Straight from a chiropractor

Am testing out some of these that don't require a soup can right now, with mixed results.

To crack my spine, I usually stand, put both arms behind me and interlace my fingers. Then lean forward, bend at the waist, and lift arms.

Reminder that chiropractors are not medical professionals. You can't sue them for medical malpractice if they mess you up, and they usually have you sign a release so you can't sue them period.

This video looks good though, just some stretching. I feel like yoga has some very similar positions and more or less achieves the same thing.

I have a really good stretch for my lower back that I first heard from a chiropractor who scammed my dad for months before teaching him this stretch. My dad was like, "I need to go on vacation this weekend. What can you do?" All sorts of massages and devices before that which did nothing, and are probably used just to keep people making appointments. Decided I would never go to a chiropractor after that. A lot of studies show it to be ineffective. I think they just hit on some key useful positions like this one you linked.

After being practically disabled for a month by a chiropractor, I have nothing good to say about them.

Two of my kids like to pop their necks and backs. I don't think it's a good idea.

Then there's this

If this is something you feel you need to do, please be very careful.

I think going to the chiropractor is great. I love going to mine, and it has almost zero risk of injury for most people. Now there have been cases of chiropractic care going wrong resulting in injury for those select few to various degrees. I hate that happened to you herbalhippe do you have previous injury’s, or was it just the chiropractor. Who you go to i think matters also because I know people in my town who couldn’t survive without their favorite chiropractor.
