My First Media Bias Chart

Hi Fam,

I found this handy dandy media bias chart while scouring Reddit for nud... ahem... new developments in the beautiful planet we call home. It dawned on me that some people within my absolute favorite forum aren't familiar with the ease of use this provides.

This pictured info chart has helped me in so many ways!!

It has:
educated me about many OP motives
provided me needed assurance when I thought I was going crazy
not earned me any friends
informed me of MY final decision BEFORE I hit the send button
definitely not cured Cancer
...and SO MUCH MORE...

That's a great chart! Happy to see AP at the top where it belongs.

I went to the website on the bottom right for fun. Before It's News. Wow lol. Anybody can post an article.

There's one stating that Fauci was charged with murder. I clicked on the article to see if it was clickbait. Nope! They explicitly say its not fake news and suggest that people perform private prosecution. They say police aren't needed to take someone to court.

Refers to Trump as 'the chosen one' and suggests the firing range for traitors and pedophiles.

Claims COVID is fake but also says that hairdryers and garlic kills the virus???

And my favorite, there is an article titled: "Hopi Elders Saw It All Coming - Unbelievable Predictions"

Well it's certainly interesting, not sure how useful ? just someone's artistic creation... Pretty well done, and basically correct. One thing that jumps out ? Are they trying to suggest - A "balance", which is.... BS. IMO. The Media right now overall, is NOT balanced and rightfully so, because the Left and Right (in 2022) are not balanced in terms of - Truth and Falsehood. Which is... or should be... a MAIN job and goal of responsible Journalism or "News Reporting".

So because it's NOT balanced, one side is constantly engaged in... What-About-ism: the "Good People on Both Sides" . opinion which was advanced by our Big Loser - President Ronald Rump. And any thinking person who is educated, knows that that was absolute... Bullshit. He's full of it. They are full of it!! And, it's gotten worse and worse over the past 4 years to the point...

One Side has outright embraced The Big Lie - from Rump, to last weeks' BS from GOP that January 6 = "Legitimate Political Discourse". The same Side that attacks Science. and now School Teachers. Doctors, Public Health workers. Crowds of people yelling in School Board meetings, County Board of Health meetings, etc. So... yeah. Strange Days, but professional Journalists - Reporters - are by nature "Truth Tellers" they seek and report what's happening. When 1 political side goes crazy, Anti science in a Pandemic - even anti Democracy... The Media must call that out, don't you think? EVEN if they appear less "Balanced" ??

I don't think it shows a balance. Right side clearly dips lower overall if you consider which news sources are most popular. Would be cool to see this represented (maybe with small/big circles?) but its probably close to impossible to get valid/accurate data on that.

Far right reads/watches Fox, OAN, Newsmax, Sun, Shapiro, Hannity, Turning Point, New York Post, Epoch Times, and independent media that at best, merely parrots these. This is Trump supporter news.

Far left probably does not go further down than CNN. I really haven't heard of most of those on the far left. Lowest I recognize is MSNBC and TMZ and The Daily Beast, but I don't personally consider them trustworthy or know anyone who does. All my favorites are in the triangle at the top. NPR, BBC, AP, Reuters, and I like VICE, but only for documentaries. Some like ABC or NBC. Those are what Bernie supporters watch/read.

Your last point is really good. Some people think that all the bad news about Trump is 'fake news' made up by "globalists" (see: boogeyman). It's so easy to make it seem like the media is against you when you do so many bad things. This is how you get people not to trust the news, to believe nothing is real, that there is no true truth. They begin relying on their intuition to decide what is real, and their intuition relies on their bias. They'll gravitate towards news sources that adhere to those biases. This is the power of propaganda.
