Top strain/vendor for pain
Who is everyone’s favorite strain and vendor for pain? I have shoulder pain and I’ve found kratom to really help. Is there one that really work for you?

Re: Top strain/vendor for pain
I use reds more for pain, alot of people dont like the way fermented strains taste but they really help me with all the pain I get. I use royal bent, red bent, chocolate, red borneo but if you prefer more up reds then red dragon, super red or super red md, haveing a sale on some kilos at 70 a pop. I hope this helps. some people dont like reds if so try green veitnam. it always works for me. I know every one is different tho but Thats why variety is the spice of life.Sabrown092 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 7:54 pm Who is everyone’s favorite strain and vendor for pain? Re: Top strain/vendor for pain
There isn't one that works for everyone because it all depends on body chemistry and the batch. For me, the ultimate pain relief kratom was Mitraman Red Horn 9/21. You could check to see if anyone is selling it on the Trading Post, but it might not work for you. For me, it's like ibuprofen that actually works. I'm going to run out sometime this year, and it makes me sad--loved that batch.
I like to blend my reds with a bent so that I can take more. Even if taking more than 2g of regular red kratom would make me throw up, adding another 2g of a bent increases the dose, but somehow affects my stomach differently. I think it's because a lot of the mitragynine in bents has been converted to other alkaloids, but idk for sure. I recommend Dennette, Lucky's, and TFH for bents in general.
Also, If your shoulder is hurting, I hope you're getting or got a consult with a physical therapist (and your doctor). My shoulder was hurting terribly a few months ago, along with my neck. I was waking up with numb arms and I quit using my right arm to grab anything over the level of my shoulders because I'd get a sharp, stabbing pain. Turned out my shoulder pain was neck related, and PT treating my neck (and oddly hips--which were causing the poor posture that screwed up my neck) mostly fixed my shoulder. Kratom got me through it, but I love love love physical therapy for making it less necessary.

Re: Top strain/vendor for pain
I think that I might be one of the unlucky few who don't get long-term effectiveness out of a single batch of kratom. It's basically useless for me to buy more than 125 grams of any one batch as over time they have all lost their best antidepressant and antianxiety effects.
But that said, they still continue to work for pain pretty well even once I've lost the rest of the benefits. I primarily use kratom for pain relief from fibromyalgia.
I also prefer slower kratom as it's more relaxing and therefore fits what I need from it better than speedier types. But maybe you need the energy in addition to the pain relief. There are plenty of greens that fit that bill too.
So as a more direct answer to your question, my favorite batch (no such thing as a "strain" of kratom) for pain is basically anything from any quality small batch vendor that isn't too fast. Bents do tend to have a slightly greater pain relief effect for some types of pain. They often won't help my migraines though, for instance.
I wish I could identity a handful of great batches and get kilos of each, but unfortunately that's just a bit of a waste for me.

Re: Top strain/vendor for pain
Ridiculous. What is the LOGICAL reason why 1 particular "Vendor" would ease your PAIN - any more than any other vendor ?? Good grief. Batches come and go.
Vendors sell what they get. They have little to NO control, over a Re-stock... that goes double for small vendors... then "Strain" ??
I thought we'd covered that like 2 years ago ? But people just CAN'T dispose of the dumb idea that there's huge differences in Plain Leaf powder . The whole fake strain thing pushed by vendors 5 years ago... IS now firmly rooted in folklore and urban legend.
LOGIC and Facts - there's at MOST, a 100% difference in Quality out there, yes. Defined by alkaloid content. AND... there's a Limit on strength of Plain Leaf. Nobody's ever shown a batch of Plain Leaf over around 2.1% Mitragyna. That's the Limit... You're never gonna get MORE pain relief since MIT is the active ingredient in kratom.
The Good News ?
NOW we have the resources to MAKE our own Kratom serving that is stronger than the strongest Plain Leaf...
it's called "Extract" and you simply ADD enough, to spike your serving OVER the natural Limit of 2% MIT. So.... for Pain Relief - ignore the shilling for vendors and strains - Just buy the best overall Quality kratom, then buy some MIT from ANA or Wonderland or wherever, and (Use a digital Scale!) carefully spike your plain powder... "As Needed". That's it basically.
ADD Acetominophen or Ibuprofen... or Cannabis CBD - those all work in combo with kratom, on different systems in the body to relieve pain.

