Anyone pumped for the new Top Gun movie?

I don't have high hopes, but the reviewer on the radio today said it was the best action movie he had ever seen, was on the edge of his seat the whole time. Best action movie ever?! We shall find out.

yeah I have heard exaggeratedly rave reviews. not sure if it's just hype but some people seem to be pretty excited about it. I dont plan on seeing it though, unless they have a shot for shot remake of the beach volleyball scene.

I am a massive fan of the original. I think they hit all the high points of the original with an amazing job of using the updated technology available. I think its at least a cool 9/10. Let me know what you think.

Anyone see the movie? Did they make it as good as number one?

Absolutely spectacular! I saw it last night at IMAX (it was filmed for IMAX), and it was pure awesome! Amazing flight scenes, great story, and very positive pro-America goodness that's been sadly rare for a while.

sounds phenomenal

this is really a 7.5-8 outta 10 movie, but for some reason, mostly Cruise's charisma and our nostalgia, make it a must see to kick off summer!

Like.. nothing really happens in this movie except the pilots all look great, some punchy dialogue, and flying. Good flying, but not great flying. Why does the flying make me locked into the movie, then? It's a mystery, it's the same visuals as last time, the familiar 'he's on your tail' 'i can't see him' 'pull up, pull uppppppppp!'

What happened to Kelley

on a side note: my psychiatrist used to own the Ninja Tom used in the first movie, eventually sold it. Same model used in this movie, not sure if it's the same bike, though.
