Am I the only one that has a hard time making a choice on which strains to get when placing a new order? I discovered this wonderful plant in January and am still learning something new every day, so i have just been ordering various 1 ounce sample packs of diff strains.
Every time I order from a new vendor i keep my budget at a low amount, spend what feels like hours narrowing down my choices, looking through reviews, making a list and then strategically narrowing down what my final choices are, placing an order and then excitedly wait for my package to come in the mail!
Yes, it takes time as well as trial and error to find what is good for you and which strains give you what you are looking for. I've been utilizing kratom for 5 years and I still have trouble deciding what I'm going to order. I like having a plethora of strains on hand so I have a variety to choose from when I burn. I also do a lot of custom blending. Happy burning!
It usually takes me hours, if not days to decide....lol. After a while you learn what is usually a consistant strain for you. Getting a sample pack is always a good thing, and a consistant vendor is equally as important too.
Don't over think it too much. I've noticed a difference between vein colors and Sumatra seems like a stand-out; what really makes a difference is the quality of the Kratom and whether or not it has been ground and processed outside the United States or within the US. I have ordered from a ton of different vendors only one of them has Kratom that doesn't taste bitter, nasty and stale.
I would advise you to find a vendor that you like and then try different vein colors. If you're looking for energy make sure to try the sumatra/horned kratom; unlike the other "strains", this one actually has unique alkaloids that aren't found in other strains.

Which vendor was the one you felt had the best tasting kratom? Also I have tried white horn from SoCal and I definitely liked it a lit. I have a sample ounce of red horn but I am not a huge fan of reds unless they are blended, but I’ll try it out by itself next time. Still have to try Sumatra but I’ll def add it to my next order, thank you for the info!
I always recommend checking vendors that have sample packs or sell quantities small enough to cost $10 dollars or less. That way I get a nice variety to take and the ones that don't work I didn't spend a lot on. The ones that do work I can order larger quantities of.
I find it difficult to buy sample packs. I could spend $80 getting maybe 500 grams total, or spend the same amount and get a kilo. I go with the kilo every time. Surprisingly I haven't gotten anything that I didn't like in some way.
I do lots of research ahead of time, but that only takes you so far. And by the time I say 'I want that!' they're sold out of it. The next batch could also be different so I can't just get it when they restock, I have to do more research.
...love kratom but yeah the buying part can be difficult (and fun).

Yeah - agreed. It also kind of sucks when you get a sample in, figure out what specific one you like, go to re-order and then it’s sold out.