Re: Top strain/vendor for pain
I think the Benni Super Green was 2.2%.
Otherwise, there have been STRAINS that are super for pain, but no particular vendor had all of those strains,.as you said.
One that comes to mind is the TFH Wild Premium Bali, remember that one?
Killed pain like no other, but literally NO other effects. If you mixed it with another kind, the burn was great, though.
EDIT : see, I still say "strains" even though I know that isn't correct. Old habits die hard.
I used to think it was so cool that differences in soil content resulted in different alkaloids. Come to find out all of that was bullshit. What a letdown. Haha!

Re: Top strain/vendor for pain
Over the years I return to the following blends: PA Botanicals Red Fibro Blend, and Liza's Red Headed Stepchild.
There are tons of vendors that have helped me and that are personal red faves for pain (unlike some, green and white so nothing for my pain but they feel so lovely and a red dominant red/green blend can work together like magic.)
The above blends listed can be enhanced, as can another staple to my pain management--All Natural Artisan's Red Bali.
I don't think one vendor or strain is better than another, but those blends...RHSC...have gotten me through a lot. I try to keep them in my rotation but as I would have it, I ran out of RHSC and ANA awhile ago. I can't splurge the slightest anymore. Cancer treatment is expensive!

Re: Top strain/vendor for pain
I got a sample in my order and Benni's Green MD was 2.2%. That is BONKERS. I ordered the Red Horn, which is 1.84% and another sample-Red Borneo--that was like 1.86%. I was very happy, still am, but need some daytime reds for emergency reasons these days. I have to control pain, energy levels, and remain clear headed enough to do all the things I need to do to ensure my spouse has a chance of surviving this cancer (we found out in January and I'm getting awfully tired and crumbly. Looking for power day reds...all my faves are more sedating but I need to be jacked up and pain free to juggle and not drop all the balls.mivanqua wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 3:23 pm I think the Benni Super Green was 2.2%.

I think I gathered from her site that Trainwreck is also perhaps a blend of reds? Someone reviewed the blend, saying it was like the red strain version of Happy Go Lucky. Needless to say, I'm dying to try. Have you?

Along with Liza's Red Headed Stepchild, for pain, I also like/need PA Botanicals Red Fibro Blend/Red Fibro Blend Enhanced and All Natural Artisan's Red Bali or the Red Bali enhanced.
There is more but I have to run--er, stumble quickly.

Re: Top strain/vendor for pain
If your a vendor commenting on this i just want to say, DONT. Your showing some real foolishness. Your literally 1 purchase away from bankruptcy, and one FDA eyeball away from being shutdown.
Dont EVER make medical recommendations on a product that is not Approved by the government. You will not win in court if sued and the fda will come raid you/shut you down quickly and you just add more fuel to the fire against kratom. Peer to peer discussions are allowed but you cannot make recommendations if you are selling the product. No one wants federal FDA agents coming to your business, or home because you made claims online.
If you want to get free money just sue the company who recommended a product for any medical reason that isnt approved for such medical issue. You win 100% in court. If redbull got sued big time for not giving wings you bet everything you can win big for saying kratom didnt help with "medical issue/term" and you can even say it caused loss of work, and everything other issue to add in for more $$.

I often wonder why so many vendors have a serving size printed on the bags of a product that is sold not for human consumption. It seems like that would be enough to prove it's being sold for consumption.Jfish030 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 12:53 pm If your a vendor commenting on this i just want to say, DONT. Re: Top strain/vendor for pain
Those are two different topics. Selling a product for a medical reason that it is not approved for is not the same as selling kratom for consumption. This all is based on laws that were created to keep people from selling snake oil (which are treated more harshly). If kratom was wide spread being marketing for "medical terms" the product would have been banned 100% by now. The fact that majority of sellers are doing a good job not recommending it for specific things is helping to keep it afloat.PistolsAtDawn wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 5:52 pmI often wonder why so many vendors have a serving size printed on the bags of a product that is sold not for human consumption. The serving sizes are there to protect the customers. If your using over 10 grams a day for most kratom powders you are actually using a non recommended amount. The heavy metal content specially and partial the microbial limits are all based off of a limit of using a maximum amount per day, 10 grams is the standard for most companies. You could recommend more but you would run into even more issues finding product that would pass testing. You could also say its to protect the company during litigation from adverse effects too. Those reasons are why your seeing that label. You might actually see a new one soon stating this product contains an addictive substance mitragynine.
