above order. I was tempted to take ktom's suggestion to switch out the forest for the master crafted red, but since I'm more of a green person, I wanted to get mostly greens. as for the mc red, there's always next month.

btw, Chris got back to me that night (I got an email at like 2am, he keeps some crazy hours...like me) and got it shipped out that day. tracking says Monday, but I have my fingers crossed for saturday. I am running on fumes essentially....I have plenty of leaf, but none of it is particularly effective. so hopefully that will end up lowering my tolerance in advance of this pack

thanks again for all the recommendations, this community rocks

btw, Chris got back to me that night (I got an email at like 2am, he keeps some crazy hours...like me) and got it shipped out that day. tracking says Monday, but I have my fingers crossed for saturday. I am running on fumes essentially....I have plenty of leaf, but none of it is particularly effective. so hopefully that will end up lowering my tolerance in advance of this pack

thanks again for all the recommendations, this community rocks
The Master Crafted Red was in testing as a green, Green #605

Enough people must have reported that it felt like a red for it to be put into stock as one. It's definitely a daytime red. :)

That's interesting because to me a daytime red is one that feels like a green, i.e., doesn't make you sleepy and gives energy and focus. I hope I like it cuz I ordered a lot of it!

Are you SURE of that? There was one green that was definitely what you are describing (and at least a few of us reported as red), but I was positive it was another number. When I looked at my notes for Green 605 I reported it as a green.

I also liked it - a lot. Just not as amazing as some of the others.

And coincidentally enough (life is funny that way, sometimes) I took Green 605 without coming to this thread or having any motive other than it was next in the rotation (labeled as green 605 when I made the capsules) this morning. So far it feels EXACTLY like a green (and I'm not a particularly big fan of greens, much preferring reds and whites). Which is to say - warm, great feels, but no sedation at all.

Hmm. So Green 611 (which a number of testers reported as a "red") was not the only green that ended up being a red, eh? That's weird.

Green Muna was in testing as a white, but I don't have the number right in front of me.

Red 529 / Green 525 also became a red on the menu, Wild Red Samarinda. I asked Chris about this!

Glad you told me - I bought Green 525 and was about to place another order (sigh) and might well have gotten the Red Samarinda.

Maybe I'd better ask Chris if any of them ended up what I'm about to order. More complications. (Perhaps I even have Get er Done green already).
