Told my psych I take kratom and cannabis daily so there shouldn't be any interactions.
I am on day 3. Was on paxil before but changed doctors so im giving this a try. Anyone ever take this stuff?
I'm hoping it helps with depression, add, fatigue, and if I could lose a few pounds that would be great too.
Just looking for feedback from people.

My husband started it in December, and he loves it. He’s on 300mg, split into 150mg pills. The first week he was on it, he only did one 150mg pill a day. Then after that was told to increase it to 2. They didn’t specify if he was supposed to do both pills at once, or split them up and take the second hours later, but that’s what he was doing. When he went back for his check up to see how it was going, the Dr told him he should be taking both pills at the same time. So he started taking both pills in the morning. But then he said it felt like at the end of the day, there was nothing left (if that makes sense). So he started splitting them up again, and likes it much better that way. He is also a daily Cannabis user, but not Kratom. And hasn’t had any issues.
I wouldn’t necessarily classify my husband as depressed, it’s more of a “racing mind that he can’t shut up”, kinda like ADD. He says the Wellbutrin has helped immensely with this. He was on Dexadrine as a kid, but nothing up until the Wellbutrin. And while I’m sure there is some underlying depression symptoms, and is the reason the Dr prescribed it to him, I’m thinking that this was just a bonus “side effect” and is actually the reason he likes it so much. They also prescribed him an anti-anxiety (Hydroxyzine) — which is actually an antihistamine — that he takes at night as a sleep aid.

also marketed as zyban for quitting smoking.
Stuff kinda zombiezed me, i wasn't depressed, felt a kinda flat, but my body was a bit hyper - I drank tons of whiskey every night to slow it down, which, isn't good, so moved on to less manic inducing meds. (this was like 2003?)
But if it works for you, stick with it and know there are alternatives if it doesnt. It's like the hunt for fire kratom... bad batch? give it to someone who likes it, or throw it away and keep looking.
Gotta remind myself, keep trying

I took Wellbutrin to stop smoking and it worked great. Made me a little manic but I felt that it was a small price to pay to stop the cigarettes. I had been a 1-2 pack a day smoker for over 30 years and nothing had ever worked for more than a month or two before I was back on the cigarettes. I highly recommend it for smoking cessation. Took it for a year or 13-14 months. I don’t remember having any trouble getting off it other than being nervous about it. Been without cigarettes for a little over 5 years now

I could never take wellbutrin because it increased my anxiety too much. it can be a little too stimulating. I've heard it works great for a lot of people as a supplement to their SSRI/SNRI. I'm not as familiar with it being used as the sole antidepressant, supposedly it's effective by itself though
out of curiosity, what did your psych have to say when you mentioned kratom?

My nephew was on Effexor for a few years and his doctor added Wellbutrin after the Effexor stopped working as well for him. It really helped him so much and he went from 240lbs down to 180lbs too. He said it curbed his hunger so much that he only felt the need to eat when he got hungry instead of binge eating and snacking. He seems to be doing very well on it and has maintained his weight loss for about 2 years now. Hope it works well for you too

wow, maybe I'll have to give it a shot again. I've gained so much weight from medication, and im getting older so it's not as easy to lose. I've been looking for something like an appetite suppressant, but my doctor just suggested the anti-epileptic topamax, and that's something I don't want to take.

Hey, I have been on Bupropion 300XL for a few years and it is literally the only med I'm on that actually helps with my depression. Depression is a chronic issue for me, along with my physical chronic illnesses, there is this. I have tried every anti-depressant short of MAOI's and this works about as good as it can for me. I'm kind of treatment resistant but initially when I took them, I felt really good for a year. Take them away, and I feel like poo. Also. I'm on Lexapro for anxiety, too.
The Wellbutrin--make sure it is 300 and XL--helps me with mood, my ADD, and reduces my appetite. For me personally, it is the best anti-depressant I've ever had. Still, I need more help and I hope they start looking at other off-label uses for meds that might help treatment resistant depression. I am dopamine deficient, even with the Wellbutrin! But, I give it a score of A. Oh, and they have a med called fourfifty and it is a daily dose of Wellbutrin that is 450mg. I'd take it, but I also have to take Adderall. That would be too much stimulation and then the panic would take over and I'd be f'ckd.

have you tried Modafinil? It's not prescribed specifically for ADHD, but it happens to be really effective for it.
also, paradoxically, clonidine has shown benefits with adhd. I just take it for anxiety, and it's amazingly helpful.
I have tried all sorts of SSRIs, but I recently got on effexor XR, and that one has worked best for me so far.
